I realised that I was "adulting" when I started going to college - paying college rent out of my allowance (back then), managing my own meals, and the most confusing part (and still is), getting around on public transportation without getting lost! But it's even more obvious when I have to start paying my own bills and getting a side-income job. It's both a scary and thrilling experience all at once!
I am so jealous that you guys are able to have these sorts of conversation bc I am struggling to talk about these stuff with my sisters or my mum like I just yearn to have meaningful convo like this but aaa i never have one its so difficult
I relate with Amal so much! Thank you for doing this podcast and talking about adulting. Its a topic that i discuss with my peers a lot! im also doing my degree in Psych, sometimes i have second thoughts on my major and knowing that its perfectly fine to not know where we are doing, enlightens me. Completely agree with this whole episode but as I was watching this video, one of the main things that popped into my head was that part of adulting also meant learning to balance time with family & friends which I thought would be great if you could bring it up the next time around! :) Regardless, loveeeeee loveeee how the two of you put things in perspective and would love to join in the conversation someday :)
