I love how nobody ever talks about Ghost Trick but whenever someone who's played it hears any mention of it, they activate like a sleeper agent.

You can definitely tell who has and hasnt played Ghost Trick by the ammount of hype a Redhead being held at gunpoint causes.
On the other hand, everyone can be hyped for Layton. Everyone knows how big his return is.
Ghost Trick is so underrated. I was only more excited for Layton because it's a new game (still incredibly hyped for it)

As an Ace Attorney fan, I'm happy I can finally play it.

I feel a little disappointed that not everyone is as hyped as Roger for Professor Layton. That game united me with my best friend in highschool, I'm so glad it's back.

If I can reassure you, I had almost the same reaction as him I swear ! Just a silent version (hard to maintain) bcs my parents were sleeping upstairs. But I was jumping, silently screaming, smiling crying of JOY and like everything and the effervescence on Layton Discord ats time, it was just magical and I am just in a living dream since this announce. One of my Dreams happened. I'm not joking my body was shaking and... like the tears. And even now one of the most HUGE happiness eradiates my body just by typing this comm and thinking abt it. I'm addicted to reactions videos, seeing all the fans being so happy. I live a dream litterally. And I'm sure all the Layton's fans are like me. This is legendary. It was THE thing of the direct for me. Forget Zelda that I love, forget Mario Kart, I forgot everything, I just, this unique announce made the rest of my life happier.🎩🧡 Layton is finally back and it seems like a pure wonder. A true Layton 🧡🤌 (see by yourself I am writing a BOOK bcs how much I NEED to talk about it but I have NOBODY to talk to so intensely abt it ^^')
It was amazing because all of the Layton channels I subscribed to suddenly came back to life lol

Easily the highlights of the direct. Ghost Trick and Professor Layton are two of my favourite franchises, and their inclusion made me more hyped than any other direct in recent years

To that one guy who’d never even heard of Layton: what?? Where have you been, my guy?? One of my favourite game series of all time! So sad to see most people only a little bit happy to see him, as opposed to Roger, who’s reaction was much more in line with my own 😂

what's really funny about this reveal (aside from the fact it's hype as hell) is that i had actually JUST finished ghost trick DAY-OF-DIRECT, like not even four hours before the direct started
so ghost trick was hot on my mind already, but i wasn't expecting it at the direct, so it completely blindsided me and yet simultaneously i knew what was up

Professor Layton almost made me cry, I haven't been this excited for a Nintendo game since Splatoon 3
I cried as soon as I knew what I was looking at.
I literally just finished playing ghost trick like not even a week ago and I think it’s one of my favorite games I’ve ever played in my life. I can’t wait for more people to play this game. It’s so underrated.
And Professor Layton is a series I’ve been so sure was dead for so long that this reveal was literally the only thing(outside of Ghost Trick) to make me react at all(it made me scream)
Ghost Trick is one of the best Ds games ever made, SO HAPPY it's back. Now GIVE ME A SEQUEL!!!

Same here! I think it has my favorite plot twist ever told in a video game. I wish I could forget about it so I could experience it all over again, I'm so jealous of everyone who hasn't played it yet...

Yep, Ghost Trick has been proven to be one underrated game by the Ace Attorney Creator.
But hopefully I feel like they might enjoy it if they consider playing it even just once. Shu Takumi never fails to impress with both dialogue and gameplay!
Ghost Trick is a hidden gem that keeps on giving.
Yeah, Takumi's games are by far the best in this genre
Fun fact: Toby fox said that ghost trick was one of his favorite games to play. I don't have the interview on hand but you can look it up

My reaction was so fun because I was in a voice chat with friends, during the transition to Professor Layton I mentioned: You know what Level-5 should be announcing? *top hat appears * AAAAAHHHHHHHH"
I screamed/cried like a kid for minutes.
I like how Nintendo dropped the new tracks for Mario Kart after Layton. Like, Lads, I'm still screaming/crying/hyperventilating over my MAN'S RESSURECTION, I DO NOT CARE ABOUT KARTS. MY MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN

We got hope now, after they Port and Remake it, they want to put it back into the public eye, they dont do that just because they want people to play it, to maiby prepare them for a sequel, loved this game its so clever and emotional

Reasons to play ghost trick:
-It's made by Shu Takumi, if you like any ace attorney game then you'll definitely enjoy the tone of the game
-The creator of the game put his late dog in the game and basically turned him into the hatchiko of videogames
-Toby Fox likes that game (of course he does)
-Great soundtrack (you can choose between the original and the arranged versions on the remaster!)
-Top tier characters. Especially their designs
-It has a good plot twist that doesn't come out of nowhere,the game has good foreshadowing and build-up
-You'll become a walking advertisement for the game once you play it. Just look at me!
The reaction i saw of this direct was The Quarter Guy's and I was so happy to see my favorite Puzzle Professor back

Deep down, we all were hyped.
Guys you need to play Ghost Trick it is so incredibly fun to figure out the right combinations of object Manipulation, and the right Timing, and the Feeling when you reach your goal is unmatched, in combination with a really emotional Story its seriously one of the most underrated games in the World, probably one of my favorites
I believe everyone should pl a y or experience ghost trick at least once.
Everyone I talked to after the direct were like ‘why are you excited for ghost trick and DecaPolice?’ And I have to tell them ‘well, ghost trick is by the ace attorney people, and I’m excited for DecaPolice and Layton because I thought level 5 went bankrupt years ago’

@@haruhisuzumiya6650 While Ghost Trick is definitely more unknown, it being a DS exclusive for over 10 years while he mainly streams PC games definitely cuts the chances.
However, now that it is coming to Switch, we might get too see him play it for the first time! That would be wonderful!

BUT what I will say is that I am having so much hype that this game is returning.
The reason why no one talks about the mobile versions is that you can only play Chapter 1, the rest are locked behind a paywall

I don't understand why Layton got so much more of a reaction from most of these people than Ghost Trick. I mean, Layton is nice and all, but you do understand that the puzzles you solve in his games have nothing to do with the actual plot, right?
It has been almost 7 years since the last proper mainline entry.
Plus, it's Layton.
Because one is a port and one is a new game, maybe?
