Said to my mate at half-time.We should take Jefte off as they are targeting him for a second yellow. He was booked for standing on Yarmalenko's foot. He made 4 challenges after that in the first half, 2 fouls, 2 fair, yet 3 times the Kyiv players stayed down and rolled around. His first challenge ( fair again ) in the second half. Player goes down holding his face. Terrible call but seen it coming. If I can see it, how come the Rangers manager and coaches can't see it?
Because that makes too much mate. Our typical fan base don't want to accept our manager isn't the guy they thought he was 😂 that's Sunday league coaching.
Exactly the same thing I said to my wife at half time could see it coming a mile away clemont should have brought him of at half time and diomande to risky when they were both on yellows
Surely you're no counting pre-season friendlies? Tbf not counting them doesn't make much better reading, 5 wins from last 14 and that's not counting the defeats to Ajax, Man U and Birmingham and draw with Union Berlin in pre-season
@unclesnakehips6810 fair point but including or excluding fruendlies Rangers appear to have lost the habit of winning games of football.Starting with loss to Motherwell at Ibrox pre split results have been really poor
This red card thing is just totally deflecting from the real issues. Obviously, it was wrong, but for goodness sake, Clement had to actually do his damn job and MANAGE that situation. The guy was on a yellow. Was then in another tackle where u could see the ref was thinking about it.... yet he keeps him on after half time. (This isn't hindsight as i was saying at half-time that Jefte is gonna get a 2nd yellow) Everybody knows Ukrainians are getting leeway & favourtism in sports, etc, right now due to obvious reasons. The propaganda that's out there shoved down our throats. Clement has to be savy to that & not naive. Beale would get more criticism, yet he was a total rookie? This guy is supposed to be a well experienced coach, so no excuses. Then, if that's not poor enough management. His decision that he ridiculously made a fool of himself trying to defend rather than just be man enough to admit he ballsed it up.... to not play Cerny from the start. Isn't that game one of the main reasons this guy was brought into the club, to play in this game & get us the 30million. Shouldn't you always play your best possible team? His answer was that he was told he could only play for 45 mins.... what a bunch of utter BULLSH*T. Get shot of these absolute morons in the backgound. Is that him admitting he doesn't pick the team?? Even if it was true, then why does it have to be the 2nd 45 mins and not the first? Had it been the first then, maybe you could potentially take the lead in the match, and it might alter the course of the game instead of the coming on for the chase. Why don't WE take the lead and be in the driving seat for a change in these big games!
I totally agree with your take on the Ukraine velvet gloves issue. Was it not the ex. Rangers manager Graham Suness who demanded that the Ukraine team be put directly into the Euros a few years ago !
Agree with most of what you've said and when I seen the line ups I was clueless to why cerny was on the bench, but to be fair I think mccausland was actually our best player in the first half
We haven't looked threatening all season or pre-season. Barely even create 1 clear-cut chance per game, while the other side of the city will go on winning 4-0 or 5-0 every week.
We created a number of great chances in the first, problem is the players don't know when they've got a chance, tav had a great chance to shoot, Lawrence let the ball go under his foot, dessers let the ball bounce when Lawrence flicked it over the top and got outmuscled. The players have to shoot when they get the chance
@@andymc2229 very true, that we're not being clinical or ruthless enough when a chance does come but I still think we're producing too few opportunities. We've reverted to just punting crosses into the box mostly.
Yeah, that and the fact that our attacks break down with shite touches from our attackers, the amount of times I watch us and we just can't sustain possession because dessers or Lawrence or tavernier lose the ball needlessly.. then we're defending a counter attack. We need better quality upfront. I think for every goal dessers scored last season his crap link up play is gonna cost us half as many on the counter
It a horrible mess that has been caused by our own club. We need to get our Scottish identity back , stop over looking Scottish players . Thought wee Barron run his heart out tonight.
Yep the dogs are barking and the Belgian Wafflevan keeps on rolling. He had loads of quality at Monaco and screwed it. The fans say he was a bad manager that they held onto too long. That's the consensus in Monaco fan forums.
@@calumbigc we need to stop buying the scraps from the championship mid-table and league 1. And maybe actually use the players that we have. I like having Dessers at the club, but he shouldn't be starting over Danillo every week.
I said that Tav would get done by Voloshyn in this tie. Tav is rubbish defensively. I also said there is a sicknote sub group that hampers this team that we need rid of. Ridvan is a key name I have pointed out in that group, and low and behold as good a player as he is for a short run of games, he is injured again. Others include Sterling, Raskin and Matondo. We need rid of them, as they hold us back and can't be relied on as they are made of sugar. Dessers is not good enough to lead the line either, he is OK for rotation and a sub, but he is on too much money to just be that. Davies and Souttar are also not good enough for me. Butland I fully expect will be sold now. I have suspected Kelly is the replacement in waiting. It likely depended on us getting to the Champions League. I hope he stays all the same, but I have noticed a weak part of his game. Low shots. I also said that before and Dynamo knew this. In every other way he is a great keeper, and to be fair he doesn't have much of a defensive unit infront of him. He has been very exposed this season. I have been angry at Clement recently. Some of his decisions are baffling, but he does not have much quality to work with, so I am going to give him time. My real fury is with this board, for the mismanagement of funds putting us in a £10.5 million blackhole and for allowing overspend of funds we clearly didn't have. They have hamstrung the new manager, it seems they might have misled him over support levels available and I am also angry for the years of injury prone types signed. It is unforgivable when a simple Internet search can show prior patterns of regular injury. Its not good enough and in all honesty the brass neck of this board to mismanage us into debt after 2012 is appauling. The board should have to cover that debt between them, not as a loan but as an apology to fans for their mismanagement and dig into their own pockets to cover it.
