Spoken Word: To the Youth

"Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." (2 Timothy 2:22 NIV)
A lot of people my age were passing away in my hometown in MD and God really put it on my heart to speak on that.
It was very troubling to see the kind of lives they lived, not knowing God, and passing away, yet everyone would say things like "Heaven gained another angel" "We know you're in a better place" "Rest in peace" etc.
The harsh harsh harsh reality of that is this: not everyone will make it into the kingdom of heaven. To live a life of deception on this earth thinking you can sin and rebel against God, yet still dwell with Him for eternity in heaven is not the truth.
But there's hope!! Christ came to give life and life more abundantly. We need to open our hearts to him and receive that gift of life before it's too late.
