I needed to upgrade something I dont think 4 set of Infantry is worth it for me and 6 set would make me replace my procked hope cloak so I crafted shios and got special talant.. Infantry sett bonus 10% MS is what you will get if you want better stats you go actually for Shios Sacred Grips and go for special talant on them instead of going for inf set because seth brutality and frost treds both have same stats without a talant. If you are not going to replace Hope cloak or etternal night you just dont go for Inf set boots or hands because your 2 pieces will be shield and helmet of etternal empire.
I disagree with shield of etternal empire I rather get it and have it just for Rallys and Garissons, because other set pieces for Infantry are even worse in stat gain.

Honestly it’s almost worth crafting legendary now. They made mats easier to get, epic blueprints WAY harder to get, and refining sucks now. Unless you spend LOTS of gems in one of the equipment events, blueprints are replaced by crystal keys in f2p events now

I agree with almost everything you say, with the exception of the Shield of the Eternal Empire. Part of the issue here is that infantry are a very confusing bunch. Many boost defense and health (e.g., Richard, Sun Tzu, Charles Martel, Constantine, Leonidas, Pakal), while other boost attack (Guan, Alex, Harald). Given that you typically one care about a 2 or 4 pc eternal empire set (the 6pc set is just trash, clearly you want hope cloak and karuak humility), the shield of the eternal empire actually offers the most benefits to a 2pc set with certain combinations. For example, with Alex + YSG in KVK2 or KVK3 (sort of the premiere march in those KVKs), you do better with the shield of the eternal empire. With Guan + Leo in SoC, you do better with the Shield of the Eternal Empire. But, with Guan + Alex (a very popular SoC march), you do better with the Gatekeeper's shield and either the set boots or set gloves. Now, one might argue that it isn't worth the materials to get a .75% or 1% edge, and that is a fair point. But, I've also found that Frost Treads are often better to be replaced by Scarlett Hounds on certain infantry marches (Guan + Leo is one), which saves some materials that offset the legendary shield cost somewhat. Anyway, infantry are confusing. Gear on archers and cavs is a lot more straightforward.
If you don't max crystal tech you do need some attk stats in your gear. Most people don't realize that and only listen to the youtubers saying go for health and defense but fail to say IF you have max/crystal tech. Otherwise your just gonna take all the damage and have a huge hospital bill cuz your not dealing damage just taking it.
Exactly, I still prefer the special talanted skura over the blue shield just bc I don't really get so much attack from Crystal tech anyways and the difference is 6.5%, I still go for defense and health over attack tho when it's a close call.

Ian’s choice: If you get 2 pieces from legendary set to get the 2 piece set bonus (Weapon and chest piece) and Also want to get the 2 piece set bonus from the epic set (Helm and legs), then Adding flame threads and Ian’s choice for gloves, is the single best option. Shio return is a difficult one. Getting talented frost boots takes quite some time to get, but is a very good budget option. But shio return is easy to obtain early on and It’s also one of the few items that’s fairly easy to talent over time because the blueprints are easy to get free or at low cost. With shio boots when you are playing some longer time, you have the choice at some point to talent it (average 60 legendary materials) while the frost boots can’t improve further. I think early game crafting shio is totally reasonable and late game talent it. Especially if u use several infantry marches and can’t get multiple frost boots talented, having 1 march use the talent frosts and the other the shio is a very common and reasonable choice. Shield of eternal empire for f2p or low spenders is not worth it. But for mid to high spenders, if players want to use Hope cloak, kuruak humility (best items for those slots) and get the 10% march speed from 4 set bonus, they must get this weapon. 10% march speed is exceptionally good on certain infantery marches who lack mobility.
I remember getting shion boots and SL armor a day before they reworked the equipment giving back the mats and changing it from 5 to 4 mats and after the rework i got like 50% mats used for them back so i do and do not regret it After watching the whole video, yh in short all old legendary equipment are mostly bad, the newer ones, legendary and epic, are either part of sets and easier to get and the epics are on par with the old ones

