Hello from russia. If you like white fatalis then you obviously love its soundtrack. You sure hear words in this song, but it is likely that you dont know the translation. Once i was fighting this bad boy i heard something familiar and couldn't believe myself. I relistened the soundtrack and found out that there was definitely one line in russian, only one. So the used language in this song might be the combination of different languages. And the most important thing is the translation of this line: ты бессмертный сын богов. It is translated in English as: you are the immortal son of gods. This actually fits perfectly to its intro.

Dude I am so glad somebody shares my absolute love for the entire fatalis family, especially white fatty. I remember farming for his armor set and somebody mentioned I was either incredibly lucky, or I was one of the best fatalis hunters alive. honestly I'm only so good at white fatalis because I never defeated him back in my freedom unite days. so whenever I fight him I'm driven by the passion for revenge and I become incredibly focused on that awesome fight. not saying I'm the best, or even an elite, since certain monsters give me plenty of trouble (looking at you, brachydios) but I refuse to ever let the fatalis family defeat me again lol. good video bruh you got a new sub

Can’t wait for the updated version once you finish freedom unite! Personally, Lao Shan Lung is my favourite elder dragon. Partially because proof of a hero plays at the end of the fight.
It's an unpopular opinion, but God damn I love Lao Shan Lung. I admit his fight isn't as great as many of the later Elder Dragons of similar size, but every time I see him, I'm right back in Freedom Unite- a kid holding a PSP, staring in awe and wonder at a monster larger than he even thought possible at the time. When seeing that giant bastard stand up and roar was one of the first times I ever stopped in a game for a moment and wondered, "Can I do this? Am I good enough?" and the rush at discovering the answer to be yes was incredible. I hope that one day, they will bring Lao back, as a proper adult (one with a skull to match the shell of a Shen Gaoren), and really give him the fight he deserves.
Oddly enough, one of my favorite Elder Dragons to fight is Teostra, because he counters my play style. I'm an SnS user (not a great SnS user, but it's my favorite weapon, so it's what I use) so my first instinct is to run in underneath a monster and stab them 37 times in the grundle, which usually doesn't work out when fighting Teo, since he's either running, flying, or blowing up. It forces me out of my comfort zone, which is oddly fun for me.
I know what you mean. I do really love the Teostra fight too. It can be a really good challenge. Also I think that its nova blast is a very deadly move. I don't think capcom knows how to make a bad elder dragon (excluding Kirin and its subspecies). Also, I use to use SnS, but I was horrible with it. That is defiantly not my type of weapon.
Anthony Ridolfi that's how I fight teostra too. I just use biology for blast immunity and go crazy with a poison SnS (gypceros in 4u, iodrome in gen). that way he's still taking damage during the times you can't comfortably access the grundle
RedLeopardVideos Let me say this, the Kirin fight is one of the only fights they made harder, lol (plus Teostra, no supernova before MH4U) I'm not sure how far you are as of this comment in MHFU, but Kirin's back doesn't really bounce much... TBH I don't know if that's the case for all weapons, b/c for that lil horsy I prefer the SNS, which is basically the sharpest weapon there is.

Nope, it is not a cuttlefish, it is a Kraken. The word "cuttlebone" is only used because a cuttlefish and octopus have the same beak/mouth. Everything about it shows that it resembles an octopus, from it's eyes to the fact that it OBVIOUSLY has tentacles. xD I don't think Cuttlefish have those. Hahaha
I know you said you were playing MHF just wanted to add that my favorite elder dragon will always be the Lao Shan. It's segment fighting and soundtrack is amazing!
when I played monster hunter 4 ultimate, I fell in love with the Dalamadur/Shah Dalamadur. when I heard generations was coming out, I was praying that it would continue. Sadly, it never did. But if you see this comment (you probably won't) please tell me if you feel the same way.
Yeah I really wanted them both to return to MHGen, but I knew that they won't. I hope that they might return in a future Monster Hunter game. There is a slight chance for them to return in MHXX, but I doubt it. IF they do return, which they most likely will, it will be in MH5U or Monster Hunter Switch (if that is a thing).
Hey RedLeopard. I am new to your content but I have been very much enjoying your Monster Hunter videos. I generally like MH Content on youtube but not to the point where it interests me to check out a youtuber's channel but you are a first. Keep up the great content :) (Also my favorite elder dragon is Alatreon due to me never fighting it in 3U and having this personal story with it that continues to this day and will end when i finally solo Alatreon in Generations.)

