Sly and Arnie and all those 80's guys. Now we realise that they were realy good at those action movies, when you compare to todays action actors, they just had so much more presence
They were alot more unique, reason is that the action stars of today are thinking of Sly and Arny when trying to act in an action movie because they're so legendary; meaning a lot of their acting will have been seen before.
I absolutely love Stallone. He's like the godfather of action films. For anyone of any age, but especially guys who are aging, he's an inspiration for keeping in shape. I don't wish to meet many celebs but he's definitely one of them 👏
Wow, Sly seems so articulate and personable here. I never understood his popularity until just recently when I watched the Rocky movies (yes, all 6 of them!) for the first time. I absolutely loved them and was blown away when I learned that he wrote the screenplays himself. I've never paid attention to his career and basically only knew his name but I was always under the impression that he was just a somewhat dimwitted action star with marginal talent and a distinctive, parodic way of speaking. But this interview changed my perception of him completely around. He may not be an extraordinary actor (in that "true artist" sense) but he's sharper and more eloquent than I had imagined.
Can you believe that Stallone is 62 years old in this interview. He looks like he is in his 40's. This guy truly understands the secret of staying young.
Agreed! British talk shows are way better than American talk shows! Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton are two best greatest talk show host ever and I'm a born and raised in the U.S. by the way!
For all his movies, which specially in the 80s were quite violent, I think the key to Stallone's massive success has always been his niceness, his smile and the honesty in his eyes. You can't help but root for him always, no matter what he does.
Yes and even though they were action movies, there is this emotional and meaningful aspect to it that appeals to everyone That's why Rambo and Rocky movies tend to be such big hits
Rocky and Rambo are two iconic stars of the silver screen, we've all grown up watching the two legendary characters over the years and their exploits ,Stallone breathed life into both , he brought a realism and a soul to them, and over 40 years we've cheered, cried, laughed and been entertained by two of the biggest screen characters to ever hit the cinema.
I found Rocky II to be almost as good as the first. Its a direct continuation of the first and it has the same feel. If Rocky is a 10 id give Rocky II a 9.
Fantastic interview, I really love Stallone ,he has always seemed to keep his feet firmly grounded, seems like such a nice genuine guy, his story in life and how he made it big is one to be truly admired..
Yo Adrian! I think a lot of people agree w/ me about Sylvester Stallone being a great motivator for young people in the '70s-'80s to get back in shape. Thanks to him,I took boxing as a sport and got into superb physical condition.
Sly great script writer, great actor, great action hero. Keep those movies rolling - specially Expendables 3, if you decide to do it me & the lads be hitting the i-max theatres.
Great show! I love stallone and i was soooo happy that he may be filming another rambo. Bit please 600-1000 kills in this one. The last one was absolutely amazing.
I won tickets for Rocky 1! That was the beginning of a lifelong devotion to a fictitious character that sly not only created but lived! Then came Rambo, A rebel with "Just Cause" in my opinion and I could so relate to0 this in my life! So in sly 's characters, I found myself and I'm still fighting at aged 58! God Bless you Sly and either this side or the other, one day we will meet!
Love it when he talks about Rocky 4 because they made it with the mindset Expendables 3 should have had. Hard, hard R, little to no CGI, real men mano-o-mano
When Hard Rock Cafe opened in Jakarta, Indonesia in the early 90's, Sylvester Stallone officially opened it...He subsequently met with President Soeharto of Indonesia and they played a game of golf...Soeharto won and Sylvester Stallone said that he was very good at golf...Soeharto replied, "Yes, but you are better than me in the jungle!" :)
When Johnathen says 'i know you're a big fan of British cinema.. etc' Sly looks down twice as if to say 'I'm trying to think of any film from British cinema I like if he asks'
Thanks ,if it`s on here ,(youtube) ,I`ll check it out...I think he`s very sweet ,possibly finding the right lady ,and ,having 3 gorgeous daughters keeps him so down to earth. He just genuinely seems so approachable ,and ameniable ,you know? having watched his "Buddy"~~Bruce "I`m a STAR" willis~~Who upsets everybody he seems to come into contact with ,not to mention the 2 little British kids ,who had to "endure" the interview they were so looking forward to doing with him:(.Sly could teach him
I love that Sly and Arnie are such good friends, hanging out every weekend , going to the beach, smoking cigars..man, that would be one sexy pair to run into 😍
He is one of the biggest stars in the world and is still so down to earth, I just kept smiling throughout the whole interview.
Sly and Arnie and all those 80's guys. Now we realise that they were realy good at those action movies, when you compare to todays action actors, they just had so much more presence

Two absolute legends as well. Self made men, humorous and self deprecating despite their success.
Truly inspirational.
You are right. They showed their profession on television instead of playing someone with a profession (like actors nowadays tend to do)
Sly and Arnie made Action movies famous in Hollywood.....and nobody else!!
sven trogrlic Tom cruise!!!!