Clement has no money available and has been told to cut the wage bill by 5 or 6 million, that is why they extended his contract, They are giving him a couple of years to build a team.
As sad as it seems, at Ibrox you don't get time & PC will soon find that out him & the board, if this slump continues it'll just be a matter of time before the fans call for his head, for years now the board at Ibrox have been a liability & the fans need to stop giving our hard earned cash @@robertrowan8738
You are right but this would be the ideal time to build a young side, and let them get experience and be moulded into a good team together. Use what we have and let the best young guys get ahead of the experience curve by throwing them in and sticking with them as they progress with Clements coaching.
@@rangersnut They are throwing in young players but only the ones that have been bought in. I feel these players don’t have the passion or sense of what it means to be a Rangers players. We pay millions to have an academy and can’t produce what we need from it???
Actually wish most of the rangers fans would now go support partick thistle , I’m 54 and been supporting rangers since some of these rockets were born, the fan base these days is embarrassing, hate hate hate hate even hate when a guy hasn’t even played yet. I’ve blocked so many fan pages cause fans are embarassing. Will always follow u champ much respect
@@andywells4907 I am also 54, and been a ST holder for nearly 40 years. I can honestly say this is the worst Rangers team I have seen. Zero leadership. Zero fight. Very little quality. The club, and manager are taking us for a ride. Clements style of play and team selections are terrible. He sold us a gold watch when he arrived and it looks like it was BS. The way the team is performing just now is the exact reason Monaco sacked him
absolute shecht CJ you are a long standing supporter of this team as i am but its hard to swallow the BS thats coming out of Ibrox right now. Theres absolutely no improve from last season with the changes in personnel thats occurred. Everything is going backwards. It doesnt MATTER that we ended with 10 men. we couldnt score a goal if dessers managed to put his boots on the right feet for once and theres no match winners in this team. its gonna be a long embarrassing season unless something magical happens to make these guys rise to the levels they need to be at. im as low right now as when we ended up down in Div 4
We’re not looking good at all Celtic smashed every team they’ve played so far just need some new ideas we look scared to play a ball forward and Davies was finished before he even came on
CJ there is no argument, the sending off changed the game but c’mon man, when is everybody gonna wake up and realise that this balloon Clement is a duffer. His team selections, substitutions, and tactics have been absolutely baffling for months now! This bollocks about ‘it’s not his fault, he can only play with what he’s got’ guff is getting tiresome. Pick your BEST team, simple! And when you make subs, make the right ones, at the right times! This is happening every fkn week, and people still think he is the messiah. The guys a dud, and the sooner people realise he is part of the problem, the better. We are going nowhere under this man
Hes signed a gd few players now and Barron and and a loan Cerny are only decent ones. Rest are baffling signings. one Igamane from a Morrocan league tht arrived unfit or not used to pro football or some weird excuse clement gives. 2.5 million he was, which could have went into a real first team signing.
He didn't sign any player. Koppen does that. Silva was a duffer. Other than that the signings have looked decent. The jury is still out though. @@SHUGSCOTLAND100
I think keeping hagi is a must now. We won’t be able to replace his numbers for the peanuts we’d sell him for. Like you say CJ, we can put out a decent first 11 if we select the right guys, assuming no injuries (no laughing at the back).
Until the red card we were well in the game and you could argue had the better of the chances, butland never touched the ball with his hand before the red card. Was never a yellow card and the ref cost us tonight. No cards for them when they were playing so dirty, the tackle on mccausland didn’t even get a card. The minute the red card happened I knew it was too much of a task for us. That ref should never officiate at that level again. I’m just sad this will now be it for our incomings. We have to limp thru this season with this small squad with no depth 💔 I’m not even expecting anything this season, this season is building to next season as we’re not good enough and have no money to make us better
@@gladiatorprogrammeWe do. Our young players. It will take time but it would be worth backing them over a few seasons to build a strong team and cheer them on through thick and thin as the experience builds
If we have no money how the hell are we going to build for next season. The loser mentality that is firmly entrenched in the club both on and off the pitch means things will never change until a complete change of players and board. Personally I think we are finished as a genuine title contender season after season. Celtic because of their financial turnover are uncatchable which in effect makes the league each year a farce. Celtic really need to try and find another league to play in and let the rest of the dross including us scrap tor the title. In reality, we are now closer to clubs like Ross County and St Mirren
Hello everyone! A traditional post midnight upload however no European magic to breakdown this time as that was as poor as it gets from all angles... What's your reaction to the game?
