Connect a EARTH strap to the rear of the cylinder head to the bell housing bolt. This will help with preventing cylinder head corrosion on alloy head. The earth strap was fitted from new on the XE & XF alloy heads but wasn't fitted towards the end of the XF model run . The earth strap takes the electrical load from the starter motor when cranking the engine.
Great informative video guys, would love to see more of this! I've got a few little projects that will be receiving a raptor makeover! My boat, trailer and my XG ute!
Nothing. It wasnt completely removed to begin with. If thats your goal its a whole different ballgame which requires time, money, labour and the right workspace/environment
@@aaronnoyb the RAPTOR Epoxy Primer applied provides anti-rust protection 👍we recommend removing as much rust as possible during the surface prep and bodywork phase. Another product we can recommend for treating and sealing rust that cannot be removed prior to RAPTOR application is Brunox RustStop Epoxy. Learn more here: brunox.com.au/
@@raptorcoatingsaustralianz yea I do think raptor coat as a tub liner would be okay. I’ve never seen it in person but could imagine it would suit it well.
Is it just me, or did it look better in the blue primer?
sure did
Raptor coating isn't meant to look good, it's used allot on 4x4 vehicles so you don't have to worry about scratching shiny paint
After all that you showed the car with no sunlight😅😅😅
Had to hide how bad it really looked.
Awesome job, im going to do the same thing to my AU falcon ute in afew weeks.
Awesome stuff! Go for it!
Thanks for watching!

Personally, I only like the coating inside the ute tray. Its ideal for that and a good product!
Everyone has their fave way of using RAPTOR!
Same SA place Jock's doing the body work on the redlux!
Its the place to be! 😎
Just seen this driving through Gawler. Thought to my self I've seen this car somewhere!
Famous down south!

Thanks so much!
I’ve seen a few people with Raptor coated Hiluxs this looks awesome. Im looking to make a project and would be awesome to use raptor
That would have looked 10x better if it was painted white
We'd love to see one in white too! The owner wanted a big impact facelift on this rig, including the colour choice!
Looks unreal do you want to do my troopy in the same colour but it needs some rust welding done. I’m I’m in NSW though
The door handles always broke so did the window winder
Did I miss a step, what stops the rust coming right back, did you treat it with something??

@@cpzmelbs There I was hoping upol made some magic potion to stop rust.

Had xd ute crashed it. Still wish haddint. Like em' thanx
And as the rust that should have been removed grows all that bog will fall out better off doing it properly the first time
We definitely recommend removing as much rust as possible first!
show it in light // piss the schutz gun off 2.5mm gravity with a touch of thinners all day everyday 1000 times better finish
Thanks for watching, mate!
The reveal was wayyy too quick and did no justice to the effort.
Bummed the F out
All that prep work just to ruin it with raptor paint. Each to there own. Definitely not for me tho.
Cheers, mate! Everyone has their own tastes, for sure :) How do you feel about RAPTOR on bar work or trays?