My top 5 Elder Dragons: 1. Kushala Daora. Not only my favourite Elder Dragon, but also my favourite monster in the whole series, this thing is everything I could want from a monster. I could go into a whole essay about why I like this monster, but I don't want to bore you. So next up: 2. Chameleos. Never really payed much attention to this guy when I fought him in 4U. But then I fought him in Freedom Unite. Let's just say I was not disappointed. 3. Yama Tsukami. Being the only Elder Dragon that hasn't appeared in a main series game since Freedom Unite, I had made it my mission to get through the ranks in that game for the sole purpose of fighting this guy, and he was simply AMAZING. It's also my favourite monster in the series to get an arena designed around them. 4. Fatalis Trio. These guys are awesome. Serving as the final challenge to most games they've appeared in, I find it hard not to like them. In fact, soloing White Fatalis is one of the most memorable experiences I have. Although, screw Black Fatalis in Freedom Unite. He does way too much damage, and doesn't have enough attacks to make the fight more interesting. Crimson and White were still frickin' amazing in that game though. 5. Jhen Mohran. The very first Elder Dragon I fought in the series, before even Ceadeus, was the Jhen Mohran. I remember going into Loc Lac city one day, to find that the place was covered in a sandstorm. Every single citizen was raving on and on about this "Jhen Mohran" that I knew nothing about at that point in time. I opened the quest log, to see the very first quest available in the event section was "Festival on the Sea of Sand", and the objective was to repel a Jhen Mohran. I decided to initiate the quest, and I currently have no regrets. One of my favourite parts of the series, and it really makes me miss Tri. And that's my list. I probably would have included Amatsu on here, but I have not had the pleasure of fighting him yet (I will very soon, though. I just got to HR7 in Generations, and I have no intentions of stopping). BTW, Dire Miralis isn't actually all that great. It's nothing more than a massive albeit incredibly slow Crimson Fatalis. The underwater sections and the fact that you have to target the weak points is pretty cool though (and it's currently one of only two fight in the series that has more than one Dragonator).

There is a singular Elder Dragon above all else in terms of power, this monster carved one continent into two single handedly. During the war between the Wyverians and the Elder Dragons there was a Black Fatalis who would melt down the corpses of hunters and use them as armor. Doing this he lived longer than any other, gaining power and becoming the closest thing to a god. The BlackFire Fatalis!!!

I don't know I think it's a great detail. Also, am I the only one who hates the Kirin but who appreciate Kirin Oroshi ? Anyway I found out your videos recently and I love them ! Great job ^^
Well.... In some way I consider Oroshi even worse because I´m playing SnS, a quite fast weapon that doesn´t hit too hard and so I heavily dislike to bounce off all the time because it breaks my combos.... Given that I even manage to hit this thing...
I don't say Oroshi is a nice monster, I still don't like him very much. But I don't know I find his ice attacks more easy to dodge and that they do less damages than the thunder attacks. I use insectoglaive, so I try to get a ride as often as I can to hit him while he's on the ground. Also I can use my kinsect to do some bonus damages if I can't really touch him because of his "bouncing" body. But I do understand your pain in a way.
I can't believe that I did not mention that. I completely forgot about that. Also I think that I hate Oroshi Kirin even more than I hate the Kirin, which is saying something. Just curious, why do you like the Oroshi Kirin?
A bit of it is write in my previous comment. But first I'd say the design (it's a big detail I know, but I think he"s great looking) And I killed the Oroshi way more easily than the "normal" Kirin. I think ice attacks are way more easy to take care of than the thunder attacks. But It's just my opinion, I understand that some people are struggling with these ice things coming from everywhere. Also killing these unicorn with a weapon like the hammer or the GS is way more harder (I think) than killing them with a "fast combo weapon". And since I use the Insectoglaive and the god Kinsect (kinsect does some bonus damage so it's cool) I don't struggle too much. In short, I like the design and I think the ice is way less dangerous than the thunder. There is also the weapons (let's not talk about the armor) that I find great ! I'm not gonna say he's a monster that I love. But compare to his "white thunder friend" I appreciate him.