Just anger, anger at the ref, yes, anger at our lack of quality and anger at the board for the mismanagement of our finances as a club. How dare they do that after 2012. Clement and the fans are suffering. I have been having a bad time lately and directed a lot of anger at Clement, it's not really his fault at all, though some of his choices baffle me. The bad decisions over the last decade have come home to roost from the board and the medical and scouting side. I believe it will get better, but I think we are in for some more pain yet before it does.
Terrible decision by the ref but Jefte should have been hooked at half time as you could see a red card coming. PCs decision. Lawerence was terrible but played 85 minutes. PCs decision. We can’t change our shape & tactics during a game. PCs decision. Maybe Souness was right 🤷♂️
So many negatives however the quicker we realise and accept Tav’s demise the quicker we will get to where we want to be. The fact others’ qualities are not being utilised because they need to cover the captain is criminal. I took my boy to the game, his first European game, and I built it up only to have to explain and apologise to him due to that pile of crap. Horrible game and horrible atmosphere
Apart from the Ref ruining the game. I have defended Phil since day one but no more after his baffling decisions once again. I’m completely fed up CJ. This was absolutely crucial for us. The players and the manager shat it regardless of the ref. Phil deserves every bit of criticism and we need to start asking him hard hitting questions like other European clubs do. Our standards are at an all time low once again. Shambles all around the club. This is going to be a long season and I’m dreading the OF. Just get these duffers out man I can’t take them embarrassing our club anymore!..
Shocking decision aside, thought we were pretty poor again overall. Showed some moments but we are just pretty bland, not really seeing what we’re trying to do in terms of style of play etc. Hopefully it comes but I really don’t feel optimistic at the moment.
Good post ! No one is talking about the stupidity of the Brazillian for being too aggressive and asking the ref. to hand him a silly yellow in the first half.
Tav shocking defensively again. Caught out loads. We need a change in captaincy, and in terms of recruitment, it's going to be difficult getting players in now.
Clement is to blame for me, everyone saw that the ref gave jefte a last chance and he goes and leaves him on the park, never a foul but he shouldn't have been on the park anyway, Kiev were there for the taking in both matches so you're right CJ The manager and the players are at fault as well. And then there's Tav who got run past every time on the wing .
Yep, if an old head like Lundstram can get sent off, then Clement has to realise Jefte is a young and way less experienced guy. Though I think he will become a fine player for us and that's a learning experience. I would stick with Jefte or Fraser for LB vs Ridvan, as, the wee Turkish fella is to injury prone.
The only PLUS out of tonight is not having to watch RB Salzburg destroy us. Listen, in my eyes and I’m sure most bears will agree, we are a SHITSHOW from top to bottom and Celtic will canter another treble. As you say CJ , he continues with the same players that continually let us down… Long long season. Kabaye still has TAV in his pocket, and why is Sterling not at RB is beyond me…
I go to every single game, home and away, and I walked out early tonight too. Never felt so disheartened in my team, and the standards my club seem to accept these days. Shocking standard of players, shocking standard of football, and shockin decisions by Clement yet again. He’s very quickly being found out
As a Celtic fan, even I couldn’t believe that sending off. I do think that second yellows, which mean a red is shown, should be reviewable by VAR. I was surprised that Clement didn’t take Jefte off at HT, as he was on a yellow and had risked another with a few fouls after that, so I imagine the ref was watching him (he did actually warn him). Not in any way excusing the ref’s shockingly poor decision to give him the second yellow for that, but it did feel (rightly or wrongly) like it might be a red waiting to happen and he wasn’t having as good a game as he had in the first leg. Cerny could have replaced Jefte instead of McCausland, without really weakening the team last night.
Cj we have such a weak squad buddy the lack of quality is absolutely frightening and it’s on our board the incompetence from that lot is beyond staggering I can’t see any improvement any time soon and it pains me to say it
Scandalous was to keep Jefte for the second half having in mind the number of fouls he committed in the first half. He was a ticking bomb. It is a right moment to start asking questions over Clement
Rubbish ! His elbow did hit the Dynamo mans cheek ! If the Rangers man had not been so stupid by earning a soft first yellow earlier in the game, he would have been OK
The biggest disadvantage for Rangers was buying steel from China and not from the UK, thus loosing the home advantage of playing the game at the fired up partisan cauldron that is Ibrox on big European nights that lifts the team to greater heights of play and motivation, the refs decision was secondary, a very costly call in the long run !
@@den264 that your version of events what about the 4 Dynamo players that Didn't get Booked for the bad foul s like watching calum mcgregor and wee Bug Eyes
I was told a 2nd yellow that equals a red u don’t get a Var check , it was awful red card & I’m Celtic . I’m NOT sure if that is the rule of VAR it was someone on another thread that told me bc I pointed out VAR should have checked it .
@@rangersnut Agreed that we're obviously in bad shape but I dont see how you could say we def woulda lost because the game was on a knife edge before that sending off and I would say we were marginally better and had more chances.
He was but so was Clements starting picks and tactics. No plan B, or ability to roll the dice. All too safe. My only shock was Wright didn't start. Another Clement favourite.
