How on earth can a company be criticised for too many updates. Its better to fix something quickly than make people wait for ages.

    • @SiskoSvK
      @SiskoSvK 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I get your point, and I rather have constant updates than none at all. However, imagine if instead of TV you're dealing with a car that has to go to the garage every week for "updates".

You base your reasoning on the assumption that updates are necessary and what they claim to be.
Microsoft updates like garbage making my laptop slower and slower, while linux on the same machine is as fast as new. So what is Windows really doing? Spyware, malware and trojan in one. LG? I do not know.

Great videos . Appreciate your enthusiasm and knowledge. But one complaint the box. It’s what is in the box that’s important. II want a box that protects the tv and can then be recycled safely. No styrofoam or plastic. Most of all no advertising.

  • @M82RKY

I ran an extension lead in the wall and it pugs in behind the tv. No issue but I get it.
Had an update a few days back, not a massive problem, not noticed the frequency.
I run a Sonos Arc/Sub/One SL surround, a sound bar is a must with any modern TV really.
The remote is awesome but the shiny plastic is shite.
Do a screen refresh to prevent burn in, go outside and stop playing games, watching tv for hours. That isn’t a C3 issue, it’s an OLED issue.
A box isn’t going to put anyone off😂it’s a box, f**k the box!!!
Out of box settings are poor but who doesn’t want to adjust the settings.
Some valid points but nothing major to put anyone off buying one.

Hey Paul! Loved the video. Great as always. I have the 77-inch C3. I don't have it mounted, but I have vaulted ceilings and thought the audio was just fine. Granted, I can't hear it when I'm on the side of the TV 15 feet away (due to the configuration) but when I'm 10 feet away straight ahead (where my couch is) it sounds great! Of course sound bars will sound better, but it's not the worst-sounding TV in the world.

      Remember galaxy s7?
      Oled was new then.
After ive used it for 2 yrs ive used S7 for music and radio. The display was always on on max brightness.
It took around 6yrs of usage like that to get burn in.

Nice review, with minimal tech speak and easy to understand language. I've been seeing nothing but glowing reports for this tv so it's important for me to see the other side, for balance. The sound was my main concern in this review and though no deal breaker I agree the box should be more appealing at this price point. Thumbed up.

  • @jivebunny3765

I've got the 55". The sound quality is far more than I need. You have to calibrate it for the acoustics of your room using the graphic equalizer and AI settings. The bass is more than enough to make my walls shake. Chance of burn in from DOGs can lessened by using the AI to find the DOGs on screen and to lower the brightness of the pixels in the relevant areas of the screen. I agree that the remote is nasty. Thankfully my old LG plasma remote operates most of the C3's functions, and to be honest, has far better functionality with play/pause/stop/FF/Rewind functions for the media player which the C3 remote doesn't have. I find the screen pointer to be unresponsive when I've used it which isn't much as I primarily use the TV as a monitor for my Sky box. My only major gripe is the C3's lack of ability to make the woefully low bitate BBC HD channels look any better than they actually are, but then I'm reminded that a pig with lippy on is still a pig.
As I say, I agree with some of your points here, but much of the rest is finding fault where there really isn't any. I paid £919 for my C3. Best bargain of my life.

    • @scottish-atechreviews

I got the 65 and wasn’t happy with it at all blown out highlights washed out colours, in both HDR and SDR intact the colours in SDR are all over the place was too bright greens, reds, etc etc I had to return it for a Samsung which I thought I’d never do but this Samsung s90c blows my mind how good it actually is compare to LG, when I got the LG I was coming from a old Samsung 2018 model, wanted to get away from Samsung but never happened like that the lg was huge disappointment especially when paying £1600 for a crappy experience no thanks lg the c3 was a lemon. The great C series was let down with the C3
The C4 came back with revenge that’s the one to go for.

@@scottish-atechreviews Colour wise, I prefer them muted so I have a more natural palette. Bright colours give me a headache. My only initial gripe was the screen being dark, but after exploring all the settings, turning everything off, and starting from zero, I'm very happy with it. I found it took a good week to bed in. You have set me off on a rant again, so here are my bad points.
1 That fixed mains lead, it is just stupid and far too short.
2 The so called "Magic" remote, i just can't stand how it works,
i bought a full IR remote inplace of it, what a difference.
3 The pesky updates proves that 12 months after release there are still bugs to fix
and some updates create more issues, you can disable them permanently with a
service remote, but this may void the warranty.
4 Bad panels, the 43 and 48" use an older lower grade panel and suffer banding
and as i found out they can and do fail with one side darker than the other.
5 The new models are little better than the previous ones, LG claim to have upgraded
the smaller panels and improved brightness, i have yet to confirm this
My verdict, make sure yo can live with these issues or you may wish you had never bought one.
I am saving up for a Sony Mini-Led, LG have let me down and once that happens i never buy
    that brand again. Rant over!

Actually Samsung has best game mode now. C3 already isn't as bright and lags in color volume compared to QD-OLED, but then LG dims and reduces color saturation even further in game mode. Samsung S90C/S90D are definitely the best for gaming. 4 2.1 ports, 144hz for PC, and full brightness and color saturation. Also wide range of customization within game mode for if you want things to look accurate basically like filmmaker mode for games or if you want games to look punchier.
