Deze opzetinstructie is ook bruikbaar voor de Cabanon Manga, Cabanon Chamonix, Cabanon Monaco, Cabanon Stratos, Cabanon Columbia, Europa Camper Sunliner, Europa Camper Suncruiser. Er zitten bij de ene wat meer stokken dan bij de andere, maar de manier van opzetten is verder gelijk.
Voor een overnachting is het mogelijk om alleen de wagentent op te zetten. Ook bij vertrek is het mogelijk om een dag ervoor alles al schoon te maken en op te ruimen, zodat alleen de wagentent op de dag van vertrek nog moet worden ingeklapt. Wanneer de vouwwagen bij slecht weer opgezet moet worden dan kan onder het tentdoek worden gewerkt, zodat alles droog blijft.
Deze modellen zijn snel en eenvoudig op te zetten, omdat ze slechts een paar stokken hebben. Door de boogstokken hebben ze ook een perfecte afwatering en zijn ze zeer stormvast. Uiteraard is er bij deze modellen ook voldoende ruimte om lekker onder de luifel in de schaduw te zitten.
Cabanon Mercury wagentent:
0:00 Vouwwagen waterpas zetten
Je begint met de vouwwagen waterpas te zetten. Dit doe je eerst in de lengterichting door het neuswiel hoger of lager te draaien. Daarna draai je de uitdraaisteunen uit. Hiermee kan je de vouwwagen in de breedte waterpas zetten en stabiliseren.
0:23 Haal het afdekzeil van de vouwwagen.
Indien je een vouwwagen met keuken hebt, dan haal je nu de keuken van de vouwwagen af. Bij een vouwwagen zonder keuken moet de verlichtingsklep verwijderd worden.
1:00 Vouwwagen openklappen
Nu kan het frame van de wagentent worden opengeklapt. Doe dit eerst naar links en vervolgens naar rechts. Pak nu aan de voor- en achterzijde van de vouwwagen de horizontale stokdelen en verbind deze met elkaar. Schuif de tentstokken uit, tot deze vastklikken in de daarvoor bestemde gaatjes. Klap vervolgens de bedden open en stel de bedpoten in hoogte af, zodat je bed waterpas komt te staan.
1:43 Binnentent bevestigen
Hang beide binnententen op. Begin met de hoekpunten en vervolgens de overige punten. Bij slecht weer kun je dit ook onder het tentdoek doen, zodat alles mooi droog blijft.
3:17 Tentdoek bevestigen
Vouw het tentdoek naar beneden en zorg ervoor dat dit rondom goed over het frame valt.
3:54 Tent afspannen
Begin aan de disselzijde met het afspannen van de wagentent. Pak eerst de afspanpunten links en rechts van het raam, dan de vier hoeken en als laatste de overige afspanpunten. Span het frame nu nog uit, zodat de tent mooi strak komt te staan.
Cabanon Mercury voortent:
5:26 Kuipgrondzeil uitvouwen
Vouw het grondzeil uit en rits deze vast aan de wagentent.
5:46 Boogstokken in elkaar zetten
Leg de boogstokken op het grondzeil neer, met de boogstok voor de keukenuitbouw onderop. De tweede boogstok laat je met de boog naar de wagentent wijzen en de derde boogstok moet met de boog naar de voorzijde van de voortent wijzen.
6:09 Voortent uitvouwen en bevestigen
Rits de voortent eerst links en rechts circa 20cm aan het grondzeil vast en rits daarna de voortent aan de wagentent. Rits vervolgens de voortent volledig aan het grondzeil vast.
7:12 Boogstok door de tunnel steken
Schuif de voorste boogstok volledig door de tunnel en strik de middelste lus strak om de stok heen.
7:52 Grondzeil afspannen
Span vervolgens alle afspanpunten van het grondzeil af. Begin met de twee haringen op de hoekpunten bij de vouwwagen en dan de twee hoekpunten aan de voorzijde.
8:15 Voortent opzetten
Til de boogstok van de grond en zet deze rechtop. Zet de middelste spanband vast aan de grond, maar zet deze nog niet volledig op spanning. Zet de achterste boogstok rechtop en rits de tunnel eromheen dicht. Doe hierna hetzelfde met de voorste boogstok en de boogstok van de keukenuitbouw. Strik de drie lussen strak om de boogstok van de keukenuitbouw vast.
Rits de voorwand in de tent en span daarna de boogstokken in hoogte af.
9:40 Voortent afspannen
Strik nu ook de overige twee lussen strak vast en trek de die spanbanden stevig aan. Span vervolgens alle afspanpunten van de voortent af. Als laatste trek je de spanbanden van de keukenuitbouw stevig aan.

Niet alle vouwwagens zijn gelijk natuurlijk. Een Camp-let of een Trigano Itinea staan veel sneller om er maar twee te noemen. Er zijn heel veel verschillende modellen en constructies elk met zijn eigen voor en nadelen.

Lol..great construction the zippers around poles was interesting design feature .looks heavy duty n..#1 ..curious how it holds up to big winds?...#2.. what is the towing weights on the whole pop up w trailer.#3.. are those actual storage pouches underneath the bed platforms accessed thru the outside. That would totally cool if so. Like a somewhat waterproof lg kangaroos style pouch for additional storage?
Hi! Pretty cool right?! :) To answer your questions:
#1 It holds up really good instormy weather due to the round shape and the storm bands on the front.
#2 The total weight is about 400 kg
#3 The storage under the beds is accessible through the inside. But it's also accessible when the whole tent is folded into the trailer! it's called the Easy Packing System.

That looks like a real pain to set up. If you have something like that you need to be staying where you are for at least a week!
It's actually not that hard. Yes, it takes some time so it's probaly more suited for people who like to stay in the same place a little longer. If you're staying just for one night, you can only set up the part in which you're sleeping. In that case it won't take you a lot of time.
If you choose to stay in one place a little longer, this tent trailer will give you a nice comfortable place to stay. But if you're more into a roadtrip and change location every other day, you'll probably be better off with another option like a camper.

Probably depends on what kind of traveller you are.. A lot of Dutch families stay on 1 campsite for at least a week, this provides a nice comfortable home away from home! :)

Wow, setup seems to take (surrisingly) much more time/effort compared with for example a Bardani tent. I wouldn't buy this one personally.
It all depends on what kind of traveller you are! :) For some this tent traileris ideal, for others a tent, caravan or camper is a better solution.
