i don't really believe michael hates toby cause he's divorced i think he hates toby cause he is HR and he is basically in michaels eyes a killer of all the fun in the office. also we notice David Wallace also hates his HR person so it doesn't seem uncommon that michael would respect david so much to copy him.
I have always interpreted that scene as Michael saving the cameraman and I genuinely thought that was just how you’re meant to take it. The camera keeps filming from the backseat until Michael opens the door and then the camera exits the car. I always found it funny that the cameraman was just so caught up with catching what had just transpired he forgot he was currently in the car that is sinking.
Idk why but knowing kevin had jims back instantly and was ready to throw down for him really made my heart melt. I already liked him but damn now i love him
It's not just tobey that gets hated on by management, when jim is interviewing with wallace, Wallace says something like "I think your gonna like everyone here, except the HR guy, he's the worst"
The worst thing of the entire serie (12:40) is not at all Roy and his brother breaking some glasses in a bar (they reimbursed afterwards ...) The worst thing is by far the rape attempt on Erin which was intended to be caught on camera, and probably sold on the Internet, and the fact there was no consequence about it (S9-Eps2). I would even put as second thing, Michael putting into trash the christmas food because he wanted it to be better just for his personal story while meeting again Holly (S7-Eps11).
Yeahh idk how people look over the Erin thing while talking about the series. I always hated Dwight Jr. (I don't remember his name anymore) even though they tried to make him into a somewhat normal, "tolerable" guy later on when he was shifted to Jim's desk.
Thanks for this The Office follow up. On point about the sense of realism. I believe there was an entire season of Seinfeld in which they hid JLD’s pregnancy and she was a main character 😂
We are having a lot of fun watching the Fan Favorite Extended episodes on Peacock. It's awesome seeing the scenes that were cut out, and sometimes wondering how they weren't kept in the show.
Awesome video, love how much work you put into finding all these little thing's. Haven't watched the show for ages & have watched it too many times to watch it again soon, this is a great little office fix.
We could also interpret the ending in a sense that Michael figured out that he always does not have to be the center of attention and be liked by people which is why we see so less of him :)
He doesn't hate Toby because of Divorce.... Toby's HR so basically he's "Captain Buzzkill" and when they'd be having fun and being silly... he's disapprove and also be liable to tell corporate. He's like the Teacher being in the class room.... they can't have real fun if the teacher is there!
In the office Michael tells jo that he wants holly to come back and work with them and jo said I will see what I can do then a few episodes later Toby leaves and holly is there and Toby is at jury duty. What if jo payed the people at the jury duty place to take Toby so then holly could come and work with Michael I have always thought of this while watching the show.
Michael doesn't hate Toby, he hates HR and he makes it pretty clear that they ruin the fun in the office. One of the most endearing conflicts he has is the fact that his future wife is also a representative of HR. It's one of the many facets of Michael Scott's character that make him so great, alot of his misconceptions are his reaction to societal norms he doesn't fully understand and once they conflict with his core belief of caring for people, he questions and changes himself.
It's also thought to be bad luck to play pregnant while you're pregnant. If you lose the baby or something else terrible happens, it's a rough role to continue.
I have a hard time falling asleep & staying alseep so i often will replay a youtube video every time i wake up in the night and fall asleep to the same thing multiple times. Last night i replayed this video 4 times. Youre welcome for the watch time boost
22:03 The 3rd affair was at Tallahassee. There's a scene(IDK if it was deleted) when Cathy came to Jim's room and Stanley was outside walking with a woman.
Andy also went kind of crazy and probably sunstroked out on the boat, and who knows what else he got up to or into down in the Caribbean. I thought that was maybe a turning point for him too
Not a theory or iceberg thing…but my wife and I still talk about the jarring shift in (almost) everyone’s treatment of Jim and Pam. Not just banal annoyance stuff. Like…they seem to really dislike them. 5th season I think. It always felt like writers creating new tension for tension’s sake…but Idunno…maybe there are some subtler background reasons for it that I missed during my 13 rewatches.
Michael hates HR because he wants his coworkers to be his family and HR has policies "to make it not that"(as michael says to Toby) Michael is mistreated by his stepdad and mom, so he never had a real family. Toby being divorce adds to Michael's disdain. Some evidence for this thought is the episode where HOLLY gives the company's ethics seminar and Meredith confesses to her violation. In this episode Michael admits Meredith is a bad employee but defends her at lunch with Holly. Michaels calls his people a family and Holly says they arent family. Michael then goes through the rest of the episode angry and treating Holly bad. (Who he loves) Michael's number one priority is His employees who he keeps as his family. That is why Michael hates Toby
The best thing about The Office is how much depth it has for a show about something as banal as office life. On the foreground is this hilarious show with whacky scenarios but in the background there's so many elements of boring old 9-5s.
Creed reading the seahorse label actually really roughly translates to dont mix with alcohol I think. So honestly that theory is probably really possible
You are way off in left field with the whole Mike-hates-Toby-because-of-his-divorce thing. The reason behind his dislike of Toby is so simple and obvious it doesnt even need explanation.
You say stanley only has 2 on screen affairs... you forgot about Tallahassee. He hooks up with that blonde from the bar. The same night Kathy tried to hook up with Jim. So he does say the truth about 3 affairs
I have a theory: Meredith is actually Michael’s sister. We meet her son in season 2 who never had a name. Let’s just assume he was about eleven years old. Then six years later, her son is actually Luke, Michael’s nephew. Meredith got married to a man with the last name Palmer without Michael knowing and got divorced shortly after so she got drunk which changed her appearance, which adds to the fact that Michael doesn’t know.
This all was in the first iceberg. I just watched the first one yesterday and came up to second one today, it feels like rewatching it in different order. Dissapointed.
Same like he talked about Angela’s pregnancy, Michaels appearance in the last episode, and the table in the conference room all in his first video It’s literally exactly the same information repeated
How many childen does Meridith have? Early season she brings her one son into work. Later season she tells Angelea she had a second kid just for the maternity leave. Any one else notice this?
i understand why people think phyllis and stanley had an affair but i think that’s just people assuming 2 people are more than they are i see it happen all the time around me. i think they’re just good friends
Thank you for calling out the fact Jim buying his parents house without consulting pam was utterly awful thing to do. He roped Pam into paying a mortgage and a renovation on this house, so his parents can retire. Leaving pams parents with nothing and pam stuck in some random house she has zero connection to, that she visibly doesn't like.
i don't really believe michael hates toby cause he's divorced i think he hates toby cause he is HR and he is basically in michaels eyes a killer of all the fun in the office. also we notice David Wallace also hates his HR person so it doesn't seem uncommon that michael would respect david so much to copy him.
exactly! Michael fas SOOOOO ready to hate Holly before he realized she is just like him
Yeah and andy says he hates toby sometimes too, it's just an hr thing i guess lol
100% jim does the same thing
Michael hated Toby before he even met David Wallace
Yeah he just hates him because he can’t allow most of the stuff Michael wants to do in the office.
I have always interpreted that scene as Michael saving the cameraman and I genuinely thought that was just how you’re meant to take it. The camera keeps filming from the backseat until Michael opens the door and then the camera exits the car. Cameraman never dies. He/She knew.