I absolutely love Stallone. He's like the godfather of action films. For anyone of any age, but especially guys who are aging, he's an inspiration for keeping in shape.
I don't wish to meet many celebs but he's definitely one of them 👏
STALLONE IS SO KIND AND TALENTED... there's no one like him. People love him.. everyone loves him for a reason.
what a pleasant guy!!! Sylvester always had a class and a heart, and it really shows. Love him and his movies, God Bless him and his family!!!
Wow, Sly seems so articulate and personable here. I never understood his popularity until just recently when I watched the Rocky movies (yes, all 6 of them!) for the first time. I feel like you would love the zoo
lamo lambda 😂 😂
Just the greatest guy
Total guy's guy. Old school. Love him.
Love his honesty and his off key joke about Rocky being more of a poet. He is very capable and intelligent.
+_Maidez_ Well with an 160 IQ he certainly is.
i like how hes critical of his own movies slys a cool guy
The Rocky films were a great inspiration to all of us teenagers in the 80's. And the music was fantastic to train to.
What a smart , articulate, disciplined and humble man. His movies gave me so much inspiration . There will never be a guy like this in Hollywood
Can you believe that Stallone is 62 years old in this interview. He looks like he is in his 40's. This guy truly understands the secret of staying young.
Actually he was 40 in 1986..so it was around the time he made Rambo 2 and Rocky 4 ...Dude was the hottest dude on planet at that time (I'm not gay)
Gorgeous man inside and out.
Sly is awesome! Watching this and realizing how much better UK talk show host are than U.S. ones. Great interview from the past.
Agreed! British talk shows are way better than American talk shows! Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton are two best greatest talk show host ever and I'm a born and raised in the U.S. by the way!
I love his eyes when he smiles:)
I love him im such a big fan of Sylvester Stallone, his films so inspirational!! and sly himself such an inspiration!!
Love it when females love Sly..,specially Rambo first blood/1
God I love this man. So down to earth. I grew up in the 80's on a diet of rocky and rambo. Hope he continues with the Rambo character.
Stallone is an underestimated genius - fantastic writer, director, actor with a heart of gold. Lovely guy.
such a nice guy, genuine.

'He was Wocky, he is Wambo'. lol :)
With all that he did before, It’s amazing what Stallone has done since this interview. He is the greatest Action Star.
I love how self aware Sylvester Stallone is
+il100374 “self aware”?! He’s not a bloody android! I bet even YOU are “self aware”. 😆
@@glenhardy4770 context is important. Idk if you're trying to be funny or you're a moron but either way, my condolences.
@@glenhardy4770 This weirdo comment screams "I'm 42 years old and I live in the UK"... head ass
😭
If you wrote and starred in Rocky you would be too head ass
@@il100374 you replied after 6 years? Damn 😂
Great interview, thanks for this upload! I give STALLONE 10/10!
He's the definition of tough and tender, that's what makes him so appealing
Excellent conversation!
He is very humble and modest for a phenomenal star.
+Λαυρέντιος Ψαροκάηκας He has the rep so doesn't really need a davidbrent-style inflatable tentpole to look any bigger =)
Nice guy, old school and down to earth!!!
I loved that! Love his sense of humour, especially breaking into the theme music.
Great to see Arnie, living action cinematic legend. I grew up with Rocky (Oscar winning film) and then Rambo (which was a great storyline).
I enjoyed watching and listening to this video. cool interview. go rocky go!! and rambo!!!
I love all of your movies and I've been your fan for yrs. Happy new year to all of the Stallion
Yo Adrian! I think a lot of people agree w/ me about Sylvester Stallone being a great motivator for young people in the '70s-'80s to get back in shape. Thanks to him,I took boxing as a sport and got into superb physical condition.
Wocky and Wambo :D
lol Wambo more than Wocky?
Such a cool guy even at his age...amazing :)
Rambo 4 was fucking amazing. Went and bought it same day on DVD - no regret.
Sly great script writer, great actor, great action hero. Keep those movies rolling - specially Expendables 3, if you decide to do it me & the lads be hitting the i-max theatres.
TOTAL RESPECT
Sylvester stallone is my all-time idol
Legend in the flesh
Great show! I love stallone and i was soooo happy that he may be filming another rambo. Bit please 600-1000 kills in this one. The last one was absolutely amazing.

Such a great interview.
Two people with speech impediments having a conversation? This should be subtitled! :D
Remarkable man Sly. 💪💪💪
Saw Rambo Last blood in the theatre Sunday night, Pune India. 🇮🇳
Lmao.... I love Stallone.
“You gonna do another one?”
“What am I gonna fight? Arthritis?”
"What am I going to fight? Arthritis?" Legend.
Love this guy.
When I was little I told my parents I wish Sylvester Stallone was my father... I'm 27 today and it doesn't get old. He's still my father
Love Sly, such a cool person
This guy is almost 70!! Amazing.
