I've had these pickups for more than a year now. I cannot say enough about them. My Tele is my least expensive guitar. With Greg's pickups installed, it's become my favorite guitar. I charge them once a month or so, but have never come close to running the battery empty. My only advice to Fishman - make the neck connecting wire longer. It's a bit short for convenience sake.
Just picked these up and I'm in love with the bridge pickup... and the system in general. I'm less inspired by the neck pickup. It has a much lower output (even close to the strings) and is generally "dull" in tone. Middle position is just so-so, as a result. Overall, the sterling bridge pickup makes it a good move, in my opinion.
Brought to you by the man who never met a guitar he didn't love! Honestly though, these pickups do sound pretty nice. Expert pitch man makes them sound even better! He even got me to buy an Epiphone Plus Top Pro (really - look it up pre-toboggan days)...
I've just gotten a Reverend Black Custom Neck Profile edition of the his Signature Gristlemaster. These pickups are the best you can get for your Telecaster. I've found they are well balanced, completely noiseless and really deliver the sounds he demonstrates. Face it folks, if he was involved in the testing and development of these pickups and then put his name on them? Sold.
@@YesuAiNimen thanks for asking. it has a 'beefer' profile than the standard reverend profile. since i don't have any fenders or gibsons to compare it to, i have to say it's closer to my PRS Core Santana profile. the roasted maple neck is very well finished and feels great to the hand the entire fretboard...at least mine does.
I just traded for a 1988 American Standard that has these in it. I literally just got home with it and found a proper charging cable. Can't wait to clean this old 88 up and dig in!
This seems like Voice 1 is just Voice 2 with some output signal cut. What exactly does the battery power: noise canceling? EQ? What happens if the battery runs out, is the guitar still usable? Do you only lose the enhancements or do you get no signal at all?
I REALLY wish they would implement the charging jack input thingy into other sets, really annoying that i literally cant fit a fishman set to my LTD AW-7 because i have to remove the pickguard to change the 9 volt every single time
Interesting, i really wanted to get the pickups alongside a re-chargable batterypack, but i`m not sure the pack would fit anywhere, then i saw that Keith Merrow had the charging port in the jack input aswell, so was hoping that his sig set would come with that
6 MONTHS have passed since I ordered the pickups and the still can't ship them. Sorry Fishman but this is NOT what I expect. I wanted to buy more of your pickups for other builds that I'm on but when availability is that bad I switch to my trustworthy Dimarzios again. Wanted to give you a try because so far I liked the pickups a lot but if you guys are not able to send out the products and my builds are stuck because of that it doesn't make any sense.
im thinking about throwing a set of Fluence Modern Alnico in a Solar E1.6 ETC...im not having a good time with my Boss Katana 100 112...cant combine it with my Seymour Duncan Blackouts...and they are not bad pickups...can do the Judas Priest and Metallica stuff great...but can't play decent death metal tones with them...and is the amp's fault :/
well brother just keep purchasing one magical tone element after the nother and when yalls get there will only discover that there is yet one more magical purchase to make in search of the magic tone that without fail, fails to deliver that all elusive magical tone that doesn't actually exist.
If Greg Koch is no way of Greg Koch Amps then why is it on UTobe Vid . And him talking about his amp. Can you tell me that. And his Pickups . So if I missed something there tell me . IN tell then . TroyFrost / Troyster .
Greg Koch " I Watch you on UTobe all the time to me you are a Alsome Guitar player . Just like Jemey Hendrix I like your style of playing . I would like to buy a Koch amp one day they sound great . thanks TroyFrost Troyster 👍 🤘 ON 🎸 🎸🎵 🎵
Koch is associated with Koch amps because of his signature amp, “The Greg”. He’s not part of the company, he’s just been consulted in their design for the amp.
Anyone done an A/B comparison between these and bog standard pickups? That would be more useful than the guy who's paid to promote them promoting them.
And who ever this is sending me Tex message back too me Can quit with it . Don't send NO more TEX MESSAGE BACK TO ME IN MY GMAIL' . NO More . TroyFrost / Troyster
What a talent. Virtuoso-level chops, and he's quick with the crowd, what a set of gifts.
I could listen to Greg play, and talk all day!

