This B&M hyper seems to actually use its speed more than the others. Like the others just use their momentum to traverse the big camelbacks but this ride seems to wanna maintain it’s speed (minus the trim lol) by staying lower to the ground, definitely helps that it’s already smaller than the others but dang this looks like a really good one honestly
Oh I can't wait for Golden Horse to make a knock off of this

Yay China has a B&M hyper :) It doesn't look like it has a ton of airtime, but it looks solid for what B&M had to work with ~
Some decent floater for its size, but not airtime on every hill, and it’s nowhere near something like Behemoth or Diamondback
This ride is so much fun. Happy Valley Beijing is one of the best parks I have ever been to. If you ever make it to Beijing, the $25 all-day park ticket is definitely worth it!

China seems to be the roller coaster capital of the East.
@@bradyryan5105 Nah, Japan is the rollercoaster capital of the East. They have Flying Dinosaur, Hakugai, Eejanaika, and Takabisha. And Japan's much smaller than China, meaning the coasters are much closer together.

It still looks fun and I LOVE "mini" versions of bigger rides like this, Hollywood Dream, Daemonen etc., but is this as lacking in airtime as it seems? Or is there some nice if someone odd lateral-ish air on those initial banked hills?

Yes. Completed since 2017. The Wing Coaster next to it was completed in 2015. I looked on Google Earth and the last bit of construction was in april 2018. Its not looking good ...

The coordinates of the park are 41.886761,123.732956. And if you use google earth pro (The windows app) you can look through all the satellite images they have of a place. And the last time something changed was in april 2018.

Whoever listed this as a Hyper Coaster needs to go watch a Roller Coaster documentary and learn a little something. A Hyper Coaster is supposed to be over 200ft tall. This one is only 164ft tall. This is just a Hyper Coaster wannabe.

B&M says this coaster is a hyper. They consider any of their rides that don’t have inversions and are not dive coasters “hyper coasters”.
Don’t you understand that this is the name of a model. Like Intamin mega coasters that are actually hyper (Hyperion).

Because it is a B&M hyper coaster not a looping or Inverting coaster. This style of coaster is designed to give you floating / zero gravity airtime , it doesn't focus on inversions. Same ride model is popular all over the world

It's very likely a translation of a name in Mandarin Chinese; it probably sounds better in the original language.
Translating the name 喜马拉雅雄鹰音乐过山车 will give you Himalayan Eagle Music Roller Coaster as well :D
@@OrigamiPhoenix Well, because the roller coaster is located in the theme area of Shangri-La in Happy Valley of Beijing, and Shangri-La is located in the southwest of China, adjacent to the Himalayas, which is the world's highest peak, they want to create a scene of eagles flying on the first peak, so they set the name. However, as a Chinese roller coaster enthusiast, we still feel awkward and verbose when we hear the name. Even in Chinese, it's not good.
The names are much better than the ones here in the USA.
China: Dizzy Lover and Whirling Passion
America: Goliath
China: Python in Bamboo Forest
America: Goliath
