woah almost 3k! good to see that both your work is paying off more and more! always informative and interesting content! so excited for you guys, and also excited to see you crush a lot of comps this year!
Hey, nice video, as always. So, did you think about naming your creation, the dynamic inside flag? The dif? The Zach dif? The Zdif? Anyways, you didn't mention it so just in case; you can change the angle on this (sandbagged) spray wall. Can't wait to have a good laugh at how difficult some of these campus moves looked. Also, depending on where you guys are on the island, if you are willing to traverse one bridge then you might be courageous enough to traverse them all; there are a lot of fun gyms in the suburbs. One day at a time, eh. Welcome again to our gray, impossible to park during the winter, how are there so many breweries and bars, damn some of these resturants are gems, babylonesque plethora of languages, yellow light means gogogo, Montreal. Enjoy your stay. (^:
The zach dif 😂 Yeah I didn’t know that the wall could adjust until I went to go warm up and came back to a 15 degree spray wall 😅 Yep we’ll cross all the bridges and try to make it to every gym eventually!! Lollll the parking has been stressing me out hard Ontario did not prepare me for this 😂😂😂😂 🙏
I'm pretty sure those comp boulders were set for a comp simulation that rose bloc hosted a few weeks ago for most of the quebec team and strong climbers in the region.
im new to climbing but this is where I go even if its a 50 min drive... sadly I just strarted and after 4 times I seems to have what look like Climber elbow.... I dont want to stop because I feel like bouldering is my favorit sport and just found it at 31.... I wish the gym had more Slabs because I love them, am good in them and also because its easier with my tendons issues. The gym is relatively expensive compared to the ones near where I am but its huge and offer cray if you dont have your own bag, for the difference in cost I still like to go there, just wish they offered yearly subscription
I don't spend a ton of time on comp style moves, but dynamic inside flags are a gamechanger for me, and IMO the most useful application of the inside flag generally. speaking of- it looks like you had a good opportunity to use it on the finishing move of the purple comp problem on the fat bluepill pinches
Love the vids man. Are you able to make a slightly harder Kilter climb? I accidentally flashed the V8 😅 (all thanks to your videos and the tip of the days). Keep up the good work. Can't wait for the comp vid in February 👍
Got a boulder in mind that I will definitely try to repeat with the dynamic inside flag! Also, how do you manage skin with these double sessions at gyms with so many macros and fiberglass holds?
Sickk hope it works well! Yeah it’s a battle honestly, I’m just starting to get a bit pink now. I find rhino performance helps. And then my rest week every 3 weeks is a good reset.
Yep- cutting down the volume a week or two out from a comp is definitely the most important thing! The idea is to make sure all of the training you do is at 90-100 percent of your capabilities which inherently means the volume will be lower! Personally I also like to do some 5on/5off practice the week leading up as well. This is because it’s not only important to make sure we’re physically peaked for a comp, but also mentally peaked. By doing two or three 5on/5off rounds right before a comp we get all of our tactical juices flowing in our mind and it helps our comp mode activate better for the event!
So sweet. The spray wall is adjustable as well. Cant wait for the beta bloc vid
Yeah it just goes to either 45 or 15 right?
@@richardsonsclimbing it can go any angle in between as well
Ohh hey good to know thanks

Hi, guys.
The gym is in Brossard (south shore of Mtl)
Cool place, good coffee, boutique, tons of parking spaces.
Hey, nice video, as always.
So, did you think about naming your creation, the dynamic inside flag?

great watch as always!
Canyon in LaPrarie tends to have a lot of jumping/dyno/coordination type moves

bro ur nice, good stuff
these gyms make me want to move to montreal
For real. It’s heaven
You probably already know this but I find that my pinch strength is shit when I haven’t eaten enough the day before or day of
Hey that’s a good point now that I think about I was only eating clif bars all day 😂

Hey zach, how do you schedule in a peak for a comp? Is it just about cutting down volume and intensity a week before?