@@GrumpyGerno plan b? By putting on Cerny at half time would have been part of the plan but after the sending off what are we have meant to have done. The guys put in a shift throughout and still managed remarkably to create a few chances. By the time they eventually scored we were knackered after only third competitive match.
Excellent analysis, and as a Celtic supporter I can honestly say that was the worst ref decision I've ever seen. Ist foul was hardly a booking never mind the 2nd 'header' - that's all it was. You have no striker, you nearly had one but Beale never played him. Celtic will get embarrassed as ever so no gloating here. Sure, money in the bank but what's the point if you don't spend it? It's a football club, built by working people who spend chunks of cash to watch rich bawsacks splaff it against the wall. I've not even started on the players. These things are cyclical remember. It's just a game xxx 13:25
Worst decision you ever seen and your a Celtic fan so youve never seen them get better decisions when playing us 🤣🤣 just another boy looking likes, pathetic !
As a rangers fan, didn’t watch the game. That’s where I’m at with the club, where I point blank can not be arsed to watch anymore. The club is embarrassing from top to bottom, take me back to when we were an actual challenging and competitive team … 15 years ago.
@@JoMammasHouseCeltic’s average attendances in the 1980s were c. 35,000. It was Ibrox in the early ‘80s that was empty. Rangers had home attendances below 10,000. In the early 1990s, even during a broad fan boycott, Celtic never had a sub-10,000 home crowd.
@@vincentmcnabb939 fair do’s. I remember Ibrox being empty too. My main point still stands tho. It’s the only way to affect change in the hierarchy. If the fans don’t like what they’re seeing stop paying to go watch it 🤷♂️
@@JoMammasHouse To be honest, I don't think fan boycotts will do the club any good. The club needs to live more within its means and build that way. I think Rangers need a 3-year plan here. Perhaps, Clement's extended contract is a commitment signal to that. The big need is for the fans, who are quickly losing patience, to stay committed and be prepared for a longer build back. Ultimately, it's about money and Rangers don't have the current funds. I think it was a big mistake sacking GVB (I think he would have come good and needed more time and backing) and it was a bigger mistake hiring and funding Beale. Rangers need to stick with Clement now and build from there. It will take time. It was a different circumstance with Celtic in the 1990s. McCann was there to step in and the fans were entirely onboard and also pumped money into the club. Scottish football was in somewhat of a boom period. Even then, much to many Celtic's fans increasing consternation, McCann took his time and kept rigidly to plan and to budget. Celtic won only one league title in six seasons under McCann and little else but the legacy is Celtic being where they are today. 🍀
@@vincentmcnabb939 all good points. Not sure the fan base will be as patient as required tho. I hope so of course but after the last 12 yrs patience is in short supply. Thanks for the comments. Good to have a civil discussion with the other side 😁👍
The reality is the club has been mismanaged by a bunch of clowns for the past 4 years. Lack of investment, lack of foresight, lack of patience, lack of understanding, and lack of nous. The Board has presided over a culture of mediocrity and "that'll do" since we won the title, failing to back Gerrard and seeing us getting papped out the CL by Malmo. The lack of funds gave Gerrard itchy feet and he left at a very inopportune time in the season. Gio was a good appointment and all things considered a run to the EL final and a Scottish Cup win wasn't a bad return given no money was spent. But again, he wasn't backed and it was hardly surprising that even though we secured CL group stage football, which was a monumental achievement, we were roundly thrashed. Increasingly powderpuff showings domestically did for Gio, although the lack of investment was largely to blame. He was given the bullet in favour of that snake oil salesman Beale, who talked a poor game and was even worse in reality. The extraordinary waste of precious funds last summer will hobble us for years to come. Not only is the money depleted, but he lumbered us with a few high earners who've been abysmal. Yes, we've managed to get rid of Lammers and Cifuentes for decent money, but those wages were criminal. It is ridiculous we find ourselves in this position after 55. An undefeated league season, albeit rubbish cup runs, and our foot on Celtic's neck. 10IAR gone and timplosions everywhere. Trouble is, they got their act together very quickly and we sat back and did absolutely nothing.
Lots to be angry about after that (especially the ref) and many comments covering them, but one I have not seen is why after going behind, Clement moved Propper up as a forward when in his words he has a fit Danilo on the bench. If Danilo is fit and on the bench with less than 10mins to go, why not sub Propper off and put a real forward on?
Back to pre- Souness days, to the last knockings of Greig and Wallace's time. Same issues. An incompetent board, managers not up to it or past their best, and a squad full of mediocrity. Clement talks about fitness, yet we still have multiple injuries, still sign half fit players , can't sustain a press for more than 20 minutes. He looked done at the post match presser, and I think he'll be gone before October.
He is very exposed by a poor defensive line, mixed with his one weakness. Low shots with pace. He really struggles and Dynamo knew that. Being a man down it afforded them space and I knew Voloshyn on that left side would get at Tav. I said it before the tie was played. I was shocked he didn't start last time for them. He is excellent. Tav is not going to come off well against the likes of him defensively.
