I believe it's too early for an M12 in 2025, most probably 2026, which would be 4 years after the M11. Maybe we get lucky for a medium format mirror less solution! Currently I'm a very happy SL3 user, works great for me! Not sure IBIS would fit in the M body with a full frame sensor though... You had me laughing with your the repainted silver M11 theory! 😁
i came to leica store today to try it. it is not look great like m10r black paint and i though leica just re-produced with glossy on top of M11 to push sales because of freeazing problem
It is a beautiful camera but color Science and magenta color cast problems with white balance should not happen with a 10k camera vs Leica sl2 sl3 q2q3 perfect color straight out of camera
I have done multiple tests and especially indoors. The white balance is not consistent and you get a magenta cast sometimes even a yellow/orange cast on skin tones. There are other photographers, especially Thorston Overgard. Speaks about this issue in one of his videos

Again, it’s not something you cannot correct and post but you definitely get a better starting point with a SL3 sensor
@@SnapJimmy looks just like the 10-R except the bottom plate- but that’s kind of what you sign up for when you buy an M- very slow, iterative development- let’s see what the do with the M12, hopefully next year!

I wondered if that was the case- the M11 doesn't freeze like the M11-P, I guess?

I hadn't heard about/seen color cast problems in the M11 vs. SL series- where did you see that?

@ interesting! If you find the TO video, would be interested to see it- I know he likes the M9 and M10 better.

I had the regular M11. The magenta colour cast on the raw files is real and not as easy to remove as it might sound. Very frustrating.
I am surprised to see how similar it looks to the M10-R Black Paint. What a lack of creativity..
