Antilla Wreck Dive in the Dutch Caribbean Sea - Aruba Shipwreck Scuba Diving

In this video I'm diving a shipwreck off the southern coast of Aruba. This medical supply ship was sunken by it's German captain during World War II. The story goes that the crew was in need of fuel and stopped at the island for this purpose. The Dutch refused to let the crew re-fuel, and gave the captain two options: leave, or surrender the ship. The captain decided he was going to create a third option for himself and sunk the ship by overheating the engines and flooding the room with cold ocean water, this resulted in a massive explosion in the engine room. The ship was sunk in about 55 feet of water and is easily accessible by boat or a determined shore dive. #scubalife #scubadiving #scuba #diving #caribbean