He struggles with shots that are low. A lot of fans and media blew to much smoke up his arse and the reality of how good he actually is has come out in the past few months. A decent keeper, nothing more.
Don’t understand why we never just start the match with our strongest 11. That red card was a shocker. But our front 3/4 are just not capable of winning us matches, Dessers losing his head at the fans was very telling.
The ref really blew it, it was a horrendous decision. We have to look past that though, this lands on the board and Clement. The board gambled by not investing to get us into the CL group stages. This season was a write off before a ball was kicked. I’m being realistic. Clement has Hagi in the B team, Cantwell in limbo…. What an utter shambles. We are not playing our strongest team. We even had Cerny on the bench, a man who assisted and scored in his last two games. That’s no one’s fault but Clements.
Playing the way we are we'll be getting scudded in the EL can't even think how badly we'd do in the CL. Also can't decide whether it's worse to lose out on the money but not get as bad a pumping or not. Hoping we can get Cerny, Danilo and Cortes all fit soon. Badly needing a decent 10 as well. Lawrence is an empty jersey.
See i completely disagree with that. Dynamo is a well drilled team scoring 9 v partizan this was always going to be a tough game and when it was 11 vs 11 tonight we looked the better team. For me, I cant blame all the players or the manager but only the ref for the difference between 2 closely matched squads
@@MrRangersfan4everyep i think beale has taken us behind so far though that both Gerrard team and geos team were undoubtedly better and they could atleast play the same formation each week and have confidence in the same starting 11 433 each week
It hard to disagree with anything CJ says here, his summary of this game is spot on... especially where he says the Rangers side that made the Europa cup final would destroy this current team!
Honestly terrified about where the club is heading- don't see a way out either (unless this board gtf and someone with a bit cash takes the reigns). In a few weeks a bad defeat at parkhead might make Clement's position untenable through circumstances not completely within his control...at least we will be due him a lot money due to his new contract if sacking him becomes innevitable...
Our best hopes are either the board sell up to someone who can run the club the way it deserves to be run. Or radical action and the fans give Clement time to mould a team of young guys from a mix of a few choice seniors, talent brought in and our best youths getting first team promotion. It may take 2 or 3 seasons of progress but it would be worth it.
Problem is that Clement is tactically inept! He continues to play the 4231 formation when we don’t have the players for it, he persists in playing Souter, Davies, Tav, Wright, Dessers…. These players and this manager will never win us anything. I can’t believe he didn’t take Jefte off at half time. Yes the decision was wrong, but he was carded and had committed a few fouls after the booking already, instead our manager takes off the right winger and leaves Jefte on…. Madness!
Ref was a disgrace ,, cost us a shot at £40m, is and I’ll say it again is Dessers the answer no we’ll win nothing if we rely on him as our number one striker , we need a number 10 Lawrence is not the answer , In fact Hagi is a better player.
Even if you won last nights game, you had another two games to go v RB LEIPZIG. Get you facts right. Just as you think you couldint feel any worse! The 1st of September is looming at Paradise. Well, our Paradise your HELL! Who mentioned 55. Oh! That's right another thing you cant bare. You all must be "BEALIN" 🤣☘🍀🇨🇮. By the way, your board are mince! That's where your whole problem is. Perhaps I shouldint help you but I'm not really, you all know. Anarchy is not far away eh!
Giving a severely injured Hagi an extended loan was gross negligence by the idiots that run the club , the same idiots that extended this clueless managers contract.
Ref was helping keep Ukraine profile and exposure 100% he let their fouls go and was bang on any of ours with a yellow. That being said we’ve gave ourselves too much to do once again. We should have signed Shankland in January to match Celtics signing of Adam Idah and we’d have a good chance of winning league and straight into the champions league whereas they wouldn’t have qualified. but we got Fabio Silva and his wages weren’t cheap. If we get rid of PC his contract is mega bucks so it’ll cost us so much in dead money and then more to poach a new managers and it’ll be Derek McJnness who we wanted in 2017. PC Isn’t perfect but the board are the real problem. Hampden looks really depressing and our board have put us into this mess. If we’re being hinest Kiev cut us up down both flanks over 2 lega. What would a proper champions league team have done: we’ve got to get more transfer business done ASAP: TAV, Cantwell, Hagi, Lowry, Wright, Lawrence we need them gone. Maybe we needing to park football and get the clear out we need. Add to that Dowel, Matondo isn’t the cleverest and if I’m being brutally honest I think Danilo could turn out to be a bigger disaster than Dessers (who I believe needs 2 up front) oh well Celtic won’t do anything in the champions league they’ll stink the place out so zero co-efficiency help from the stinkers.
Pumped out of the Champions league at the first hurdle against what must be one of the poorest teams to ever play in Scotland and all you have to say is " ah ! Well, at least Celtic will do poorly in their group" what a total dolt you are !
If there was going to be no money for Clement , they should not have appointed him, and gone for McInnes who knows how to build a team on the cheap. He has done it numerous times and knows what it takes to win big games.
