    Among all the great SNL performers , this guy is my favorite. I am partial to the ones who do strong impressions. There are many great ones, he just gave me the most laughs. Much appreciated.

      Me tooo! His compassion shines thru.
      It’s hard to believe he grew up with a father like trump & he came out nothing like the guy.
      I often see trumps children as hostages but yet Dana went his own way.

    Great talk Marc.
    Hey Dana, I had exact relationship with my dad. I knew he hated me. I wasn’t sad when he died, and ‘relieved’, perfect word
    Last time I saw my dad, he wasn’t “himself” I told him I forgave him and he could pass, he died that night at 3am
    IM NOT ALONE or bad to say that , thanks again Marc & Dana

    Dana said before SNL he had not been on TV before, but I remember a sketch show on Nickelodeon called Turkey Television that used bits of his stand-up. Was super excited to see him on SNL because his routines on the otherwise forgettable Nick show were funny and memorable. I wonder if he realized that the bits were used. That was 1985.

    One bit of constructive feedback, Mr. Maron: Please let your guest finish their answers. You often ask a question, and when the guest starts to give what promises to be a really interesting answer, you cut them off. You have some of the most interesting guests, so let them finish!!

    Marc Maron just rubs people the wrong way. Listening to him interview someone for 90 minutes, all the while doing his little "oh yeah? wow. then what happend? he still alive?" thing, looking for stories or situations of people in decline so he can feel better about himself, is so sleazy. He is clearly a narcissist who thinks he is the most interesting person in the world.

    • @korokshiding
      @korokshiding 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ever wondered if you could be projecting there? I don't pick up any sense of Marc being disingenuous or sleazy. His forthright and frank interviewing style can come off unfriendly initially, but once you've gotten used to that it's obvious to me that he's a sensitive guy who really puts effort into cultivating a good rapport with his guests and ensuring that the podcasts are high quality.

    How irritating are they here? Oh, Whitney and Nora were there. They are referring to Whitney Brown and Nora Dunn, but of course, I have no doubt that there are people listening who have no idea who they're talking about and they drop names like this all thru the interview. I always liked Dana Carvey, but give me a break. Not to mention, this interview is flat. I've heard about 3 Maron interviews and if you are a comedian that wants to sound dull, by all means, go on Maron.
    Also, show me a president who isn't a narcissist? Frankly, I'd much rather have a POTUS who comes right out and says, "I did it and I'm taking credit", than one who pretends to be noble and humble, while taking credit in private, which Hillary would have done everyday as president. She has one personality for the public and another in private. Just ask the Secret Service who hate her with a capitol Hate. So much so that if you got in trouble, your punishment was to be assigned to her. Do people actually believe that trash these politicians read off the teleprompter. Trump may be abrasive and full of himself, but he says what's on his mind without filters. He's just being natural, rather than fake and telling people what they want to hear, but it seems on the left, that's just what makes them all warm and fuzzy. Hearing exactly what they want all PC'd up and run thru 10 filters before it's said in public. Everything Obama said was calculated and reviewed, then said word for word. Trump just wakes up at 3 am and fires off a tweet like anyone else and proves he's human. Maybe if the media gave him credit for anything, like doing his job, which he does very well, he wouldn't have to say it on twitter. Record setting employment, Double the GDP of Obama, tough policies on immigration (and no matter what you see in the media, most Americans don't want millions crossing the border), EO's to empower minorities, the list goes on and on, but the public hears very little about it. I didn't like Trump before the election, but today, I would vote for him in a minute because he's doing the job he was elected to do.
    My apologies for injecting politics here. I just don't think it's fair to single out Trump as a narcissist as if he's the only one.
