thank you everyone for all the support on the last video ❤️ I haven't gotten a chance to respond to everyone's messages yet but I've been reading all of them & have been feeling so grateful for everyone in this community 🥺 as of last week, I've been back at work and have been a bit busy readjusting to work life again (however, doing much better than before I took my break and have found a lot more peace in life) here's a vlog documenting my first week back & all the small changes that have been going on 🫶 I hope everyone's having a great week so far ~

it’s so interesting seeing someone go through ivf and document the process! I’m an IVF baby and it’s so cool to see what my parents had to go through for me to be born. I’m sure your videos are really informative for people who are considering ivf too

It is common to be codependent with your partner, especially in a long term relationship and living together. You have spent the most time together so whenever your partner leaves, it feels foreign and something is missing. And vice versa.
It is difficult for the first few days but it gets better. ❤

I think I missed the video when you explained why you are doing an egg retrieval? If you don't feel like sharing that's also fine!

I feel what you're saying about being alone at home for the first time in a long time. My partner and I usually do everything together, apart from some hobbies, and he spent some time away on multiple vacations this summer, while I stayed at home, and it was the first time we were apart in a while. I was nervous about it at first, but it actually turned out to be a pretty relaxing time. Neither of us are big texters, so apart from regular phone calls we didn't talk all that much (might also be because we're both neurodivergent and struggle with object permanence lol). This whole experience sort of reminded me that I am okay on my own, and while I definitely prefer it when he's home, I am also just fine by myself, and even enjoyed the experience.

i remember the hormones from ivf made me feel dreadful, so I'm not surprised you were feeling so nervous and weird.

i like how james is constantly with her, supporting her and saying "you're doing great" also he is trying to keep her happy as in being funny. its a healthy relationship and I love that and as a selfish person I want that too haha. anyway can i ask you how much time does it take for you to go to office?

Sometimes I cut up carrots into almost matchsticks (but not that small) and then roast with EVOO and sea salt. They taste like sweet potato fries!

Mental health is so important and it’s kinda weird because it’s both being more talked about and more people are practicing effective ways to improve and maintain their mental health, and it’s also still something that’s kinda stigmatized. The stigmatization of mental health especially in work culture is still pretty prominent because we are still told to just bury our head in the sand and to look at the bigger picture because of the pay off at the end. I reject this notion of thinking because why should I just have to disregard how and what I’m feeling about whatever I’m currently experiencing because the only thing that matters is my output in my line of profession? We as people are dynamic in nature and it’s unfair to also have to constantly put ourselves and our mental health to the wayside in order to continue being a smaller cog in the much larger machine. I’m glad you got to take a couple weeks for a mental health break because we often get lost in the dealings of other people and things, that we forget to take care of ourselves.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us! I was wondering if you would be open to blurring the area where you're injecting yourself? I saw the preview in your intro and got goosebumps because I had a terrible experience with the Dupixent self injection shots for my eczema. My first three shots were traumatizing. I decided on a whim that I would go on the medication after rejecting it months before because I'm scared of needles. However, I kept experiencing severe skin inflammation and was over it, so I went ahead with it and I had to get two initial pen shots in the stomach, one done by my nurse for demonstration and the other for when I have to do it myself biweekly. When she did it, it hurt so bad and when it was my turn, I freaked out beforehand and tried to calm myself by taking breaths and asking her to wait, but she said she had other patients and made me do it before I was ready and because I didn't press hard enough which made the medicine leak out, she pushed the pen into my stomach really hard and that traumatized me so much that for my third shot at home, I sat for hours crying before finally getting the courage to do it. When you talked about how unsettled you felt about injecting yourself in your stomach, I totally understood exactly what you meant. I have an emotional and physical reaction to when I think of it and see those types of things. It's insane, but we have to do what we have to do. :;-( I'm wishing you the best on your journey! I've heard about how hard the process is from my friend who Is trying to get pregnant via surrogate. So happy that you have James there to support you

I really don’t mean this in a mean way, and I really hope you don’t take it that way, but I feel like you doing IVF might be one of those moments you look back on as one of the craziest things you’ve done in a past relationship..