C’mon ! I’m a Celtic fan and I’m used to getting humped by wee teams in champions league qualifiers! But I know we’re to blame when it happens as us our board! Just accept you got beat by a marginally better team! Jefte was fouling all night and walking a tightrope after his first yellow! Your manager was to blame and! HE should have hooked him at 45 minutes! We heard the same nonsense after the cup final! But your analysis is fair (and good). But lay off the ref.. Jefte should have been hooked! The ref knew he was in last chance saloon as did the Kiev players!
You're definitely right that Jefte should have been pulled at half time, he was definitely on thin ice. Clement gambled big time on him. I think it's the fact that he got sent off for something that would be a really harsh free kick let alone a yellow. the number of times Kyiv players went down holding their faces was a bit pathetic. Play acting as a tactic just isn't nice to watch
For me, there is only one person to blame this manager keeps playing his wee favorite's his starting 11 his substitutions no style of play is fucking honking
This is sad, feel sorry for the club, and so bad that Hagi is kept at team B, when we needed all the assets to be played at this point of the competition!
Clement didn't make the right tactical decisions taking off Diomande putting Davies on at left back, not starting Cerny or Sterling after them making such an impact last week is baffling
I am not having anyone slate uncle Festers superior tactical knowledge. In Belgium he is known as the chosen Bun. He has two titles there you know. That's a top 5 league. He lulled Dynamo into a false sense of security. The ref ruined it. Then our chosen Bun forgot to send on SW23 to take them down. I know how special he is, even if others don't. SW23 and JT2 will be back gunning for glory next year in the Champions league, Mark my words.
Jack Butland could almost have gone home up until the sending off, and I doubt many would have noticed. They weren't threatening our goal at all 11 v 11. I didn't agree with the first yellow, but the second wasn't even a foul, never mind a second yellow. It's one of the worst decisions I've seen in a long time, and it could genuinely have massive implications for our club and season. I get that there were other issues at play, other chances we maybe should take, but that there changed the state of play, and the ref who has potentially cost us 40 million won't face a single sanction or repercussion. PC even alluded to not wanting to criticise him for fear of that coming back on us! Madness, how little accountability there is for these "Professionals."
100% Tav is an absolute embarrassment at this point and my god Phil is all over the place to the point it seems like he’s just guessing and pretending like he knows what he’s doing. Long long season ahead..
@@rangersnut absolutely mate. If his body and mentality wasn’t already in the gutter then god help us all, he is going to be an utter joke out there now after being knocked out of the CL. Rough season ahead..
I think as a lifelong supporter. Grew with the 9inarow, era, and this lot is dire, from board to team, management, and some fans. The board is absolutely clueless right now. Inexperienced players, some fans have managers coat on shoogly peg! Stadiums a shambles. Year in year out, we all pay for this and am feeling ripped off!!
All very fair and accurate comments CJ. As soon as Jefte went off, I knew it was over. I’m totally depressed now and wondering if we can cope with the challenges of Hearts and the seemingly reinvigorated Aberdeen this season? How embarrassing would it be if we failed to finish second? Do we have any chance of winning a Cup? I’m hoping against hope that I’m wrong but I’m not seeing any evidence to suggest that I should change my opinion.
No gonna lie am hurting after that CJ. Scandalous decisions all over the park tonight but all in all we simply weren't good enough & that's what hurts the most tbh
the red card has gave clement a get out of jail card, our play is abysmal passing is poor Tav is a liability and dessers is a donkey, even then we should have had that sewn up before the 2nd yellow.
celtic fan here but you are absolutely spot on in that Jefte was a walking red card. I said the same to our group chat that the ref had his card marked and it wouldnt take much for another one. Was really surprised he came out in the 2nd half. Ref was a joke with that 2nd yellow but you could sense it was coming
Most of our attackers couldnt even do the basics of fball and trap, pass or shoot without falling over the ball over and over. How Pro players getting paid all tht money and cant do the basics baffles me. The ref was just part of a bigger problem. Incompetent board, a manager tht contradicts himself constantly, and a bang average SPL playing side.
@@vinnyganzano1930 agreed, Davies too. Defence collapsed as soon as he came on. Tavs done, was skinned multiple times during whole game. Like Ridvan but hes constantly injured and not reliable now. Danilo who knows wts goin on.
@@SHUGSCOTLAND100 I thought Ridvan was an absolute weak link tonight. That's the thing with him (inbetween the injuries) it's either feast or famine - he's either on it or man down.
yep and part of a sub group not robust enough. You get maybe a handful of games and then sicknote time. Ridvan, Raskin, Sterling and Matondo, Dowell and to a lesser extent Lawrence. Guys who can't be available for big chunks of a season. Thats not a solid foundation for success. We need robust types. Folk have argued I am wrong. There injuries and Tidvan injured yet again says otherwise. I am also right about Sima and it's why we should stay away. Talented yes, regular periods of injury yes. Even before we signed he had regular periods of injury. Brighton will know that and they were hoping we would give them the best deal for him. As we have a mugs track record under this board for signing these types. It is the reason our projects haven't paid off outside of Bassey and Patterson. A simple internet search will show Ridvans patterns of injury before we signed him. Same old story. One day the penny will drop.