How do you charge them? Just plug them in the wall using a usb adapter?
@@traviscrown9189yes, there is a micro usb port in the output jack area
These do seem really good, and makes 'active' no longer a dirty word when talking pickups. I like that it's a whole kit with the wiring and charger.
People!!
This is coming from one of the FINEST pickers that has ever been heard !!
This musician knows of that which he speaks!!!🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Greg is a national treasure.
25 years I played guitars, 2:29 I finally knew how that sound is made.
Same here
Wow... I'm from the Boston area I never knew the Fishman Headquarters was in Andover.

3:52 how does he get that sound wow
Tele The perfect all purpose guitar ! These Pic-Ups sound really nice ! On my list now . Great playing as always Greg !
I love mine!!! Due to these, I’ve equipped My LP w the Classic Humbuckers and another tele with the P90’ies

so, tell us about that neck profile...is it chunky? I've been thinking about selling a few guitars to get one but I'm curious about that neck.

@@spyderlogan4992 sounds nice! Thanks for the reply. I may have to get one now!

Great salesman, awesome player. Would be cool to see John 5 playing this set and have his reactions filmed.
This man, he even blows my mind with a easy demo. what a tone
If tone was chocolate, I’d be overweight just by watching this.

Hi, where can I buy one of those on-off push buttons ? I need it for my Strat. Thanks.
Greg's signature pickups should probably be called 'Fat Kock' or 'Girth Gristle' or 'Conflated Nubian Greg Kock Window 7'.
lololol
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Now that;s funny right there, I don't care who ya are....lol
Koch Gristle
hahahah
Savage Magentic Demons of the Night!
Would it possible to pair a Fishman Fluence Modern (humbucker) with the Fishman Koch neck pickup ? Thanks !
I beg of you to have a humbucker single coil pickup set made for the telecaster I’d buy it today
I’ve seen this . He has a lot of videos and the Koch guitars are pretty good
Reverend
Can gristle be added to a Thinline?
I need to learn that riff he plays at 3.40. Does anyone have any ideas where i can find tabs for that kinda stuff??
I REALLY wish they would implement the charging jack input thingy into other sets, really annoying that i literally cant fit a fishman set to my LTD AW-7 because i have to remove the pickguard to change the 9 volt every single time
Jone C Hoftun we have a bunch of Universal units for sale that fit your guitar. Every guitar is differnt and fishman has one that fits your needs
Interesting, i really wanted to get the pickups alongside a re-chargable batterypack, but i`m not sure the pack would fit anywhere, then i saw that Keith Merrow had the charging port in the jack input aswell, so was hoping that his sig set would come with that
Nice demo, very impressed!
Does the guitar have a foot switch for the boost?
It's a neat bit of kit, I must say.
Ah yes the molten Hot Rock! Who would have thunk it! You are the man!
Sure do love my Gristle Tone pickups.
Why didn´t you put a link to your website?
The white guard black guard difference should be a bit better ,now it sounds almost useless , it's done better on start version
Ahh.. Fisherman Flatulence on the breeze. It is funky.
Is it possible to do the " Bill Kirchen " mod, where you flip the control plate with these pickups?
I don’t know ut that would be cool. Be nice to have the pots closer to the fingers.
3:55 lol...such a funny face for the next five seconds.
Thanks, Cool, bought them, swapped them in...really sound phenomenal! ( neck pick tilts a little bit though, is that an issue?)
Voice 2 sounds awesome
Need to try that set :-)
Not only a great player but he's good at esplainin' things as Ricky Ricardo would say.
I wonder what gauge string he uses to do bends like that
I bet its no lighter than 10...dude is one huge bear
Just saw him at long and McQuade last night and said he uses 10’s......
Yo Greg! You from Massachusetts?

I love the Koch.
gay for Koch?
I think friends and family should get a special deal.
It sounds like a boost.

3.51????? unexplained mystery of the universe
super duper rad
My god
This is what the chicks on the dance floor have been lusting for since time began ... a button that turns night into day!
The Flishmans 🤣
love this player but those sound not very impressive

They're *his* signature pickups. You're acting like he's just some rando paid spokesperson.
It would be cool for kotzen to switch to fishman and do a sig set.
It's very expensive... 350€ 😢😢😢
don't work very well on playing the same 3 strings play the whole neck
So in other words... it goes to 11

Why someone want to make sound wormer on low strings? Stupid...
Well excuse me for my mistakes . TroyFrost / Troyster.
👎 well sorry . TroyFrost Troyster .
