Kudos to France. The team obviously fed off their crowd's energy. Those three players on France ( whom I've never heard of) played their best game of their lives. Having said that, Canada's coach didn't make any adjustments in the 1st half. Our team looked confused except for SGA, our only Super Star. We didn't move the ball, went cold on shooting, had several unforced turnovers, was out rebounded, committed too many fouls, and couldn't fully execute our come back in the 4th quarter. Pre Olympics Rowan Barrett was acting all snug with a touch of arrogance when talking about putting the 2024 Paris team together - really smelling himself. Rowan Barrett held personal grudges over sending the best roster to Paris. Rowan Barrett lacks the killer instinct needed to lead the program acting like this is a participation league instead of the Olympics when you take your best 12 players available to play. Then when the training camp list was made available he had all sorts of players that shouldn't have been in training camp like the Thomas Scrubb, Phil Scrubb, Trae Bell-Haynes and Kyle Alexander. Rowan Barrett should have assembled an all NBA roster for training camp and Paris even without Andrew Wiggins, O'shae Brissett, Benedict Mathurin, Shaedon Sharpe and Zach Edey. No reason for Melvin Ejim or Khem Birch to be on the final roster. Chris Boucher and Dalano Banton would have been much better overall. Cory Joseph could have been the veteran pg presence needed to steady the team in a game like the France one. Tristan Thompson could have gave the team some inside fortitude. Rowan Barrett didn't even try to naturalize a player even though center was the weak spot on the roster. Poeltl would have been a nice addition as a potential naturalized player. Could have even approach Barnes to become naturalize. Coming back medal less is a shame on Rowan Barrett who ran the program like a YMCA participation league. Bring back Steve Nash to run the program!!

Reason being the USA team in 28 will be weaker than this years one and Canadas team should be better Guys like Shai , Brooks , Dort Wiggins Murray will all be 30-32 which right in the middle of their prime , young talent like Sharpe Edey Mathurin will be 26ish years old

Yes, France played well, but the refs totally controlled the pace of the game and didn't allow Canada to gain any flow to the game. 25-7 free throw discrepancy is a joke. Especially when France's PF is posting up and give a hard 2 hand shove to one of the smaller Canadian guards...no foul, France get an easy bucket. Story of the game.

Lessort, Yabusele and Cordinier are major Euroleagues players, can’t wait to see Risachier Salaun Sarr Hifi and Traore with this team
They lack a true playmaker that can shift the opposing offense, and that's very necessary when you can't bully the defense with size like France did.
Not having Wiggins and Edey was a big loss.
