I definetly think they make this gauntlet match longer and bigger. Fix the entrant times to a set time. Storyboard it more. Could easily see it going 45 mins as part of a tv special
Little shocked that AEW is booking Swerve Strickland vs. Will Ospreay for the AEW World Heavyweight Title at Forbidden Door. I was expecting them to save it for All In at Wembley Stadium. Maybe AEW wants to have a Will Ospreay AEW World Heavyweight Title Defence as the Main Event of All In.
I think its been a pretty strong few months for the women's division. Obviously they still have a ways to go, but I like the focus and direction it's been going. The gauntlet match was incredible! AEW really has a something special on their hands with this match type. It perfectly highlights their diverse style and is unpredictable, yet also logical
You could still put Ospreay in the Owen as you have 3 shows between FD and the finals. Dynamite and Rampage - Run the 8 matches for the men and women. 5 on Dynamite, 3 on Rampage. Collision that Saturday are the semi finals. 2 mens matches, 2 womens. Dynamite in Calgary is the finals. You also could do a scenario where the semis and finals are on the same show like a classic KOTR PPV.
Was there a video package for tama tonga and tanga loa? Where were those ppl to complain? Was there a video package for Ethan Page? Was there a video package for Jordyne Grace?
i dont understand question with trent, it was obvious set up by don and trent, orange won both by roll ups so im still interested, but orange and trent are two of my favs
TK has been hyping up Trent for his entire AEW run, wasting from 31-37 in AEW doing nothing now he finally gets this big heel turn character mixup and he loses twice to the joke guy, whats the point of any of it
That main event was sure something. They need to make it a monthly staple after every PPV. Pick 1 of the 17 titles that has no story or planned monthly challenger & put the contendership up for grabs. Or even just have a generic call your shot to the winner & have a story ready for why they chose a lesser title instead of the World Title. Can even do one with the women when the situation calls for it - not just b/c everything has to be 50/50. Great concept with endless possibilities. Plus you don't have to sit there wondering why Samoa Joe or MJF weren't involved - they may have been #13 & #17 respectively with the 21 entrants waiting to come out. AEW should probably invest a little more into segments that needs props. I don't think the Jericho set was purposely made to look bad as tongue in cheek. AEW has a history of this. Even in that opening segment - they clearly sent someone to a local dollar store to buy a bunch of balloons. They did this same thing with an MJF celebration once. It's very opposite of WWE where when WWE announces a celebration deal - they put little thought into substance & everything into presentation. I figured Rush was being built for Mark Briscoe... perhaps he still is since that's a July 26th PPV which means the lineup will be booked on July 15th-ish. He & MJF should be a good time. Someone here definitely said Swerve & Ospreay wasn't happening at Wembley. I think that same someone is telling you Ethan Page's deal absolutely did not expire. Cute story tho, I can see why he'd want that out there. TNA becoming a feeder system to WWE would not only increase their popularity ten-fold but also makes all the sense in the world. I know some of you keep hoping - for the 22nd straight year now - that TNA has a place in this wrestling ecosystem. They do. This is it. There's no room for a 3rd major company, they'll never be one. The parent company knows that which is why they told Scott to piss off when his ideas all involved spending lots of monies the company will never make back. It's a small pond for people who see themselves as big fish or a stop-over for reclamation projects & wrestlers who just haven't had their name pop up on the WWE/AEW roll call yet. It'll be a great place for the NXT folks to get some work since there's no money in ever taking that brand on tour & all TNA really provides are 2 shows a month to film TV content. Match made in heaven. Until the weirdos get mad the NXT people are beating the TNA people every time which is when someone will have to politely explain that's always how WWE has worked. Have fun NOAH!
