After owning 2 Braun series 9 razors and replacing the blades ($100 a pop) twice each (they get dull quickly) I bought a Panasonic ARC5. So far it is much quieter, gives a much closer shave and the blades seem to last longer than the Braun. I've been a Braun shaver user for over 20 years, but after trying the ARC5, no more Braun shavers for m.
Bang on mate, I've had Panny razors for a decade now, got the right old hump with the cost of replacement foils and cutter blades, availability. Got an LV65 right now, and same difference - 60 odd quid for a new pack, vs 85 quid to buy a whole new razor. That's mental oriental. So I'm going Braun too. Also side-note, in China, the chinese burn is called 'spicy'. My mrs said.
@@geezerintotech Will do, pal. Here in the U.S. it was called the Indian Burn, but now, of course, it's the 'native American burn'. We played one of those rock-scissors-paper games in school, and the loser got 'burned'. That was me, more often than not so I wimped out. Nicked myself shaving yesterday with a blade razor, got bits of blood in the bathroom - great ammo for cajoling the missus into letting me spend money on a snazzy new electric razor. The Series 9 pro is great so I would imagine any Series 9 will be great too. Give the Arc 6 a spin, it is suppose to be much easier on the skin. You won't go wrong with a Braun, but if you can get a closer shave without irritation, it could work.
I have the Panasonic arc5 and its like a wet blade shave but it irritates my skin because i have a very sensitive skin. Im thinking to switch to Panasonic
aHAHAHAHA Bro too funny!! i was laughing through out the whole video..........yea tried the Panasonic it destroyed my skin.....returned it...have the old braun series 7 its significantly better
My arc 5 lasted about 2 to 3 years, just got a braun 7, doesn't give any occasional red spots on my neck. Also the trimmer on the arc 5 is basic as fuck. The brauns accessories well make up for a razer thin potentially marking shave. Also the braun isn't as fat, and it's not worth it to get the charging dock for the arc 5, hated that plastic waste basket, cleaning it under the tap is 10 times better.
I have the Braun series 7 and I want the arc 5 cause I want the closest shave possible. Like baby skin. Everytime I use the braun 7, the next day I still get stubble? And yes I change my blades too. So should I get the arc 5 now?
@@Nattymatty7 no TRUST ME you don't want the arc 5, it will fuck up your skin, and your skin doesn't feel as soft as with the braun 7. Take it from someone who used it for 3 years BEFORE IT BROKE. Not to mention there's no swappable blades. And the trimmer on the arc 5? Only good for minimal applications like side burns. I'd take the braun 7 blades over a trash trimmer and skin suffocating blade any day of the week. AND the braun is slimmer, AND has a sensor which the arc 5 doesn't have, AND it's much cheaper.

Great review! I found the 7-Series way too noisy and vibratey! Also, getting the head off is a PITA, and it is cheap plastic.
