Hey guys, check out what happened to this Mercedes W203 C-Class after it sit with a dead battery.
This is a 2005 C320. All Mercedes models develop some problems with the electronic components. Do not get me wrong. I love them and they are easy to work but sometime they can kill your pocket.

I drove this model an its the biggest piece of shit I ever drove.mercedes is the worse car company ever.every month some malfunction.the rust is everywhere.and you can't even change a battery by yourself,you have to go to service shop.my battery died and I have so many malfunctions;abs,esp,bas and speed ometer... mercedes is awful car.I will never drive mercedes again

I've been lucky I guess. I have a 2004 c240 that hasn't had any problems. it only has 66,000 miles so I'm hoping I get 150,000 miles (rest of my life) out of the car. fingers crossed.
you're good, just hit 160k running strong, had a friend's with over 200k running great as well, but their sister crashed it!
My 05 230k Supercharged as in today has 222k. Runs and drives great!!

I have this same car, 05 C320. Mine sat for 2 yrs with a dead battery, but I did not experience this issue. Just mirror blinker bulbs going bad, and the key fob battery died, which gave me an ESP error.

hELLO..I've been a subscriber for the longest time and appreciate your blogs. At his time I wonder if you could help me out with my 2001 CLK430. There are times after dricing the car, and switch off the engine, it will not switch on again. The key won't turn and seems like the battery got disconnected. . Thank you.
The CPU can get fried if the battery power runs too low for long time.

I love your videos. I need help with a 01 SLK230 Kompressor 6spd manual. I have multiple issues and 1 that I accidentally caused and have ordered the part to fix. 1st issue: Neither driver or passenger window works but there is power at the plugs. 2nd Issue: Convertible top will not open, just a steady red light that goes out after about 1 minute car running. 3rd and final: There is a pulsating noise coming from the speakers, regardless if the car on or off (electrical short?). Tried pulling fuses to narrow down issue but no luck. Can you do a Video on the issues with these cars OR you can come get mine in Phoenix as a new project... LOL... thanks looking forward to any advice! Keep the video's coming. Oh, broke a pin on the connector of the Central Vaccum Pump (ordered part) that locks / unlocks the doors. Advice to anyone checking this box... Please use care and caution!

i have a 2000 s430 I KNOW i leave nothing on in my car. I HAD IT CHECKED WITH A NEW BATTERY when i had this issue before and no draining or draws. what else could be the issue. i changed the battery and sent to a shop they checked and told me everything on the NEW battery works. it worked yesterday. it worked for a month straight and then stopped. AINT NO WAY I GOT ANOTHER BAD BATTERY and have it die in under 3 months.
we let the same one sit but the battery went bad so we bought a new one. Great Battery from diehard

Battery keeps dying, last night jump started it and experienced long (5 seconds) cranking before turning over. Then shows a CEL with code readings gear shift stick issue and anti collision system. are all these caused by the dead battery? still drives fine and had no issues prior
That's bs my srs thing is on all time in my Mercedes c240 and I let my car sit with a bad battery and bought a new one from triple a for 169$
He didn't say a battery wood fix it--he said a battery caused the problem. SRS lite is the air bag modules in passenger seat and in other places (although not on a C240)

I go through few battery a year it's only negative thing mercedes if you don't go out in them every day the battery dies when hot weather it died when cold weather if you don't drive them and just came cross this after my dad left earth of the batter to see if makes difference hope he not cost me shit load of money by doing so.

07 ml350 tried to jump start it hooking up wires backwards, still ran good for about a month, then got new battery, now have srs problem, plus constant drain on battery, unless battery terminals removed, back hatch wont open, doors wonts unlock, other issues happening
i got a 2001 clk 430 amg my dash wont light up at all wont read the programmer checked all fuses.. my brother Let the car get towed cus he mesed up the rim n tge tow guy had the door open for six months n there was water on the inner floor its a convertible .. i had to rip teeth to get him to tell me weee the car was the mechanic hot wired it got dash to light up but it still wouldnt accept the programmer i changed ignition same problem .. i just found another fuse box under the hood imma check but if that dont work do u think if i replaced the ecm things woukd go back to wat they shoukd so the machanic can reprogram the new ignition