Hahahaha In MH4U I found it disappointing that the Fatalis brethren just do a lot of damage with their fireballs. The real Fatalis does not do a 'lot of damage' with it's fireballs, back in MH1-MHFU... It instakills you. xD
Jordan Her Dude, no joke. The last boss Shagaru Magala was the most disappointing village boss I fought in the ENTIRE series! Bosses in the previous MH games were actually hard and did a lot of damage, and were basically a test of everything that you learnt and putting your skill to use. But Shagaru Magala was honesty disappointing in so many levels... I fucking killed it in 10 MINUTES with an UNUPGRADED Gore Magala insect glaive and minimum preparation! The fuck is this? xD Is this still Monster Hunter?
Smohr C: Actually, no it was not bullshit. The whole journey in MH1/MHF2/MHFU, etc, was a hard one that required you become skilled and develop the proper mindset of a hunter. If by that point you still are reckless enough to get hit by a fireball, I think the game has every right to punish you for that. Besides, fireballs are the easiest thing to dodge. lol
I do think that you should have mentioned the fact that you can break off the dragonator on Gogmazios’s back and use it against him but other than that, great list my man!
You know what, I wouldn't mind if it was actually called Gogmazio. I mean... Ever since Rathalos got a name that ended with "OS", all new monsters just LOVE to have that too! xD Brachydios, Seregios, Astalos, Gogmazios, etc.
Gogmazios is actually the literal pronunciation of Gogumajiosu, spelt in a way that english speakers would say correctly. Dalamadur (Dara Amadyura) is the same, but a lot of people tend to say "Dala Madurr" instead of Dal-Amadyur. It is pretty badass how the names are consistent for many newer Elder Dragons.
New to the channel and dude sorry you can never mount them monsters cause you use a hammer but at least your a heavy hitter for the team that is just as important as being the monster mounter on the team. 👍🏻 And dude Dalamadur is just like whoa that thing is gigantic...and there is a hidden easter egg in monster hunter world where if you go to the rotten vale and jump down from the camp you can see its head and body parts as you walk through the vale. Hey, I got a question about the Hammer Techniques in MHG. How do you make that upswing at the end of the XX Combo at 2:29? I know that you were able to do this by pressing X three times in the previous games, but in MHG it's not this way.
It depends on what style you are using. I usually just press X three times and it will work, but if that does not work, then you can push X X and then A+X. Or you can push A+X three times. Try doing one of those two methods and see if it works for you.
Alright, I tried other styles and it's true. I was using the striker-style all the time because I thought that's best with hammer, but I really missed this last upswing because it had so much power. It works normally with three times X if I'm going with guild style... so thank you very much, mate. Keep up the good Vids!

SO few people put them in their videos, and I’ve been spoiled of gore’s role in 4U, several final g-rank hunts, and I’ve been spoiled of 3 subspecies for iceborne, and I’ve almost been spoiled of some new elder dragon. Btw I just realized, but how the heck did you "not feel like unlocking Jhen Mohran" or "didn't get far into MH3U" ,even though you already fought Goldbeard Ceadeus? xD Like, you'd already even have Jhen's subspecies unlocked by this point. lol
My favourite elder dragons go: 5. Teostra 4. Shagaru Magala 3. Alatreon 2. Chemeleos 1. Amatsu Honorable mentions: White Fatalis, Gogmazios, Kushala Daora, Nakarkos, Ceadeus Hope to see a lot of these monsters return in Monster Hunter World, if not in the base game, then later as dlc. Most would make sense given how the game’s story revolves around elder dragons migrating to this new continent, plus tell me they wouldn’t look orgasmic in HD.
I have it on Wii U but I had a hard time understanding online, so I did it solo, it was a loooong fight... I also had to farm him solo... I hate him because of that