Exactly CJ. The team has lost what it had a few years ago when we came home with a result with 9 men. We could've played 15 men and still never scored a goal last night. I won't happy clap shots on target. Goals. We need goals.
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel we're going on a downward spiral, having spent piles on players that don't/can't play, Cerny + Barron only decent signings (and the former is only a loan); meanwhile, we have to field the same frustrating group, 2 of whom are playing out of position, and as such we barely scraped it against an under-strength Motherwell. Champions League?? 😅 We're not even tin-cup Conference material. This old, familiar cycle begins once more , and 99 percent of fans are sick to death of it. It's merely a question of when they're going to start voting with their feet.
Although Butland made his comments this week i have the feeling he could be off to fund the gap of the CL money. Feels like a telling statement to make. Kelly would still be a great number 1 to have
I think Kelly was the fallback. Butland spoke of chatting with the board over ambitions aligning and how they matched. Reading between the lines I think he was checking to see what ambitions they had and I would not be surprised if because of no Champions League he leaves to cover the financial shortfall, along with anyone else they can move on out. I think Dessers will go also before the window shuts. Hagi, Cantwell and Davies also. Then maybe we get a loan or two, a free agent in and maybe a striker signed as a loan to buy. That's my prediction.
Celtic fan. Agreed very harsh decision for the second yellow. However, I saw two Europa league (at best) teams playing each other last night. That’s the sad reality of Scottish football at present.
2:12 that is a foul his arm hits the opponents neck. He wasn't sent off for that. He wasn't yellow carded for that alone. His second yellow was for persistent fouling. This was his 6th foul. Freezing that image is utterly meaningless and is inflaming an already raging mob.
Jefte's elbow did hit the Dynamo man's cheek ! Accept it guys ! It takes seasons for Rangers to recieve red cards in Scotland, perhaps that fact is the reason you are so shell shocked .
Hey CJ , celtic fan, was working yesterday and just got to watch your video and the replays now,, I originally thought , oh here we go complaining about refs but after seeing the replays my god what a mind boggling decision , doesn't help yous but he should never be near a CL again.
It's the same old routine sadly with Yilmaz. Plays a few breaks down and has to rebuild over and over and over. Great wee player when on it, but not robust enough to be reliable
@@rangersnutDo we have any idea what happened to him? I’m honestly quite sad he got injured, I was heading over next week to watch rangers play and now my favourite player is out🤣🤣
Is it true mccausland started and cerny was on the bench. Dunno how I feel about that tbh. Also I think hagi needs to play. If he plays n scores surely teams will want to pay more. You can be stubborn all want but don't turn that into nativity. Honestly thought we'd win tonight. I'm concerned about our future now this result n this will only encourage more negativity. We need the board to allow more spendings towards tranfers. Didn't see the game but I'm concerned for us regarding our future.
Great video mate! I just wanted to say that im still following along after those years ago when I checked stock at that phone shop you work(ed) at! Shame about the game today (Mostly the refereeing). Hope you are well and all the best from a hibs fan! :)
@@johnrolland2185 it’s like the board enjoy paying compensation. So strange. If clement sees Xmas I’d be surprised. I don’t think Beale was a likeable man and a terrible man manager but honestly think I saw more of a style of football. Not sure what this current lot are doing. People saying Kiev not great but in terms of patterns of play and players having an idea of what they are doing they were streets ahead and in the end it showed. 10 men or not
I actually thought they were both yellows in todays game. Jefte was running about like Robbie savage on speed most of the game and the 2nd yellow was maybe harsh but definitely rash. Shame about the 5 million as probably means no new players and possible sales but no way Salzburg would lose to this current squad. I’m at the point where I think we need to create a 3rd rangers and this time concentrate all efforts on youth and not journey men. I still have sleepless nights about how much mess we created when we had all debts cleared and decided we needed to still try and keep up with Celtic in division 3. Crazy doesn’t cover it. Some saying season is over but I honestly think there is a fight for 2nd as hearts look very decent, Aberdeen have a style of play all of a sudden that we don’t. St mirren, Dundee and killie all capable. Worrying times
It’s wreckless and although not an out and out elbow u can see why the ref goes for the yellow. Do think they need refs to be able to look at 2nd yellows on var tho as he may have overturned this one as such an important game and it’s definitely debatable
Because he’d a brought on Scott Wright and you’d moan.
@@TheJoooooker. Lol Matondo would have been the replacement for me but I'd take Wright and another 10 than just 10 anyday.
Totally agree. Could see itcoming. Awful call by the ref though. Crazy that VAR can't clear up this type of error. Scunnered.
We have won only one game in the last 9. Just let that sink in. That is how shite we are.
