Yep, Stiles was definantly the mother of the pack. This sums up his role perfectly. LOL! Love him. He was the best character on this show, followed closely by Lydia.
I love that Stiles is the only one who doesn’t have any powers, and yet he still leads everyone. Scott and Stiles are equals. Scott might be the “alpha” but Stiles leads everyone just as much and half the time he’s taking care of Scott too.
The sad reality of it is, is that he obviously lost his mum so it's had an affect on him and now he feels like everything is now his responsibility, which is why he probably acts mostly like the mum of the group because he might have had to grow up the fastest, especially because he wants to help and take care of his dad as well as the people around him...
Also probably the fact he definitely had to watch his mother turn into a stranger literally in front of him. Dementia isn't a quick death, for anyone involved. I bet he probably does whatever he can now to help the people he cares about, because he was likely feeling completely helpless having to watch his mother (the one who created him and brought him into the world, and the show seems to have implied he was more attached to her as a child) disappear right in front of his eyes, with no way to stop it. Also her beliefs he was trying to kill her and physically attacking him because of it, when she had deteriorated far at that point, barely, if ever, lucid enough to know who he was. He was a young kid, and they show he still is affected by certain things she said to him, in her deteriorated state. I genuinely cannot imagine watching my mom disappear in front of me, especially as a little kid, who probably couldn't completely understand why my mom seemed to want me dead. I feel nothing but sympathy and condolences to those who've had to go through that with a family member. It would also explain his extreme hypervigilantes about his dad's health. He doesn't want to lose the only parent he's got left, and he can actually do something this time to avoid his father's early death, by doing what he can to make sure his dad's health is okay. Also he seems to also carried Scott's inhaler around even after Scott got turned. Despite the fact he wouldn't have known (at this point in the show) that being turned, would completely make Scott's asthma disappear, he stayed prepared always I'm case it didn't. Likely also because he knew Scott himself wouldn't, and if he could do anything if that dangerous day did come to fruition, he'd be able to help his best friend, since he kept the inhaler on him constantly, just in case. I feel like my comment is written in circles, and probably confusing, and just restating the same point over and over, but my brain is too scrambled at the moment to fix it, so I'm sorry if it's hard to read. But yeah, Stiles is great!

Like imagine a trio of Moms who are more capable then most (not all but some) parents to not only handle almost all the problems that a parents have with their children but not what they get from a parenting seminar.. Stiles is the best character in Teen Wolf by far. He was the perfect blend of sarcasm, courage, humour and darkness. Dylan O'Brien played him so well and deserved every award for his performance.

This is why s6 B was a good plot but not the best execution. Stiles was the pack mom. Him AND Scott were sort of the heart of the show. S6 A was great bc it still had him even if it wasn’t on every scene. It was about his bond with people. S6 B just needed him. I genuinely liked the idea of the season, the whole thing going full circle and all. But it lacked what made the show work before :(
Alpha, beta, omega its good!! The entire 6A and 6B are better than s5 lmao. It’s satisfying seen some things go full circle, and Dylan does appear as Stiles at the last moments. It would have been in my opinion one of the best seasons in total if they did have Stiles in the second part. Because plot wise it was good. The focus on the show had been on certain relationships like Stiles and Scott for so long that it just felt off without Stiles for so long. But i do recommend watching it.
