Reading the comments below it might be a good idea to either change the title or put in the description that You had problems with the drive system and knowing that I reckon you did a good job, the deck hand got it wrong but who hasn't.
Charlie was on the whiskey that evening no doubt sir 😃 Do you mind the time we left Kilkeel but had to berth in Ramsey IOM as he was drunk as a Lord? How's Sadie keeping tell her I was asking.
I was on this boat at the stern, the title of this should be changed. Gearbox failure ment we could not stop or use stern gear so had no option, and that was the Ni fisheries and ROI fisheries on board, and yes the deckhand at the bow is a moron 👍🏻
pause @ 1.27 , clearly r.n.l.i or similar on board already, so whats the story then , obviously had a problem, lol @ the deckhand though, putting the final turn on the line after he seen it done.class
who's the guy @ 127sec. looks coastguard or RNLI so wat the f..k he's doing on the boat, was somthing wrong in the first place ???????? i remember this happened the marita ann, in the 80s, he went to go astern and nothing happened '' BANG'' whale back demolished !!! @ muintir how can you blame the crew on this, poor decky with fender must have shit himself. skipper made a bollox of turn, END OF STORY
the engine was stuck in gear he had to stop the engine at some point when you stop the engine you lose a lot of steerage, his problem was he should of had an experienced hand on the foredeck
Should not have had a deckie learner on the bow given that he would be responsible for stopping the boat in an emergency. Skipper should have got a more experienced crewman up there instead.
he should have put the bow and spring on if it was a run out tide and go astern on the lines to spring the stern in or if it was a run in tide he should have put the stern on then gone ahead on it
Without even reading the comments I could see the boat obviously had no reverse as you dont come into the wharf like that and not go astern , Been in situations similar whilst working on and skippering trawlers here in New Zealand, Always a challenge when facing odds like that and a slug deckhand like that doesnt help matters.
My Favourite part is when Mum goes "Ooooh!" when the bag pops. And anyway, its the captains fault for going perpendicular to the pier instead of parallel!
Stuck in gear, had it happen, nobody to blame but decky could of been a bit sharper!
Cleeeeeat. It!!!
Poor teenager on the bow must have been very frightened!

How about slower speed next time?
switch the engine off? also remember to turn off the radar when near people at dock, the beams are highly radioactive and dangerous
when you came round stop the engine and drift in
@@houktanhdanhi2352 You know too little about physics.
Boat name Ability !!!!! ROFL/PMSL how appropriate!!
In my opinion, it’s kind of irresponsible to leave greenhorn alone during such a situation. Just saying.

This is why you should never name your boat with such a name
"Now den Paddy, let's hit the town.."
Well done annabelle for still managing to talk about what to have for dinner, hope u enjoyed the tapas! :)
yeah and i bet u never ever made a mistake

What a useless deckhand on the bow. Get that bow line on boy!!!
The main thing is nobody got hurt apart from some dents and a few scrapes along the key. Shit will always happen when you least want it?
the engine was stuck in gear he had to stop the engine at some point when you stop the engine you lose a lot of steerage, his problem was he should of had an experienced hand on the foredeck
haha thats the kilkeel way of coming alongside!!!tricky698 take it you were at the wheel need i say anymore..stick to the ducks in the bath!!
Not a clue
"Jim, can I have you as a roving fender please mate!"

Should of shut boat down outside harbour and got RNLI to tow you to the quay side . ability more like liability lol
Poor greenhorn haha
Has the bow line guy ever done this before?
that lad on the deck, must have been his first time on a boat.
id say more like a arm chair skipper ha ha ha
he should have put the bow and spring on if it was a run out tide and go astern on the lines to spring the stern in or if it was a run in tide he should have put the stern on then gone ahead on it
I can do the same (stand & look), would you like to give me a job too ?
Was that Ability. Or stupidity
fuck sake a crew that knows what to do
Deckie Learner perhaps. The less said about Father the better.
Đây mới gọi la tâu ca chư (thép tuyệt voi phai không các ban)
