But if the first all-new Honda Pilot since model-year 2009 is difficult to distinguish from the crowd just by looking, one drive will likely convince you it's a stand-out for road manners. Add to that a smartly designed interior, superior gas mileage, and the bright outlook for reliability and resale value attached to the Honda brand, and the 2016 midsize-crossover class may have its new benchmark. Nice review. I like Hondas, but wish they would force you into a more expensive model to get get certain options/technologies together. Toyota does this also. I would love to be to purchase an EX-L with Honda Sensing & Nav vs having to go to the Touring model.
Sounds like Honda has done their homework. Many in the industry thought the model revamping would appear as a 2015 model. They've done a nice job with the 2016.

I love honda's but a lot of other videos seemed to have a biased opinion. I wanted to know the negatives also. This video was unbiased and told me the things that I may not like as well.
Just started my search for a vehicle like this. I went to the local dealer and sat in one. I'm taller and like to sit higher in the drivers seat. Although visibility is pretty good overall, I noticed when sitting in the drivers seat, behind the rear view mirror there is a dark box built into the windshield. Unfortunately, this cuts down on visibility to a very important area of visibility when driving. Gotta do some more research on what that is used for but it would be nice if this dark box not there. Also, I do NOT like the push button shifter. I would just like a nice smooth, simple, crisp shifting traditional stick shifter (good that some trims offer this). Oh, one more complaint, I am NOT a fan of push button touch screens. I prefer big nice knobs. Oops.. One last complaint about all suvs, cars and minvans in general, Manufacturers are making them all too low to the ground with lower roof lines. They don't sit up high so you have good safe visibility. Even this Honda is an inch lower than the previous version. I do not like that. Other than those issues this SUV looks pretty good.

why do people have to always review the top trim levels? What if I want an EX model? Theres a lot of people out there who want a new car but without all the fancy crap

Hey Chuck! Can you please clear up something for me? Did I hear you say center counsel ??? All this time I have been referring to them as center consoles, because I thought they don't give any counseling, so I thought they were called consoles. But please correct me if I'm wrong.
Can the vehicle idle using just 3 cylinders?......I know that the vehicle can cut back if all 6 cylinders aren't needed!....... My wife has to sit in our car for nearly an hour at school, and she hates to keep the vehicle running unless absolutely necessary...... I haven't found anyone who can give me this answer....Again, can the vehicle idle with the air conditioner on, while just using 3 cylinders??? Thanks for the informative review!

ZF 9 speed transmission has problems!
I wish Honda would just go back to a standard traditional automatic console stick shifter. Also, I do NOT like the dashboard either. A Traditional (dial type) tachometer and speedometer would be so much better. Other than those items I do like this SUV.

I have read that are serious problems with the transmission.
