Yes... But we do in other process... We make dough in a pan on gas... Then shape in very small balls and put in boiled milk. It's yummy... 👌

In UP we call it "Doodh goli" quite literally.
When made in form of podi and cooked same way "doodh poodi". Add badam and cashew as well, only doodh is used no water.

It became a very sticky dough help! I can't make balls 😞 why do we add water in batches, does it mean full 1.5 cups of water is not used and I should stop at some point before that?
