Multi axis woodturning an oak bird

- In this video I make a decorative wooden bird using multiple axis / off centre woodturning to get the final shape. I have done very little experimentation with this technique but hope to do much more in the future.
I sanded but didn't apply a finish to this piece as it was just a test to see how it would come out but I was filming so decided to show you anyway as a fun little turning project for all levels of woodturners.
The music is an original piece I wrote to accompany this video.

I was trying to figure out how you were going to do that before I clicked on the thumbnail, and finally gave up trying. It's fun to see all the different techniques you employ throughout your videos to get the different shapes and designs!

Thanks a lot Mark!! The guitar is my nylon classical which I rarely use, should play it more often really but I think that about all my instruments really lol. That came out so cool! Looked a little tricky but definitely took some skill!
Thank you sir, it can look crazy at first but the principal is exactly the same as any other turning, you just gotta take very light cuts because you're cutting a lot more air.

That was so satisfying to watch! Why did the tail stock look like it was sliding in when you were sanding the bird body?
Cheers man! Yeah it's because it kinda was a little bit. I hadn't locked it down but it looks like it got a lot closer to the piece than it actually did. Noticed that in the edit 🤦♂️
@@tfturning Gotcha...I have a lathe, but I'm no where near as good as you...I learn a lot from your videos and they inspire me to do more turning.