You don't have to forge TotLK. It's forged when you buy it. Works as a decent piece on a 3rd or 4th march so you can build purples or other cav equipment.
Great video. And although I agree with nearly all of it, I have to say that there is 1 more use for the legendary shield. I made a 4 piece set with the shield, helm, gloves and boots for infantry. March speed is sooo important for altars and ruins, because you need to refresh troops as fast as possible. I have 3 infantry sets but only 1 legendary shield for the march speed alone. Since kvk 3 you can get really good use for it. (Guan is a turtle usually that set is on him starting on SoC). With the rest of equipment you’re 100% accurate.
I did craft Shio (before seeing these two videos), and I'm okay with it. I've got it as the only Legendary (so far) on Trajan, leading a mixed troops march with Aethel as secondary. The clock is ticking on our next kvk, we'll see how it does there. (low-mid spender).
Weapon is not bad , it depends on the commander you are using for example on guan/alex the blue shield is better ,but in case of guan/leo set weapon is far better.
@@OmniarchOfficial the difference will be in the march speed , the 4 pieces set bonus that gives 10% march speed is really important and good for guan leo (since you will lose the march speed from alex) and yes it's expensive , but they are good that's why they are expensive , and it won't take a player long until he gather enough materials to craft it (in my case i crafterd 7 legendaries in 1 and half kvk) and you always need to get the best gear on your main march.
Well, I did the legendary shield for guan Leo, I do have Set helmet too and the 3% defence Set Bonus.The fabuki too and the blue shield. Im switching it depending on scenario. But u are right! Im playing since 3 years and did have enough time to craft it. For all the New players or f2p you are completly correct talented epics are strenger than they appier. Gives u simular or better stats than some legenderys, those scroll blue prints that give attack. Its kinda garbage noone should go for it.
I did shios when we got this Gear meta, reason was simple: many easy ways to get the blueprint and I already had 3 in inventory due to kvk store. I knew I was ultimately going for talent so for me (as higher spender) it was a great option at that time (before they added many spend gems get blueprints events) and still is good value
So thankful we get the revival set Ive got 3 shadow legions retribution prints just sitting here doing nothing too. Cant even trade them for shop credits. Got 3 Commanders boots as well. L O L at your 5% experience gain thing you brought up. Good point. Just need to craft these as soon as you start your account...somehow and power level your commanders ;) It seems since the last time they tweaked the equipment stuff its very hard to get useful purple prints? I disagree with the trial of the lost kingdom. If you add up the time it takes to craft materials and the it cost if you were to buy them from vip shop. Also getting the blueprints to crit heart of the saint. It’ll take about $240. You can buy the trail and be done with it. Use materials on another legendary piece and move on. Just my opinion. Time and money saved ;)
Should I go for Shio's Return ? Because getting Sturdy Boots of Eternal Empire is WAY TOO difficult to get and I have iconic crystal where I can add +3 health.

for 99.999% of players the best equipments are the ones they can get their hands on..... i mean..i grind casually for past 15 months, only getting 27 fragments , for shio's return its easier yet u still need to rank high in lost canyon for some weeks to buy, lucerne's scroll gives like once per 2 months... the problem is i have a fk tons of materials but no blueprints whatsoever....so ofc im gonna craft this just for the sake of their tier...

I used to play this everyday but it’s taking so long to get good materials and max legendary commanders I’m always behind on the Meta I’m finally getting bored of the game, kvk doesn’t excite me no more as I’m F2P
I love the idea of a (Best gear for the most value) but it might be more beneficial if there are multiple variably in depth for each troop type * I would even be interested in farmer gear* Note I'm personally dog water when it comes to keeping up with farmers so I would like to get more for my time i spend and it would help others long term that are F2P. I don't like to involve other streamers on comments for others channels but Chisgule has good break down videos but *honestly* I don't know if I'm the only one but he is so almost vague with his videos I almost need someone to break things down (Barnie style) for me. I really enjoy Omnicarch explains things it is a lot more honest and with chisgule i feel like he refuses to say anything negative because he has lilith breathing down his neck
one thing I wholeheartedly disagree with is the notion that attack bonus on gear is somehow a bad thing. does it make marches less tanky? sure. but it absolutely has its place in the game. especially when you consider the different scenarios you might want to use the equipment in (open-field, rally, garrison, aoo/ol, canyon, etc.). for example, I prefer to use the fubuki over the shield (both talented), as some inf commanders definitely can use the attack bonus.
I agree. I went back to kvk2 with all legendary cav gear that gives health, and the epic talented weapon that gives defense, and my Saladin got horrible trades. I was lacking so much in attack and was basically a non-factor on the field with that march.
This is assuming you're in Season of Conquest, which most end-game players are, because the research gives a ton of attack points. If you go back to kvk2 for example, attack points are more valuable.
Tbh the best thing about some of these legendary patterns is that U get that bundle for the mats 😅 btw this is for whales but shios isn't that bad just because it is the easiest to proc because U get way too many.
The set bonus on 4 type on infantry set is good march speed for F2p infantry they can do 4 set bonus shield , helm , gloves , boots and addition of hope cloak , enternal night This is the best gear for infantry for F2P maximum. Kvk weapon is too much for f2p
I would say this isn't F2P realistic however very effective and very fast when paired with 2 windswept, wind scars, and either march speed flag or moras web for cav slow down
I have an unpopular opinion. I don’t like games with equipment systems based on Rare items. And then that’s why I was down why I don’t play call of duty zombies. and then gets into why I think left 4 Dead is the only good zombie game and and then people say oh what about the last of us and then I say it’s trash and then people get mad at me. And I think you see where this is going.
eternight night is better on commander that have many health boost/stat.. like Pakal/Harald, they need defense stat cuz firstly harald 3rd skill reduces 5% of their defense and Pakal has 30% health stat so to balance it out you need to stack up the defense for better tradeoff
How is 20% attack worst than 10.5% healt really? Its like 9.5% more. I know healt is better for inf, but 9,5% bro.. thats should give you better trades am i wrong?
I don't disagree that the Infa shield is a massive use of materials, but the legs and chest from the infa set are SO bad that there's no other way to get the 4-piece march speed. You'd be choosing to NOT craft the Hope Cloak or the Eternal Night for defence, and instead spending 60 gold materials on 11% attack. The extra 30 mats for another 9% attack on the shield is a big investment but is the cheapest 9% gold-stats I think that's out there
Hmmm this might be the case, but I was making this video from the lens of an average player. Most players won’t ever craft a 4-piece legendary set, but a 2-piece set bonus is very possible
U don't craft shios for the .5 percent u craft it to try and get the talent if u can't get the set boots like me and honestly in this day any little bit of Stat boost I will take

