Agreed, but the lyrics on the first two records are complete garbage… I’ve never owned Pull or anything after, but compared to their musicianship, their biggest career mistake was not taking their lyrics or image seriously enough or realizing the negative impact their videos might have on their career.

Exactly, CF Kip Winger has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Contemporary Classical Composition for his debut Classical Release "Conversations With Nijinsky" - C. F. Kip Winger, composer (Martin West & San Francisco Ballet Orchestra).
Back in the day I couldn’t get enough of Kip Winger that man could make me cream my jeans just watching him 😉. Well today in 2024 he still has that same affect on me but now we have a touch of gray threw our hair but he still has that smile and voice 😘
I love Winger, I've never seen this before. That was incredible and awesome at the same time. These guys have always been great musicians and beyond underrated. So much of the 80's and early 90's was miss marketed. That just showed how the masses always have and always will be completely ignorant. Listen to the musicianship and stop watching the videos.
To ALL the haters…let’s see another rock band from the genre do this and sound this good.. a damn shame they were not more popular cause they were the best musicians in the game in the era. Period.
Their drummer was in the Dregs. That speaks more than volumes as to the talents of Winger. Can't even be contested. If they can roll with Rod Morgenstein, that says everything.
Strange how out of all the 'glam' metal bands of the 80s, Winger ended up being the band most people joked about and they are nothing like those bands. Their compositional and technical skills are way beyond that stuff. Thanks Stuart. 😤
Well it's kind of their own fault for releasing a creepy song like "17" and allowing themselves to be put out as hair metal pretty boys and then changing to this look after grunge exploded.
The music these two men create is amazing and it is not just music, their lyrics are poetic. They just happen to be two extremely good-looking guys who are masters of their craft.

Pull is still on my top 5 all time list, seriously. I literally just remastered a couple tracks recently using Junkyard Dog as my main reference mix due to style. Incredibly hard to write song after song with dense composition and musicianship that is still enjoyable by non-musical people who just want pleasant commercial sound and don't even recognize all that is happening. ...and my drum kit is still the Premier Genista in Terraverde Green with the different sized kicks because Rod Morgenstein's drum clinic was incredible.
Thanks for putting this up. I’m UK but used to be an avid watcher of MM when I was with family in Canada - great to see this for sure. Always were, and still are phenomenal musicians. As much as I did like Beavis and Butthead, that programme did have a lot to answer for with Stuart and his t-shirt