Think including friendly games and 2 final games last season its 1 win in 10
Surely you're no counting pre-season friendlies? Tbf not counting them doesn't make much better reading, 5 wins from last 14 and that's not counting the defeats to Ajax, Man U and Birmingham and draw with Union Berlin in pre-season
@unclesnakehips6810 fair point but including or excluding fruendlies Rangers appear to have lost the habit of winning games of football.Starting with loss to Motherwell at Ibrox pre split results have been really poor
Your going thru a crap time mate no doubt bout that. Too big a club for it to last too long tho, you'll be back. Birmingham supporter
Clement has to go - this is coming from a Celtic fan and I'm not even joking 🇮🇪🍀
Exactly he would get away with it with a Scottish ref but things are a hole lot different at that level
Totally agree with what you’ve just said the western media and sports are treating them like they’re the victors in everything
I did talk alot about Clement in the video bud and said the red isn't the only reason we lost
Don't worry but mate, Dessers works his arse off and never stops trying 😂 our fan base are a joke when it comes to putting up with dire players.

We need better quality upfront. I think for every goal dessers scored last season his crap link up play is gonna cost us half as many on the counter
Our football club is in a horrible mess. I heard myself and others saying phrases I haven’t heard since 2017 watching Caixinha and Murty.

The club has been run like a basket case and clearly no lessons of 2012 have been learned

Until the red card we were well in the game and you could argue had the better of the chances, butland never touched the ball with his hand before the red card. Was never a yellow card and the ref cost us tonight. No cards for them when they were playing so dirty, the tackle on mccausland didn’t even get a card.

The amount of times that’s happened to teams in Scotland against old firm, that was very enjoyable
Good post ! No one is talking about the stupidity of the Brazillian for being too aggressive and asking the ref. to hand him a silly yellow in the first half.

Clement is to blame for me, everyone saw that the ref gave jefte a last chance and he goes and leaves him on the park, never a foul but he shouldn't have been on the park anyway, Kiev were there for the taking in both matches so you're right CJ
The manager and the players are at fault as well.
And then there's Tav who got run past every time on the wing .
Surely the problem is Clement not taking Jefte off at half time
Yep, if an old head like Lundstram can get sent off, then Clement has to realise Jefte is a young and way less experienced guy. Though I think he will become a fine player for us and that's a learning experience. I would stick with Jefte or Fraser for LB vs Ridvan, as, the wee Turkish fella is to injury prone.
If it wasnt jefte it would have been someone else bud,a bought refs just that !
The biggest problem we have right now is Lawerance at 10, the spaces he leaves in the middle is killing us
The only PLUS out of tonight is not having to watch RB Salzburg destroy us.

@@GrumpyGerno plan b? By putting on Cerny at half time would have been part of the plan but after the sending off what are we have meant to have done. When Soutter is highlighted as one of the successes it shows how poor this team actually are.
Well said brother, Celtic lad here living in Ireland, so disappointed with result tonight for rangers. Keep your head up rangers lads.

As a rangers fan, didn’t watch the game. That’s where I’m at with the club, where I point blank can not be arsed to watch anymore. The club is embarrassing from top to bottom, take me back to when we were an actual challenging and competitive team … 15 years ago.
@@AR-dn6khI remember an empty Parkhead in the ‘80s. Might be the only way to force change at the top
Another Celtic fan here who doesn’t believe it was even a foul.
Because he’s a propper striker in his eyes 👀?
Back to pre- Souness days, to the last knockings of Greig and Wallace's time. Same issues. An incompetent board, managers not up to it or past their best, and a squad full of mediocrity. Clement talks about fitness, yet we still have multiple injuries, still sign half fit players , can't sustain a press for more than 20 minutes. He looked done at the post match presser, and I think he'll be gone before October.
Can't agree m8.Defeat down to clement not taking jefte out the firing line,an accident waiting to happen.Thought butland was awful .
Butland again showed why he's a bench warmer. Both of those were stoppable.
How much is it costing to rent Hampden hope it’s not too much coz we need to replace Butland
Don’t understand why we never just start the match with our strongest 11. That red card was a shocker. But our front 3/4 are just not capable of winning us matches, Dessers losing his head at the fans was very telling.
This is such a good comment..I don't understand why we never start our strongest team either
@@cjnovo992 can’t tell you the last time I seen a starting 11 where an eyebrow wasn’t raised slightly, has to be years honestly 🤣
Frustrating with the refs decision but if we’re being honest we weren’t good enough over 2 legs. That Kyiv team are bang average
Correct.
See i completely disagree with that. Dynamo is a well drilled team scoring 9 v partizan this was always going to be a tough game and when it was 11 vs 11 tonight we looked the better team. For me, I cant blame all the players or the manager but only the ref for the difference between 2 closely matched squads

The guy could have gotten sent of before that says everything about the Scottish reffs
The decision was so bad. So contrary to the rules of football that it can only be one thing. Pure and simple corruption.

Sick to death of this every fuvking game man
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel we're going on a downward spiral, having spent piles on players that don't/can't play, Cerny + Barron only decent signings (and the former is only a loan); meanwhile, we have to field the same frustrating group, 2 of whom are playing out of position, and as such we barely scraped it against an under-strength Motherwell. Champions League?? 😅 We're not even tin-cup Conference material. This old, familiar cycle begins once more , and 99 percent of fans are sick to death of it. It's merely a question of when they're going to start voting with their feet.
There's better players in the lower league's than the dross we have ok the ref was shite but so where we no excuses better team won
Just absolutely deflated, feels like the club is drowning and when a lifeline comes along we can’t grab it