Agreed 💯
It's not just tobey that gets hated on by management, when jim is interviewing with wallace, Wallace says something like "I think your gonna like everyone here, except the HR guy, he's the worst"
that part makes me think part of michael hating HR is because he looks up to david wallace
@@ChrissaTodd he hated tobey before David Wallace was CFO
Man they really did Jim dirty with the whole koi pond thing
Big Tuna Jim did nothing wrong
He deserved it
he was just startled, I guess
'Jim' I mean
(just said this to remind - yeah its a series, of course its scripted whatever... before anyone else)
When Toby says interworkplace relationships should be disclosed to HR, Phyllis asks “What about one night stands?” Possibly talking about Stanley???
Phyllis was known in college as Easy Rider.
Did u not watch the last video? Or are u just gonna keep commenting shit from it
That Michael cameo for the series finale always gets me in the feels. Even got me just referencing it in this video.
Ive been watching you since 10k and love the growth youve had, heres to you getting 1 million!!!
Thanks friend

The last one is quite obvious though, Michael even looks at the camera crew as if he's saying "get out!"

I think Phyllis mentions a one night stand with someone in the office at some point in the early seasons too
i farted watching this, it relieved my constipation. i paused and came back to it while on the toilet and managed to pass a kidney stone. thanks!
Angela's first husband was also on an episode. He was toby's brother or cousin that he facetimes
I always thought Michael hates Toby because he forgot his birthday in one of the earlier episodes. The hatred pretty much starts from there!

You forget that Roy did better himself, in the end of the Offive when he was getting married.
He sung!
Roy's Brother lost money on a Jetski Deal. That's why He's so mad.

I have a personal theory that Robert California is also Alan Shore from The Practice/ Boston Legal. He is a 'Catch Me If You Can' type con-artist.

I cannot respect anyone who says Phyllis is one of their favorites. She is the very worst out of the Scranton branch and I hate every scene of hers.
Jesus that’s Toby‘s actual wife… How????
His bank account 😂
GOODBYE TOBY! GOODBYE TOBY!
I feel like I always assumed there were two conference rooms one with a table and one without a table.
18:39 wrong! Dwight in 3 words: Bears, Beets…Battlestar Galactica!
25:00. Except that there's literally no possible way a person would fit in the back seat. Oops.
Dropping the parks and rec part 2 might push ya over the 100k 😆
Holy shit I can’t believe I never thought about the table in the conference room till this video.
Never realized how often the layout would change.
You can see the camera man’s hand when Michael try’s to live in the woods

Pam kissed Jim in the first Dundies episode as well
About the fish I saw another iceberg on the office and it said that Michael couldn’t take care of a fish for more than a few days 8:00
Will your name change to 100k productions? XD
Pam kissed Jim at the dundies
Pam and her PAM PAMS!
Do you happen to know why the number 9986 (from the farewell song to Michael) was reused in IASIP's S12 E6 for the arbitration cost?
You say stanley only has 2 on screen affairs... you forgot about Tallahassee. He hooks up with that blonde from the bar. The same night Kathy tried to hook up with Jim. So he does say the truth about 3 affairs
I guess it's almost time to call the channel 100K Productions now
Does brooklyn 99 has icebergs related to it? I mean it is created by one of parks And rec writer Dan Goor and is a part of Schuriverse
Michael's hatred of Toby is the funniest part of the show to me.

I have a theory that Pam cheated on Jim with Brian the boom guy in season 9, which makes sense considering that Jim and Pam had a rough relationship.
She deff had a goofy chemistry like they had did something with him at some point forsure
You don't have that theory, the internet does lol
and jim cheated on pam in philly so they are even
@@j-bob_oreono he didn’t, he actively avoided cheating on her as much as humanely possible by using Dwight to get rid of Cathy

The first Pam and Jim kiss was during The Dundies when Pam was drunk, so yeah either way they did kiss twice.
