Yeah, I recognized the vibe from the NES mario castles. Your micro pick-a-path section was a good way to offer a very short gambling game, but without the frustration of a long time commitment or a death you had no control over. Thought that was great.

Plot Twist: Yoshi has infinite lives and all the eggs are just him respawning. He remembers every betrayal and is just biding his time.

@@chiju I guess what he was trying to do was a fun obstacle run of sorts. I dunno, it just didn't pull the right way for me. Too many irretrievable situations quickly turn it into another one of those frustrating gauntlets. I guess it's got challenge going for it.

The german guys first level was a good pick-a-path level. Amazing!
Real SMB castle vibes, except that there was too much spam.
There is nothing wrong with pick-a-path if and when its done right, like it was in that level.
Lets talk about the pixel artwork. Those was beautiful.

First level speed strat:
Step1: Hit leftmost block on the bottom row.
Step 2: Jump at an angle to skip the block on the immigrate above left and land on step 1.
Step 3: Realise I don’t play SMM but I comment anyway.

I am surprised, too, especially after JaidenAnimations featured him so much in her recent episode about Kaizo Mario. Figured he would have hit at least 1mil by now!
Guy makes a great level first time out but then destroys it with pick a path. Only thing saving it from a boo from me is that picking wrong doesn't automatically kill you.

The levels are getting really creative and interesting. The game provides lots of mechanics, idk why most kaizo and speedrun levels use the same stuff. I haven't seen the mask on any of them, or lava rising. Also any well done pick a pipe /door / path on none.
Hey ryu I just came up with an interesting idea. At the end of the year, you should do a video of giving out awards to levels you have played in super Mario maker throughout 2021. For example, you can have an award for the level that was the hottest of garbage and another award for the level that showed the most creativity. I would love to see your opinions so everyone watching the videos can play these levels. You could even have the community vote on the levels for the categories you choose in the Reddit page/discord too.

I believe that the Yoshi's you drop down don't actually die they just hang out at the bottom floor. So there's like a million Yoshi's having a good time down there.

I liked the Cursed Galleon and the ‘level premiere’ aside from a few small nitpicks… both are definitely hard levels I wouldn’t mind giving a try, unlike the many ‘hot garbage’ levels Ryu has to put up with…