He has a great sense of humor and doesn't take life too serious.. 20 million dollars a movie and still successful..
See, I looooooooved Rocky IV. It's one of my favorite movies.
Love it when he talks about Rocky 4 because they made it with the mindset Expendables 3 should have had. Hard, hard R, little to no CGI, real men mano-o-mano
Thank You for Your movies, Sylvester
I was heart broken when Sly confirmed he will not be making one more Rambo movie ☹️
He said he would do Rambo, not Rocky :)
That's not what I heard. He wanted to do one more Rambo but is just not up to physicality of the role anymore.
But I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
steve17bf2 creed was not his film just stared in it . It was brought to him
He just posted a screenshot of Rambo 5 called Last Blood on his Instagram. Looks like it's happening.
Warren Spencer I'm not getting my hopes up. But it would be awesome.
I love how he's dressed so casually!
Yes i feel the same way i dont want him to go i love him so much
The greatest actor of all time. There shall never be another actor like him.
Robert Black totally agree...
You're both miles off. Hes the same guy in all his two roles. No where near the best actor. Hes still great tho.
I really like Sly, he seems like such a down to earth guy.
"For god's sake, make a film I can pronounce, will ya, for goodness sake" LOL
When Hard Rock Cafe opened in Jakarta, Indonesia in the early 90's, Sylvester Stallone officially opened it...He subsequently met with President Soeharto of Indonesia and they played a game of golf...Soeharto won and Sylvester Stallone said that he was very good at golf...Soeharto replied, "Yes, but you are better than me in the jungle!" :)
+Khalid Roche :-D
Ross: You have a couple of sons, that are pretty grown up now..
Sly: Yes their older than me now
LOL fuck that is funny lol
I love his honesty about Rocky 5.
The last Rambo movie is actually titled 'RAMBO' here in the UK
He was the SWEETEST guy on this show. I wonder if he's a fraction of that in real life.
He's like that in every interview so there must be something to it. He seems to me a genuinely good guy which is totally rare in Hollywood.
I've read he's pretty laid back with people away from the camera too.
+Prelestnost2 I can only hope.
+Stefano Pavone Interesting. I've heard a lot about his ego, but not "mellowing out", that's why I was so surprised seeing him like that.
+ClarenseE He does not pretend. He is NOT that good of an actor!
Stallone seems like a really nice straight up dude.
Your profile picture scared me for a second XD
Can't believe he voted Rocky 2 as the worst film of the saga. That's my favourite one. Stays very true to the 1st.
Actually he rated Rocky V as the worst.
Rocky 3 is the best imo
Agreed. I love the 2nd and 4th. 3rd was OK.
Clubber was more appealing than robot Drago.
He did not vote that as the worst
But I too personally think that it deserves to be a 10/10 too
very talented bloke to writer director actor I think he deserves more credit
Jonathon Ross is in heaven in this interview
You will be always my favOrite Stallone
Love frOm Afghanistan
When Johnathen says 'i know you're a big fan of British cinema.. etc' Sly looks down twice as if to say 'I'm trying to think of any film from British cinema I like if he asks'
This is like Jonathan's dream come true. He's so excited.
I can’t imagine anyone not loving rocky 2?!?! As if “yo, Adrian I did it” isn’t the most satisfying moment in cinematic history
Just went and seen Rambo: Last Blood, love seeing the character again!
Friday 15th February 2008

The icon of millions, billions and trillions now. The one and only Sylvester Stallone
Maaan, what a cool guy! So down to earth.
Stallone such a fun guy
Imagine pitching a chat show these days where the house band is called 4 puffs and a piano 😂😂😂
He’s just the best.
A living legend.
I love that Sly and Arnie are such good friends, hanging out every weekend , going to the beach, smoking cigars..man, that would be one sexy pair to run into 😍
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold And Bruce Willis are my top fav actors
Better add some subtitles to this interview
I love Rocky 2! Definitely the best one in my opinion!
I think I'm going to watch all the Rocky movies now.
I am from Burma and hearing him talk about Rambo 4 is thrilling
17:16 is the best part xD Sylvester: da na na da na na *boxing* xD
0:43 .. Well he made the Expendables. Jonathan can pwonounce that. In that movie Sly is playing Bawney Woss. And Schwawzeneggew is playing Twench.
This video was 2008, expendables was 2010 so the ring on his hand has nothing to do with expendables.
Bruh, Stallone is high! He gave Rocky II a 7.5. Rocky I and II are my favorite movies of all time!
I love the 1st but I actually prefer the 2nd.
why does sly have a suspiciously similar ring on his right hand, which arnold was sporting on the graham norton show?...........discuss.
Its the skull symbol from the movie ' the expendables' all the cast from the movie got one :)
Anthony Stockley oooooooooooh ok.....thanks :)
Very nice
love the guy, inspirational. cheers roc
