JH to PEAK CAVERN -Through Trip-

The JH to Peak Cavern system on Castleton Derbyshire it’s 180 m deep, split into four pitches they are long and tight for some of their length .
JH enters the Peak system on the top of the Boulder Piles, consequently allows relatively easy access to the Far Sump Extensions and the upstream section of Speedwell.
Both Peak and Speedwell Caverns have their entrance series as Show Caves and as a consequence have a separate access systems in operation.

I've been an armchair caver for years, so it's great to see on film so many of the places I've read about. Some of those stacked deads look a bit gnarly though!

I can't remember which i did, was 16 and on a YTS and they took us pot holing, really enjoyed it, except a lad who nearly got stuck.

Excellent video! Really need to make this trip. Last two times I've intended on it its been sumped at the connection with Titan or too wet at the bottom of JH. Looks a lot simpler than I expected!

In Grinlow Quarry (Buxton) there's a small locked door at the foot of the cliff. I found it as a kid. Not being able to get in, the next best thing a 14yo could do was throw some stones through the gap in the door. There seems to be a vertical shaft with water at the bottom.
How big is this cave? Just a dead end - or something more extensive?

I know it's incredibly unlikely, but what do you do in a situation where someone has disconnected your SRT rope and dropped it down the hole? Would it be a case of having to exit via a different route (Assuming that it was a system where that option is available), or just waiting until you were reported overdue, and waiting for someone to rescue you?

That looks epic, how long where you under and do you just pull the ropes through in JH? how long a rope did you need for Leviathon?
