Rt. Rev. Sanctus Wanok Lino
The Rt. Rev. Sanctus Lino Wanok was born on the 7 th April 1957, at Ukuru Pamach village in Zombo district, West Nile region in Warr Parish, Nebbi diocese. He was ordained deacon on 31 st Ausgust 1986 at Idiofe Parish, and ordained priest on 27/09/1986 at Warr Parish by Bishop Fred Drandua.
From 2005 to the time of his election, he was the Vicar General of Nebbi Catholic Diocese.
On 08/02/2011 His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI elected him as the third Bishop of Nebbi Catholic diocese. On 23 rd November 2018, Pope Francis appointed him as Bishop of the diocese of Lira and was installed on the 9 th February 2019 at Lira succedding Bishop Guiseppe Franzelli as the fourth Bishop of Lira.
During the Bishops' November Plenary of 2022, Rt. rev. Sanctus LIno Wanok was elected Vice Chairman of UEC till 2026.
