The IOC, in 1986, had decided to split both the Summer and Winter Olympics, and arrange for them to take place on separate four-year cycles in alternating even-numbered years. To note, the last Games ever to be staged in the same year were in 1992, in Albertville for the Winter Games, and in Barcelona for the Summer Games.
I still think Barcelona 1992 intro is the most influential, it might not be the most technologically advanced for its time, but every intros that follow - except probably the groundbreaking Rio - took something from its style and aesthetic, which stray from the purely graphical themes to more cinematic one.
I remember all those OBS channels we got here in the UK when London hosted the Games in 2012! We had the BBC as usual, but we got all these extra channels being in the country of the host city! 🇬🇧❤️🥇

Second intro in compilation was aired in Poland, by TVP1, the first (oldest and nowadays most popular channel in Poland, if public TV is excluded, Polsat should be most popular one (mainly through Left people, especially CP (short for Civil Platform, in polish it is Platforma Obywatelska or PO in short) and Poland 2050)) channel of Polish State Television (PST, PolStaTel or TVP (from polish word "Telewizja Polska"; used in channel names owned by namesake broadcaster)), maybe in late 2000's to early 2010's (but not later than 2013, SD version was almost entirely replaced by Fokus TV)
And I am asking you to make an update of all intros of logos from the Summer Olympics until 2021, i.e. to the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and then again you will make another update of the same, only by adding the intro from the Olympic Games in 2024 in Paris. Best wishes 😃😃✋✋
