It is 5:40 in the morning. Been dealing with my head all week. Saw this video on my feed and was expecting a light hearted comic of finding self worth or something. My chest, throat and stomach hurt from laughter. Comedy at its finest!
I suppose it's fitting that it wasn't something helpful. It's not exactly common for a simple rhetoric to suddenly make it easier to face things. So maybe it's better for it to remind us of our ability to laugh at the pain, than for it to waste effort on an attempt at being a clean solution.
I am going through some serious stuff right now, I want you to know that despite how tough everything is this video has helped me to smile and laugh. Thank you

Real depression is when you don't have the energy to make anything like this. If you say you are being depressed and yet find it in you to spend time and effort on a silly video about depression then, well, your case must be pretty goddamn mild. Real depression is when you don't feel like cleaning your flat for three weeks in a row and bathing is a daily struggle. Of course, I may be wrongly assuming that the author has depression, you don't need to be depressed to make a silly video that is sort of about depression. If that is the case then apologies.
You talking about depression like it is instantly giving up on life is very disrespectful and belittling. It's not like people with chronic depression are struggling with it for years with different coping mechanisms to the thet point joking about depression is commonly occuring indicator nowadays or something. By your definition someone pushing throught for months and years and suddenly ending it all one day was never depressed, because they were still going to work, social events etc. Think a little before you type crap like this next time. Everyone experiences and deals with pain differently. It is not something you can measure.
