Ren describes his friendship with Callum with music. The beginning, the middle and the end of their friendship, the fun, the crazy parts, the anger of loss and the sadness that hits him everyday and the love and respect. All in a beautiful composition.
What you put out to the universe comes right back. Ren is putting out love and it just keeps multiplying through the reactors and anybody coming across his music. It’s really beautiful to watch the vibration he’s creating and watching it affect so many people in the most beautiful way. Thank you so much for your lovely reaction. ❤
This was beautiful, he was in his chat talking to a bunch of us 30 minutes before this premiered, he's good to his fans. I second For Joe, but it's soul crushing. The Money Game Trilogy is a masterpiece, and tells a story about the world's greed and the importance of money to the rich. I think Part 3 is my favorite Ren video, the production from start to finish is brilliant, and one take and live as usual. I know you have a long list ahead of you, looking forward to more.
SInce you like this, I'd recommend "for Joe" Another tribute... this time to his all time best friend that left this world. It is another piano piece, although I must warn you... very intense... but one of my favorites.
So his friend here died at the exact same age. My best friend died in my arms, 10 years later.. I’m sure I’ll be crying in 30 seconds into this song. I know it’s gonna be tough, but I know Ren‘s gonna do it justice and I believe it’s his birthday today so happy birthday and his friend that he’s paying tribute to here has his birthday on the day he released the song which is either yesterday or the day before so rest in peace respect. I tried piano for three weeks and I quit because I didn’t have the patience and it was too hard when his self taught from TH-cam, which is mind blown but when you have the kind of town he has I guess you can do anything if you put in the work This is Canada Alberta, but the main cord he drops down like a half an octave I believe the second time he plays it, which makes it sound a little bit choppy, which I guess represents loss or emptiness. I think it’s a minor, and they say a and D minor are the best courts to get emotion out of people. And then at the very end, the last few notes, kind of signify completeness, where they go theory, kind of based on my knowledge of music and blending with my opinion. Either way, it’s a beautiful tribute to his friend passed away six months after Joe committed suicide, I lost my best friend at the same exact age change my life forever. I could imagine losing closest friend sick months later, while dealing with disease and everything else this man’s been through. is that much to say aside from his a superhuman and anyone that ever has a friend like him until yourself very lucky and I’ll tell them. I love them every day. Happy birthday thank you for sharing your beautiful music with us and all the emotion you put into it. You need to read the description, and then the picture of his friend date of birth, and they died at the very very end of the clip.
location of Mackay Drumheller is a town on the Red Deer River in the badlands of east-central Alberta, Canada. It is located 110 kilometres (68 mi) northeast of Calgary and 97 kilometres (60 mi) south of Stettler.
Not my thing right now. I DO recognize the talent that went in to this. Well done, well written and well executed. Awesome piece and kudos all around. Shame only comes in refusing to recognize greatness when it comes in a form you do not currently appreciate. This is wonderful. A year ago? Years from now? I am not in a place to take it all in right now.
It's OK not to like a particular song or even genre of music. I noticed the part where you said you're "not in the right place to take it in right now", which made me think you're having some personal problems? Just wanted to say, if so, I hope the situation improves for you sooner than later and don't keep things to your self, talk to people. You're not alone.
I'd love a whole album like this, something left field, just piano sonatas and original compositions. Bet he'd be brilliant at it too. And no record company to say no 😂
For Ren's keyboard based performances probably For Joe is his best piece? Beautiful but a bit hard hitting. (Although really it's parts of at least 2 other earlier songs).
I still imagine it's a story, good times and bad times, no words needed... Am I wrong? For example, Apocalyptica- Farewell, no words are needed and we know what the poet wants to say. I think it's similar with Ren. Emotions in music are another dimension, and once you can feel music through emotions, no song on the radio has a chance, that's just business.
It's not always about what happens during a video, sometimes it's about what happens at the end, there has to be a ending...you missed the ending ? next time you'll think a sweet lad from wales reminded you to keep it going till the end
I agree, it’s almost like you can hear a youth choir in the background chanting something like “We are all in awe of all we are” when he hits that repeated lick of high notes over those running lower notes.

So very emotional. full of sadness and beauty together. A really, quite remarkable performance of love.

This is such a beautiful piece. The talent that this you man possesses is awesome.
Truly incredible 🥰

This one is so beautiful. It had me in tears in the first 30 seconds.
I really like your take on the role of the camera in REN’s songs.💕👍🦇
Ren celebrating the story of Callum Mackay is beautiful

Great reaction as always. You also need to read the comment Ren wrote under the name RenMakesMusic.

This makes my brain to roll all the childhood memories in my head..
Thank you ❤
I think because you didn't let it play out to the end frame, you didn't notice the written memoriam?
Brilliant reaction 😊
since the reverb ebbs and flows I expect it was added post. Totally live though, no quantise and no cleaning up the small imperfections. that's class.

Yeh. Love you too Ginx.

💯 a story with no need for words because the music and the way Ren presents it makes it crystal clear🥰🙌
It reminds me of the them from Downton Abbey.
This is simply amazing. Please listen to ‘For Joe’ if you haven’t already, honestly it’ll blow your mind
I Tear up everytime I hear this .. i dont know why
Watch disco doc for a full background on callum.
Great reaction, as always but... always play a video to the end. You missed the dedication to Callum (Mackay) at the end.
