I would love to hear Marc ask Chris about his great role on Schitt's Creek as well. I am glad that David Letterman has opened up his vault and is putting so much of his old stuff on TH-cam. I didn't get into Dave til the late 80s and missed a lot of Chris Elliot's brilliant stuff like "the guy under the stage" and other recurring roles. Chris is a comedy legend and his daughter Abby is pretty funny too.
This is from 2014. Always loved Chris Elliott. I always felt he was just below professional and amateurish which was part of his charm in a way. However whatever he did worked and his character acting was brilliant. Some of the funniest tv I've ever seen.
Didn't know his father was part of a comedy duo. In retrospect, especially in those early Letterman appearances, you can tell that comedy is in his DNA
*Eastside Low Bottoms shit !* I remember watching and liking Get A Life. I don't recall much but off the top of my head, i always remember him either being hit by a car or being repeatedly ran over by one. But what was so funny (to me) about it was it was obviously a dummy. Still memorable tho. The days of Get A Life and Parker Lewis Can't Lose...
I grew up watching my dad's vhs recordings of Get a Life, really fueled me. The Tim Burton film Cabin Boy has always been one of my favorites. It's an acquired taste but one that's worth it.
That's it. That's why Louie had to come down. He's the biggest representative of comedy today for the public, comedy being one of the last bastions of free thought and speech. Insidious.
I am a hard-core fan of Chris Elliott original David Letterman introduction to me I really loved this interview learned a lot about him and his family
*Chris Elliott is seriously underrated & overlooked!*💯👏👏👏
#CB4!

It's great the way he embraced his whole family tradition. Chris is one of the greats.

1:23:50 - wait ... so he has a cabin in Maine? So he IS a cabin boy. I KNEW IT!
Next thing you know he’s on Schitts Creek doing fantastic
The Cabin Boy is now a Cabin Man!
If David Letterman is in your film, it must be special... he's only in like 2 movies, and the other is Man on the Moon.
Chris Elliot’s Bananas song is his masterpiece
Didn't know his father was part of a comedy duo. In retrospect, especially in those early Letterman appearances, you can tell that comedy is in his DNA
Chris Elliot is classic
The guy in the audience or under the stairs was pretty funny
He looks like the pitcher for Arizona at the 2023 World Series!!

Handsome Boy Modeling School!
Tim Burton didn’t direct Cabin Boy. Adam Resnick did.
MARC: "What I did -- because I'm a five year old..."
hahahahahaha
Chris Elliot always been a FAVORITE....
dude if water comes out of your cabinets from a backed up gutter, you might be looking at mold problems behind your walls

The federal reserve bank is a private institution,
Marc was 100% correct on how he pushed back on Jim's downplaying of his own accomplishment. He was not being a dick, he was helping.
Chris comes on right after the sex toy commercial....how appropriately comedic.
Confusing movie dude - hell of a form of ammo.
I'm hip to your ladder secrets...medicine for acrobats...Cheers!

I am reminded that Marc is unfunny and insufferable as an interviewer. Peace out.
