This is awesome!!!!!!!! You did a wonderful job of illustrating how to actually paint on the silicone mold. I am going to do this T-O-D-A-Y!!1 Thanks a million!!!! You're a wonderful teacher.
Thank you so much Kathee. There is another mold that is the same size for different type of butterfly. I'm thinking of doing that one too, so they can hang together? 🤔 So fun!!
Turned out stunning! The colours were a surprise and made it look very high end. Your work is always beautiful and well presented. Thank you for sharing
That is a gorgeous butterfly, I have one about that size I can't wait to try, You can get cheap makeup brushes and sponge applicators like for eyeshadow you know what I mean from Dollar Tree if you have those stores in your area.
Thxs for sharing your video! I've never used these before, but always thought they were pretty. I found myself on Temu & just bought a sm set of 25 colors for $4. I guess we'll see how it goes! lol I don't mind wasting $4 if I don't like it.😉
Very beautiful!!! I am curious to know if you can answer. Did you coat the mold with resin and than pain the micro powder in or just bruch on the micro powder alone ?
Absolutely beautiful. Quick question...do you need to seal the mica's? I know the epoxy picks it up off of the mold, but I wasn't sure if the mica will rub off of the piece when finished. Thanks!
Hi there! I personally do not seal my finished projects after painting on mica powders. Other resin artists may, but I've never felt that I needed too. :)
I love it! But it’s totally different than I expected! The black antennas and the purple are the only colors I recognize. I’m shocked! I do love it. Now I’m curious as to what the white background would look like. Great job! Thanks.
Thank you! And right?? I was so surprised! I'm about half way with trying a white background now. Also, I'm wondering if I would have poured clear resin and let cure before the black if the outcome would have been different. 🤔
did you mix the powder with some resin for the diff colors? Will they keep. I've been trying resin for about year and am having a hard time knowing what to do when and if I should put under light in between? Also, I have a hard time figuring out on each mold which will be the front or back:-)). Gail
Hi that is beautiful can i use chameleon power to do this also are you using UV resin to cure in lamp are A and B the 2 part i have them both but i just need to know which should i use and how much to pour and what ink should i buy i still a beginner at resin hope to hear from you soon i just subscribed thank you for your video have a bless day
I also had these unwanted colour changes when I poured the black resin like you did at the back. My beautiful red rose and orange lily turned into an ugly muddy brown. Very irritating. Now I wonder if I should pour a clear or white background resin - what do you suggest? I spend a lot of time choosing the right colours of mica and do not want them to change.

It reminded me of art deco designs. I’m new to your channel. I’ve not done any resin work yet.

That looks fabulous! I’m just wondering do you think this process would work if casting with plaster?
You know, I haven't worked with plaster yet. If you try it, let me know! Thank you for watching! ❤️
Thank you for you prompt reply what should i look for in mica resin or any other that i buy have a great evening
Oh man Raquel! I'm so sorry... this was not a prompt reply. :( Are you talking about mica powder?
Wow! I just found your video. I didn’t realise you could do that with mica powder! I use Uv will that work also?

So many questions, so many ways! No wonder we get addicted this art!

Be sure to always read the paperwork that comes with each resin you buy. They are not all the same. :)