I am in the process of replacing both air bags and module in my son's 2004 Ford escape. Will I need to have anything done at the dealership or can I just replace the parts that are needed. Is there any reprogramming that needs to be done after I replace everything. I went to an auto recycler and got a steering wheel assembly with the air bag and passenger air bag and module out of a car that has been sitting for months with no battery in it.
Need reprogram if it wont start and srs is on but you might get lucky and it will accept it and all good good luck

Having what appears to be either an Alternator / Charging or electrical that kills the battery within hourss. I was told the battery was old but I replaced with an Interstate one and it lasted 1 day! This was posted like 3 years ago or more. But maybe someone can reply to my problem. I have a w203, 2001 C320, with radiator fan not engaging when I turn the AC on, but works fine with the engine. I took off the fan from my car and mounted it on another C32O and worked just fine when AC was turned fine. I also replaced the Refrigerant Pressure Sensor down the condenser; NOTHING. Could it be the SAM (Signal Acquisition Module)?
The car has a battery drain issue; front seats modules disconnected and still drains out in 2 days. Now, i disconnected the TELEAID control module as am having the message in the display so it seemed like a suspect to me. Can't tell yet, because I drive the car every day.

If your key wont turn your ignition doesn't recognize your car anymore same happened to my 02 c240 had to tow to dealer get new ignition and reprogram 1100 dollars

Hi, I have an s430 2001 benz and I just replaced the junction box under passenger floor (brand new) and the car was dead before hand and I was charging up the battery because I need the car for work and my key fob doesnt unlock car, light wont come on and battery wont go above 7.6v its being charged right now and wont go up.

I have 2006 c230. The fob key isn't turning the ignition switch, but the buttons still worked ok. So my son-in-law disconnect the battery and now the siren alarms every time I open a door or trunk and the buttons don't work at all now. I am trying to find fuse to stop alarm, it is very annoying. The dealership is one hour drive and wants to charge me $250 for a new fob key and I have to tow the vehicle to them - another big charge. I could haul it with my Chevrolet HD2500 but very hard getting it on a dolly - the wheels won't turn and cannot neutral the transmission. I don't know if the fob key is even the problem. The vehicle main battery reads 12.4V so I think it is good. I have no way to test the fob key. So I'm needing some good advise because MB doesn't help and much confusion exists with these MB vehicles.
Battery Plus will check your key fob for free.
Does it always say "remove key"? I know this is basic, but I have to stick my finger inside the electronic ignition and turn it slightly or it'll not recognize the key is in there. I think its a worn out spring inside that does engage it disengage it fully.
Tim Shubert ; Take key fob to Batteries + (plus) ; they checked mine and replaced the 2 batteries..cost me $11.00 + tax !!! Works fine ((13 mos.) ago !!

First relax. You can do this. I did it and it is great now. Mine turned out to be main battery under seat. These cars are so loaded with electrical that it is crucial to have proper current at all times. When you pull passenger seat, you will have to unhook SRS from seat. It is a plug. Don't panic. I went to Harbor Freight and bought the hand scanner that resets SRS light on dash. The main battery is a booger to pull, but take your time. It can be done. There are videos on TH-cam explaining exact process for fixing this problem. I saved a ton of money doing this myself. These higher priced GL Mercedes as we have can be costly. Best learn to do repairs yourself and save a ton. I'm here if you need more info. Good luck on your repair.

New battery rated for GL 450? My car was doing those crazy things. Did you replace the auxiliary battery? It is the small battery in same location as big battery.

Buddy had a point about the airbag issue. I never knew that the computer would forget about the airbag VIN number for the car. I don't know if he's right or wrong but that particular situation that he pointed out seems to be a little accurate so I'mma keep watching him and whoever else!

I have a C230 Kompressor Sport died the other night. I was driving down the highway and i noticed lights dimming, pulled over
& light on dash said engine battery warning. engine died & the instrument panel went black and had no ignition power nothing..

Check online fuse at battery your lucky they usually catch fire at battery
