      @@jaidenmckimm6527 for some mutation this can be very difficult. In most mutations the White troath patch is visible and then you know it's a male. If this is not visible it's much more difficult. You can check their legs males have slightly more Orange legs. Otherwise the sounds they make. Check out my loud quails video to check their sounds, male really crow, female call.

    Very nice video showcasing some really cute king quails :D I don't think I have seen the tuxedo mutation before. I quite like it. I have a silver hen, and a red hen, with a wild type male. Hoping for some chicks eventually. Wonder if they are carrying some recessive mutations as well. Looking forward to see that. Keep up with the nice videos :D

    Hi just discovered your channel and appreciate it content After viewing several of your videos I notice your transport cages. May I suggest something that I've found to be helpful. In order to easily transfer birds from transport cages with a minimum of stress and handling .In the transport cage on the opposite side of the capturing door(exit) I install a sliding soft wall (cloth) that can be brought closer to the exit reducing the size of the cage where the birds can easily be caught without chasing them (in case of several birds and perch I removed excess perch and keep only the one close to the exit making the transfer simple and smooth. Also I let them settle down and dim the light.One step further you can used red or green frontal light as it also reduce their stress.Just a suggestion with no pretension .Keep on going your a nice source of information Sincerely.

    • @MrAviary
      @MrAviary  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the tip how did you install the sliding part? Very curious to know

    • @gilauth6791
      @gilauth6791 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sliding wall is support and slid on 4 inside the cage small stainless rods one in each corner ¾ from either side( 2 on top 2 at the bottom) I've also frame the wall on either side with small strip of wood and drill holes to insert the rods in. I also secure the cloth to the wood with a little glue Hope it makes sense to you Ps:Sorry for my English as I really practice it Have a good day

    Fantastic video👏🏼
    You’ve got the genetics almost spot on!
    With the Aa x Aa you will be able to get Males and females which are AA, Aa and aa, not just AA males, as it is a recessive and dominant mutation, they aren’t found on the sex chromosomes so can be either M or F.
    Hope this helps!😁

    • @MrAviary

    I like the natural colour the best. Also pure white ones are cute as they look like snowballs. My quails keep brooding 8 eggs and each time one one chick hatches out. Can you tell me why plz?