Dude, that isnt how Trial of the Lost Kingdom works. You just get the gear in the VIP chest, not the blueprint. You don't need to forge it.

I use shield of E. on my Trajan. That's actually working good. It's one of 3 legendary eq I could get from this game :'(

i mean..i grind casually for past 15 months, only getting 27 fragments , for shio's return its easier yet u still need to rank high in lost canyon for some weeks to buy, lucerne's scroll gives like once per 2 months...
the problem is i have a fk tons of materials but no blueprints whatsoever....so ofc im gonna craft this just for the sake of their tier...

I don't think you're right about these items. Most of them are for mixed troops. I believe all items have benefits for different scenarios

I love the idea of a (Best gear for the most value) but it might be more beneficial if there are multiple variably in depth for each troop type * I would even be interested in farmer gear* Note I'm personally dog water when it comes to keeping up with farmers so I would like to get more for my time i spend and it would help others long term that are F2P. I don't like to involve other streamers on comments for others channels but Chisgule has good break down videos but *honestly* I don't know if I'm the only one but he is so almost vague with his videos I almost need someone to break things down (Barnie style) for me. I really enjoy Omnicarch explains things it is a lot more honest and with chisgule i feel like he refuses to say anything negative because he has lilith breathing down his neck

Shio is bad when you don't have it talented
one thing I wholeheartedly disagree with is the notion that attack bonus on gear is somehow a bad thing. does it make marches less tanky? sure. but it absolutely has its place in the game. especially when you consider the different scenarios you might want to use the equipment in (open-field, rally, garrison, aoo/ol, canyon, etc.). for example, I prefer to use the fubuki over the shield (both talented), as some inf commanders definitely can use the attack bonus.
I agree. I went back to kvk2 with all legendary cav gear that gives health, and the epic talented weapon that gives defense, and my Saladin got horrible trades. I was lacking so much in attack and was basically a non-factor on the field with that march.
Obviously this is for soc. Attack is terrible to have since all the new tech is only for attack….
This is assuming you're in Season of Conquest, which most end-game players are, because the research gives a ton of attack points. If you go back to kvk2 for example, attack points are more valuable.
@@MagaMan. kvk2 doesn't have kvk tech so you get much more value out of attack items there :)

Tbh the best thing about some of these legendary patterns is that U get that bundle for the mats 😅 btw this is for whales but shios isn't that bad just because it is the easiest to proc because U get way too many.
The set bonus on 4 type on infantry set is good march speed for F2p infantry they can do 4 set bonus shield , helm , gloves , boots and addition of hope cloak , enternal night
This is the best gear for infantry for F2P maximum. Kvk weapon is too much for f2p
I would say this isn't F2P realistic however very effective and very fast when paired with 2 windswept, wind scars, and either march speed flag or moras web for cav slow down

I have an unpopular opinion. I don’t like games with equipment systems based on Rare items. And then that’s why I was down why I don’t play call of duty zombies. and then gets into why I think left 4 Dead is the only good zombie game and and then people say oh what about the last of us and then I say it’s trash and then people get mad at me. And I think you see where this is going.

eternight night is better on commander that have many health boost/stat.. like Pakal/Harald, they need defense stat cuz firstly harald 3rd skill reduces 5% of their defense and Pakal has 30% health stat so to balance it out you need to stack up the defense for better tradeoff
How is 20% attack worst than 10.5% healt really? Its like 9.5% more. I know healt is better for inf, but 9,5% bro.. thats should give you better trades am i wrong?

I don't disagree that the Infa shield is a massive use of materials, but the legs and chest from the infa set are SO bad that there's no other way to get the 4-piece march speed. You'd be choosing to NOT craft the Hope Cloak or the Eternal Night for defence, and instead spending 60 gold materials on 11% attack. The extra 30 mats for another 9% attack on the shield is a big investment but is the cheapest 9% gold-stats I think that's out there
Hmmm this might be the case, but I was making this video from the lens of an average player. Most players won’t ever craft a 4-piece legendary set, but a 2-piece set bonus is very possible
U don't craft shios for the .5 percent u craft it to try and get the talent if u can't get the set boots like me and honestly in this day any little bit of Stat boost I will take
