I remember as a kid going to visit a potter with my mother , the potter asked me if i wanted to throw some bowl myself , to which i answered "sure , where are the balls and gloves" , thinking he wanted to take a break " . He told me "No no, not balls, Bowls" pointing at the ones on the shelves" to which i answered "but why throw them , they are so pretty" . To this day it makes me laugh , but not as much as my mother, she was in tears and so was the potter ! We all learn new words every day. But for me potters are always associated with that very funny childhood memory .
