Sanjeev Abhyankar is a well-known artist of Mewati Gharana. Ustad Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar is an internationally renowned artist in the field of Hindustani classical and devotional music and is also a very popular artist. He is also considered a great example for the young generation. With his magical singing he has attracted the young generation towards Indian classical music.
In a career spanning over 30 years, he has epitomized dedication, hard work, patience and perseverance. He won the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 1999 for his song "Suno Re Bhaila" in the Hindi film Godmother and received the Kumar Gandharva National Award in 2008 from the Government of Madhya Pradesh for sustained excellence in the field.
He was born in a musical family. The first glimpse of his talent was seen at the age of 3 when he could sing songs that his grandmother used to sing for him. His parents decided to further develop his talent.
