I consider the fact that Jane Krakowski did play an SVU villain confirmation that the two shows are canonically the same world, and hemorrhoid cream is excellent for under eye puffiness.
They literally pointed it out in another episode. Tracy has something like "Nuh uh, not after what he did to my aunt back in 88'!". They knew what Bill Cosby was. It was basically an open secret. I mean is it really a secret if I know it? Who tf am I? Nobody!
@@c3bhmDan Harmon actually cited 30 Rock as a gold standard for comedy writing while he was writing Community. They’re both brilliantly written but I think 30 Rock’s writing was a little more consistently joke-centric (whereas Community’s was always in service of the characters).
How was this show not as popular as Friends?! Between the comedic timing of the actors and the writing, it's the absolute funniest show I've ever seen.

I'm watching this show for the 3rd time in my life and I think Jenna might be my favorite character now. Jane Krakowski is an s-tier actor, she's got amazing chops, a gorgeous voice, and amazing comedic timing.
My favorite part of the "where's my mac and cheese" bit is we also saw the entire writing staff trying to lift that table and failing, she was that angry.
I’m glad we are still doing these crack videos. I feel like recently I’ve only seen regular compilations but I still remember the joys of watching OUAT crack videos at 3 am cackling to myself.
Watch the show. I personally think the first season is a little slow to start but it’s worth watching the rest of the series and if you cut the show for all its jokes and made a video like this of the entire series, it wouldn’t be much shorter than its entire runtime. Many hilarious characters and several of my most favorite moments aren’t even in this video and I think a lot of these jokes are better in context
30 Rock was ahead of it's time with it's humor for a show that started in the 2000s because it's basically current twitter shltposting and >greentext posts.
"Oh, I didn't know anyone was here. That wasn't me screaming in the bathroom." Maybe this is obvious to everyone else but I'm just realizing how this takes the common "extremely specific denial that has the opposite of the intended effect" joke format and adds another layer, because not only is it unconvincing, it contradicts the preceding sentence. I really like the way this show would take a joke that was already funny and find a way to put a new spin on it.
all Jenna's songs live rent free in my head. It's absolutely cannon that there was a song performed at Woodstock that went "we are all here at Woodstock/ Some day there will be a black president"
that joke was actually not referencing his crimes, but there is a separate joke (where a cosby impersonator calls tracey to try to get him to come back to work) that directly references it
Just like the Drake s***, R Kelly s***, Weinstein, or T.I. if you paid attention or knew what's good you knew about the stuff years in advance and got to sit around poking fun and trying not to ruin casual conversation ab it
my top 3 30 rock have to be 3: a tie between "jack Donaghy playing with himself... it's a jackoff" and "to you clearly gay kid" where donald glover shows that nobody had to tell he was the gay kid in two lines, amazing 2: tracy directing a movie about a black historical figure meeting octavia spencer and saying "octavia, perfect, you are black" 1: the perfect punchline of "what an adorable little lesbian"

Its on purpose. Conan and 30 Rock were filming very close to each other so they could easily have had Conan on for a real appearance. The joke is that Conan says that Liz acts like he is not even there. He isn't, he is poorly geen screened in 😂

At the risk of sounding snobby, my guess is a lot of the humor in 30 Rock is smarter than a lot of the humor in Friends.
It aired around the same time as the Office, and was overshadowed by its success
