He saw the ending jumpscare coming and warned my mom not to freak out, but my mom being the chicken shit that she is screamed anyway. lol I don't know if that's a comment on Miller and Cunningham's story telling abilities, or how my dad's just a savant at predicting genre tropes.

There is a "Deluxe Special Edition" DVD release of the movie scheduled for Feb 3 2009 but I don't believe this documentary will be included with that version either. US and Canada fans have never had the opportunity to see this. Thanks for sharing!

It won't happen since the Michael Myers character wasn't created by Paramount/New Line. Paramount sold it's Friday franchise to New Line to do a Freddy Vrs Jason, since Freddy was made by New Line.
Parts 1 and 2 are the best of the series. What makes them work so well isn't just atmosphere, it's the... indescribable _early 80s-ness_ of it all. While parts 3 and 4 round out the series's "golden era", its potency had already started to diminish with 3.

Kramer and Coal Miners Daughter are also on it, .. right BELOW Friday the 13th, .. and THOSE were the big critics favorites of that time! Those critics were no doubt PISSED that THIS movie had surpased THOSE two in box office popularity !
so true.. but Feldman got most of his success in films like The Goonies .... good thing about him though is he ( Corey ) acutally acknowledges that hes been in a Friday The 13th movies ( and a horror movie ) while the others almost never talk about it like its some kind of shame they want to hide .... he actually is proud of it !
why did critics thought it sucked? i mean cmon it was low budget surprisingly successful with what they had, they manage to scare almost every single individual in the audience, amazing special affects with tom savini. and the plot is incredible for a horror movie, what makes the critics think that suck i mean cmon!

There was a study done on film critics.The studied showed that alot of critics dont even see the film they are reviewing.They go by what other critics say.You wonder why these movies get bad reviews but shit like the english patient gets great reviews.Any movie ebert gave a bad review to I would see and 90% of the time it was a really good movie.
