There are no caravans allowed on Shell Island campsite as it only has a tent camping licence. Technically your van/motorhome is your method of transport and you are supposed to sleep in a tent but the rule is not enforced.

@@colincr64 hi Colin , the main access road is tidal, but on the old airbase side it’s not, not something that’s well known though I’m playing on going over there next, been hearing bad things about it recently, lots of groups of young lads and noise, how did you find it?
@@graham1155 I obviously went with a load of VW people it was a fantastic weekend facilities are very good toilets very clean but I must admit when I have spoke to people they have said they have gone in the summer holiday when it’s really busy and The toilets and facilities are up to scratch 2 million people not enough staff but this is only one I’ve been told it was my first visit I am planning on coming back myself beautiful beach
