    Chetan Nagendra had to drop out of school in Mandya and move to Bengaluru to work in a factory due to financial hardships back home. However, he soon found himself without a job when the assembly line was automated. Desperate and dejected with no employment available, he went to work at his relatives' chaat cart for a meagre wage of 20 rupees a day. Eventually, it dawned upon him that he too could begin something of his own, where no one could fire him again. And thus began his streetfood venture peddling tikki puris in Jayanagar. 20 years on, Chetan’s Tikki Adda has amassed a popular local following for his scrumptious tikki puri and masala bun fare, some traditional and others inspired, as I learnt from a gaggle of food lovers on a recent visit to the neighbourhood. Hope you enjoy this episode, do support your local enterprises. Take care, stay safe and strong; happy eating!

    My father used to say. America prides itself on being a melting pot. But we Indians pride ourselves on being a mosaic. In a melting pot everything becomes homogenized. While in a mosaic every piece has a distinct identity yet they combine to become a gorgeous whole. Chaat should be like a mosaic. You should be able to taste the the distinct notes and flavors. But they mingle to give a delicious treat.

    Everything is good and appreciative. By looking at the way doing his business, definitely his daily turnover will not be less than 5000 to 10000. Not only this cart, almost every carts turnover will be not less than 5000 rupees. Employed Taxpayers wants to know how much tax he is paying and what is gst for tiki puri costing Rs. 40/-per plate. Whereas a modest darshini shows gst for even coffee priced at Rs. 10/-. How much bribe he is paying daily for police collection. I appreciate if Krunal asks all these pani pari, churimari, gholcuppa vendors that how much they give collection to police and what is their gst payment.

    • @softgrowl
      @softgrowl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mr. Nadengra, he is not Krunal. That's none of your business. What one earns and how much tax one pays is none of other person's business. How you assume the amount of turnover. Taxation is based on actual revenue less expenses and some estimates and not on the basis of wild guess of a random person. Taxpayers want to know... Blah... Blah... Define a taxpayer? Who is that stupid taxpayer who wants to know somebody else's income? Is it not indecency?
