      US high school is the equivalent to UK college/sixth form, and US college is the same as UK university level. So you won't have covered this in high school (GCSE year) but if you did physics or engineering at college (A Levels) you'd do it then. If that makes sense :)

      @xkristyngx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      @@WhisperAudiosASMR maybe it’s a different system, but i live in Hong Kong, and here it is really competitive. U learn grade 2 things in Grade 1. Education systems here are always trying to push students. Just wanted to say this not to brag. But here acceleratation and force is a very basic topic u learn in high school.

  • @jon8304
    @jon8304 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Oh boy this takes me back. My statics and dynamics professor (same guy for both) was a nightmare. Not that the subject matter was hard, but he ran those classes like a drill instructor. In his syllabus he dedicated two single space pages detailing how we were to prepare our assignments, specifying exactly where to write problem numbers, diagrams, our names etc. Even specifically how to staple your pages. If anything was formatted wrong, your assignment was a zero. If he could see something wrong at a glance he'd throw your assignment away in front of everyone when you handed it in. We also weren't allowed to use numbers in our solutions. We had to give entirely symbolic solutions for everything with full working out. Which is good technique, but when you're solving for all forces in a 15 member truss by hand it's a little much.

    I love this series of videos. I have a kind of traumatic association with my high school phase of life. I wasnt able to do my best due to emotional /situational issues. Whenever I have to look back on it or see content that somehow relates to it I get a really weird sensation in my chest and it disregulates me. It is very comforting, calming and even therapeutic to listen to your videos explaning stuff. Also the organized way in which you do it and the whole application environment is very pleasing 😊😊

    By the time I started my masters degree, I told my professors that I refused to solve a problem in imperial units. I'd convert the given imperial values to metric, solve the problem in metric, then convert back to imperial at the end. The main confusion came with slugs vs pound-mass vs pound-force. In cases where I messed up the conversion at the beginning or the end, they could still easily see if I worked the problem correctly otherwise.

    • @maximum_75

The problem is that not with all schools, usually the education system in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Brazil is really difficult compared to Canada or US but only in some schools. Some other schools are really bad speaking of education in LATAM, usually public schools (not all).
