Hi Aaron, thanks for this video, it took me 2 hours to change both front and rear cameras after watching this, I took my time 👍. It was easier than I thought. The Ford dealership in my area just changed ownership, I haven't heard how the new service is so I just did it myself. They are now crystal clear, screen was just gray before changing them. Now on to the side cameras, they are not as cloudy as the front and rear, but you can tell the difference now that the others are changed. 2017 F350-DRW King Ranch in NY.
Love these vids. Respect your work and respect your respect for clients cars. I HATE IT WHEN TECHS LOSE BOLTS AND DONT INSTALL THINGS BACK PROPERLY. Sometimes better to do it yourself

I had all five of my replaced under warranty on my 17 450 Platinum six months ago. All five of my cameras looked like the tail gate camera at the end of your video. The dealership left open the camera recalls open, so if it goes bad again then it could be replaced under the pending recalls. I love the new camera's. They are so clear.
Another fine fix. 👍👍the grille is easy to remove

Thanks for this video. Very educational. Got my tailgate camera done under warranty but dealer told me the others were not included. I will use you info to have another discussion. My front and sides are unusable. 2919 F350drw King Ranch.
Glad my 350 xl don't have all those bells and whistles. I took out the original Ford radio and replaced it with a 4 inch color am/fm/cd/dvd/xm/ and all that other junk. Had 2 cameras put in. One by the 3rd eye and the other by the license plate. Love it. 4 yrs and still going strong. Sorry i had to brag for a sec. 😂😅

this is the last recall on my 19 i just bought... that rear camera is useable but barely. i need to get this scheduled.
Are the cameras upgraded from original, or will they just go bad again?
Just had the cameras done 2 weeks ago. I kept getting letters saying no solution so I went to the dealer. Luckily I did because my truck just turned over 150k and they said they extended the time to get the warranty work done. They replaced all but the 5th wheel and the fifth wheel is blurry but tolerable.
What is the recall number? My front went out completely and my back one is too cloudy to see anything on my 2019. I asked my dealership and they told me that they have to install because of programming. Looking at your video I believe that I was lied to. Thanks for your wonderful videos.
Would these cameras work on my 18 f150 360 system? They look like it would be a clarity upgrade for them.
Ever time up go on an upward climb like my drive way my 17 f250 make a loud bang coming from the rear is that common?
I had the recall done on my F250 SD and they completely replaced the side mirrors, however, I have a magma red truck and the mirrors they put on are black as well as the cover on the cameras is now black so the color no longer matches the rest of the truck. Any idea why they would do that?
just watched a short where you are replacing the bendix switch on the brake system, remove the switch, make sure your hands are dry, palm out, tap the switch tube side to palm and check for water in it, if so use brake clean and very light air to blow the switch out,
Jim Hudson Ford in Lexington, SC was like what camera recall when I told them I wanted to schedule to get my 19 fixed... So I showed the Service Writer this video and he was like uhhhhh yeahhh I will have to call Ford...
The tail gate camera, the top trim piece goes into the trim that holds the camera. Does that trim piece snap into something to hold in place? I think ford forgot something, my top trim is loose and I see the tabs go into slots that don't grab anything

Wait, I thought only the rear camera was on the recall, are the 360 ones also included now? If so Ford owes me $100 for the deductible on my 2019.
Is it possible to add the surround cameras on a 22 lariat is ya only have the backup camera?
I mean, I’m sure it’s possible, but the cost and labor to do such a thing is gonna be way too much to do
My 2020 F250 5th wheel camera went lights out black. It got changed under warranty.
Can the fifth wheel camera be add to my 19. I have the tail gate camera and trunk has fifth wheel prep with plug and mount but no camera.

I do not remember my cameras (I only have two, up top and on the tailgate) being whited out like that, but every dang time it rains the tailgate camera is utterly useless. A single drop of water forms on it, rendering it useless. I get out, wipe it, and before I get back in another drop is on it. THAT needs fixing. Something to keep water from running over the lens.
I just picked up my '23 F350 on Friday, and I'm not sure if it is just me or what, but the cameras seem a lot more clear than my '22 F350.

I just had the front and rear cameras replaced and now my backup parking aids/pre-collision detection isn't working. I asked them if they have to recalibrate or reset software and they said nope. It's going back to repair. The front camera also sticks out now and displays my chrome grill. What shop do you work at?

9/12/23 Update, my dealer finally replaced my cameras. I have 5 in total but they only replaced 4 and they said the bed camera in the third brake light was not included in the recall. @PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod can you confirm the bed camera was not included?? Thanks man!

I have a ‘22 tremor and the camera quality is terrible compared to other automotive companies out there. I don’t have the blurriness but just seems cheap.
They are cheap. I have a 2023 F450 and ordered the trailer camera for backup assist, does not come with backup assist BTW! Anyhow, the camera was built in 2017 and is probably a 720P camera at best. What a joke.
PTT my dealer replaced my cameras on my 2020 350 but now the top tailgate trip doesn't sit flush???? There's a hump left of the camera about 2-3 inches. Did they forget on of those white clips?

My tailgate camera stopped working, ford cameras were on back order with no date for resupply. I replaced the harness and camera with a Chinese ones, still doesn't work. Any ideas?

I keep getting told by multiple dealerships that they don’t have these parts for the recall. What would motivate them to say that?
Because it’s expensive and takes time to get everything programmed.

Depends on the tech. If all of them are bad then they all get replaced.
so riddle me this... why is my 2017 F250 (WITHOUT 360 camera option) not included with this camera recall??.... pretty sure I have the same backup camera on my tailgate...any Ideas? My dealer is Horrible all they will do is run VIN and say >nope sorry>

Soooo..... call Corp Ford and start another case on my truck? And find out why my VIN is not included?? Or dig into tailgate and get partnumber off camera, then put it back together, to prove I have bad camera... I have premium care $100 deductible, but that sux if free.....

I’ve had so much trouble with my dealer even with the buffer recall I just end up doing it my self I’m gonna just buy the cameras I clipped my work truck the other night that 360 view would be nice

Wish I could just get the cameras from ford and put them in myself. Don't like my chances that someone is going to go to this level on working with plastics.