I despise Dalamadur in either incarnation. Too scripted, too much health, annoying arena, meteors and mediocre music. You're still entitled to your opinion, though.
Agreed. The first time left me awestruck, but the subsequent hunts became a chore. It really loses it's magnitude when you're stuck helping a bunch of randoms break HR.
Dalamadur have a cool fight and cool fight theme. Good weapons and armor of it's deviant but Yeah sometimes the meteors are anoying but just for its power it deserves to be there
Well to be fair. I play monster hunter and it's not like it has own show about them catching these monsters and throwing them out to fight where they say their own name with everything they do. I mean my brain feels like it's about to burst just trying to figure out it's name. I like how he pronounces it with pride. Through if you have a place where they correctly say their names please tell cause I feel like some sort of devil came up with these names.
I actually really like the underwater too. Not preferable but still really fun once you start to get good at it. Super satisfying pwning lagiacrus in their own turf.
nakarkos is a squid (or cuttlefish) not an octopus XD also F chameleos, while i do have counters for its poison and thieving its still the CHEAPEST ELDER DRAGON EVER! still a nice list tho
Seirra Moon How is Chameleos cheap exactly? It's Poison isn't as potent as P. Gypceros (Who also can steal items), Nerscylla, or Yian Garuga. It doesn't hit hard... Like at all (Seriously Chameleos needs to hit the gym), and it's invisibility is easy to deal with. Personally the only problem I have with it is that good forsaken tail. *Why hasn't it been severed yet!?*

when I played monster hunter 4 ultimate, I fell in love with the Dalamadur/Shah Dalamadur. when I heard generations was coming out, I was praying that it would continue. Sadly, it never did. But if you see this comment (you probably won't) please tell me if you feel the same way.
Yeah I really wanted them both to return to MHGen, but I knew that they won't. I hope that they might return in a future Monster Hunter game. There is a slight chance for them to return in MHXX, but I doubt it. IF they do return, which they most likely will, it will be in MH5U or Monster Hunter Switch (if that is a thing).
Then let's pray to the almighty shagaru magala that the king of the Dragon snakes, will return.

My top 5 Elder Dragons:
1. Kushala Daora. Not only my favourite Elder Dragon, but also my favourite monster in the whole series, this thing is everything I could want from a monster. I could go into a whole essay about why I like this monster, but I don't want to bore you. So next up:
2. Chameleos. Never really payed much attention to this guy when I fought him in 4U. But then I fought him in Freedom Unite. Let's just say I was not disappointed.
3. Yama Tsukami. Being the only Elder Dragon that hasn't appeared in a main series game since Freedom Unite, I had made it my mission to get through the ranks in that game for the sole purpose of fighting this guy, and he was simply AMAZING. It's also my favourite monster in the series to get an arena designed around them.
4. Fatalis Trio. These guys are awesome. Serving as the final challenge to most games they've appeared in, I find it hard not to like them. In fact, soloing White Fatalis is one of the most memorable experiences I have. Although, screw Black Fatalis in Freedom Unite. He does way too much damage, and doesn't have enough attacks to make the fight more interesting. Crimson and White were still frickin' amazing in that game though.
5. Jhen Mohran. The very first Elder Dragon I fought in the series, before even Ceadeus, was the Jhen Mohran. I remember going into Loc Lac city one day, to find that the place was covered in a sandstorm. Every single citizen was raving on and on about this "Jhen Mohran" that I knew nothing about at that point in time. I opened the quest log, to see the very first quest available in the event section was "Festival on the Sea of Sand", and the objective was to repel a Jhen Mohran. I decided to initiate the quest, and I currently have no regrets. One of my favourite parts of the series, and it really makes me miss Tri.
And that's my list. I probably would have included Amatsu on here, but I have not had the pleasure of fighting him yet (I will very soon, though. I just got to HR7 in Generations, and I have no intentions of stopping).
BTW, Dire Miralis isn't actually all that great. It's nothing more than a massive albeit incredibly slow Crimson Fatalis. The underwater sections and the fact that you have to target the weak points is pretty cool though (and it's currently one of only two fight in the series that has more than one Dragonator).

There is a singular Elder Dragon above all else in terms of power, this monster carved one continent into two single handedly.
During the war between the Wyverians and the Elder Dragons there was a Black Fatalis who would melt down the corpses of hunters and use them as armor. Doing this he lived longer than any other, gaining power and becoming the closest thing to a god.

