Spoonerisms are the mainstay of "Lirty Dies" sketches that "The Capital Steps" comedy team (tagline We put the Mock in Democracy) . They do live radio shows every July 4th in an SNL fashion, and Faking a Toto is one I enjoyed from their bits. Print versions are here www.capsteps.com/lirty/ and many are also recorded on You Tube. I'm not too into Spoonerisms. I suppose everybody has heard "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy."
At one time, I was quite fond of 'Tom Swifties'. For example, "Turn on the lights!", Tom said brightly. Or "Pass me a Kleenex!", Tom said snottily. You can do doubles with Tom Swifties, as well. Once, I hit a triple, but I can't remember it.
