River Farigaig (Inverness)

  • Some raw footage of kayaking the fantastic river Farigaig near Inverness from a run with Murray Peden last year.
    This a great river with some good low volume falls and slides. Loads of tight technical grade 4/5 on clean bedrock. Footage is from the main waterfall section which is about 3km long. Below here is a steep bouldery gorge down to Loch Ness that is entertaining and very scenic, but usually choked with trees.
    This run holds water surprisingly well for it's size and deserves to be run more often. A real test piece of the loch Ness area!

      @@MatthewBrookKayaking cheers Matthew! To be honest I've got hours of GoPro footage I've done nothing with sitting on my laptop so was just sticking them on TH-cam to back them up online.
      There's also not much footage of a lot of Northern Scottish runs and it's nice to show off some of the great rivers we've got up here. Glad you're enjoying them!