Well.... In some way I consider Oroshi even worse because I´m playing SnS, a quite fast weapon that doesn´t hit too hard and so I heavily dislike to bounce off all the time because it breaks my combos.... Given that I even manage to hit this thing...
I don't say Oroshi is a nice monster, I still don't like him very much.
But I don't know I find his ice attacks more easy to dodge and that they do less damages than the thunder attacks.
I use insectoglaive, so I try to get a ride as often as I can to hit him while he's on the ground. Also I can use my kinsect to do some bonus damages if I can't really touch him because of his "bouncing" body.
But I do understand your pain in a way.
I can't believe that I did not mention that. I completely forgot about that. Also I think that I hate Oroshi Kirin even more than I hate the Kirin, which is saying something. Just curious, why do you like the Oroshi Kirin?
A bit of it is write in my previous comment.
But first I'd say the design (it's a big detail I know, but I think he"s great looking)
And I killed the Oroshi way more easily than the "normal" Kirin. I think ice attacks are way more easy to take care of than the thunder attacks. But It's just my opinion, I understand that some people are struggling with these ice things coming from everywhere.
Also killing these unicorn with a weapon like the hammer or the GS is way more harder (I think) than killing them with a "fast combo weapon". And since I use the Insectoglaive and the god Kinsect (kinsect does some bonus damage so it's cool) I don't struggle too much.
In short, I like the design and I think the ice is way less dangerous than the thunder. There is also the weapons (let's not talk about the armor) that I find great !
I'm not gonna say he's a monster that I love. But compare to his "white thunder friend" I appreciate him.

In MH4U I found it disappointing that the Fatalis brethren just do a lot of damage with their fireballs.
The real Fatalis does not do a 'lot of damage' with it's fireballs, back in MH1-MHFU... It instakills you. xD

Dude, no joke. The last boss Shagaru Magala was the most disappointing village boss I fought in the ENTIRE series! Bosses in the previous MH games were actually hard and did a lot of damage, and were basically a test of everything that you learnt and putting your skill to use.
But Shagaru Magala was honesty disappointing in so many levels... I fucking killed it in 10 MINUTES with an UNUPGRADED Gore Magala insect glaive and minimum preparation! The fuck is this? xD Is this still Monster Hunter?

Actually, no it was not bullshit.
The whole journey in MH1/MHF2/MHFU, etc, was a hard one that required you become skilled and develop the proper mindset of a hunter.
If by that point you still are reckless enough to get hit by a fireball, I think the game has every right to punish you for that.
Besides, fireballs are the easiest thing to dodge. lol
I do think that you should have mentioned the fact that you can break off the dragonator on Gogmazios’s back and use it against him but other than that, great list my man!

Gogmazios is actually the literal pronunciation of Gogumajiosu, spelt in a way that english speakers would say correctly. Dalamadur (Dara Amadyura) is the same, but a lot of people tend to say "Dala Madurr" instead of Dal-Amadyur. It is pretty badass how the names are consistent for many newer Elder Dragons.
New to the channel and dude sorry you can never mount them monsters cause you use a hammer but at least your a heavy hitter for the team that is just as important as being the monster mounter on the team. 👍🏻 And dude Dalamadur is just like whoa that thing is gigantic...and there is a hidden easter egg in monster hunter world where if you go to the rotten vale and jump down from the camp you can see its head and body parts as you walk through the vale. Hey, I got a question about the Hammer Techniques in MHG. How do you make that upswing at the end of the XX Combo at 2:29? I know that you were able to do this by pressing X three times in the previous games, but in MHG it's not this way.
It depends on what style you are using. I usually just press X three times and it will work, but if that does not work, then you can push X X and then A+X. Or you can push A+X three times. Try doing one of those two methods and see if it works for you.
Alright, I tried other styles and it's true. I was using the striker-style all the time because I thought that's best with hammer, but I really missed this last upswing because it had so much power. It works normally with three times X if I'm going with guild style... so thank you very much, mate. Keep up the good Vids!

Agreed. The first time left me awestruck, but the subsequent hunts became a chore. It really loses it's magnitude when you're stuck helping a bunch of randoms break HR.

Well to be fair. I play monster hunter and it's not like it has own show about them catching these monsters and throwing them out to fight where they say their own name with everything they do. I mean my brain feels like it's about to burst just trying to figure out it's name. I like how he pronounces it with pride. Through if you have a place where they correctly say their names please tell cause I feel like some sort of devil came up with these names.

Seirra Moon How is Chameleos cheap exactly? It's Poison isn't as potent as P. Gypceros (Who also can steal items), Nerscylla, or Yian Garuga. It doesn't hit hard... Like at all (Seriously Chameleos needs to hit the gym), and it's invisibility is easy to deal with.
