Real VR Fishing Sharks: How to hook them more often and not to lose them! Also, general shark info!

- This my video on my Fish Buffett method for hooking more sharks. It is a simple trick, only get fish on the line that sharks have the highest likelihood of taking. Then release those fish after two fights if a shark does not take it, sharks won't take a fish after it has fought two times. Release that fish, and repeat this process until a shark takes it. If you are looking to catch more sharks, this is the best way to go about it. It can get boring, but if sharks are your thing, you will have success!
In the first part of the video, I also give some tips on how to land sharks. I give several of examples of what most people do wrong, causing a shark to jump off the line, even when your line is white. This happens when you lose the, what we call "directional fights." This is when the fish runs left, and you pull to the right, or if it pulls straight back, you pull straight back. If you lose too many of these fights, this is what causes your shark to jump off, for what appears to be no reason.
In the second part of the video, I go into more detail about this. I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND catching a few sharks on normal mode, using the in-game meter to help you win these fights. I promise, if you are losing sharks, it is because you may think you are doing the fights properly but are not really winning them.
There is a distinct sound the game makes when you win and lose these fights, which is demonstrated in this video. The sound of winning is a solid splash, the sound of losing is more of a splutter. If you record you own videos and watch them, I will bet 99% of the time, right before you shark jumps off, you will hear the splutter after a missed fight.
Once you land 5 or so sharks on normal mode, you will see the repetition on how they fight. You can miss every single "snap" this is when a fish jumps, and you give your pole a quick jerk, you will hear a small snap sound if you do this correctly. You can miss all of these, and still land the biggest of sharks. You CANNOT miss all the directional fights and still land the shark; it will jump off at some point.
Shark Facts:
Sharks will take medium sized fish more than any other, on the fish finder those are ones with no fins. They will take large fish, but not as frequently, those are the ones with one fin on the fish finder. They will NEVER take a huge fish; those are the ones with two fins on the fish finder.
Sharks do not come from any particular spots on a map, it is always random. So, if someone tells you where they caught some sharks, don't bother trying to go to that spot on that location, that is not how the game is programmed.
It does not matter what type of fish you have on the line when a shark takes it, with regards to the size or species of the shark that takes it, that is also always random. An example of the misconception would be, "if you have a Redtail Surf Perch on your line, you are more likely to catch a Great White." This will never be the case with any "bait" fish; it has no impact on shark species or size.
Certain sharks, except one, do not show up more on any level than another. The exception seems to be the Great White, it shows up, or at least to for a very long time, more often on US 20, than any other of the US levels.
In closing, with regards to landing the sharks; they are just like any other big fish, if you can land those, you can land the sharks. Players tend to get nervous and make mistakes, abandoning what has worked with catching all of their other fish. Follow the tips in this video, and you should be bringing them in in no time!

Thanks for that i always thought missing the snap was the reason i lost a shark even on a white line i now know its the left right fight cheers for that.. so thats how you know the size of fish its to do with fins and can now save myself a load of time shark fishing

Since it seems like other angler videos talk about watching for the medium size fish near the shark.. to catch them.... My question now is... Do you use BAIT(s) to catch Medium Fish first to CATCH the Shark that Eats them or the Bait A to catch the Shark Directly ?? Thanks again for your valueful time. Good Luck yourself
Yes, you use the regular bait to catch the medium fish.

Can't believe it i just had times when i did not even hit a shark and now after watichn this i just got 3 TIGER SHARKS in UNDER AN HOUR
My line will snap every single time. Within seconds. Idk what I'm doing wrong. Do I need to be a certain level or something.
You have to have a good rod, if you have rod a and reel a then you should be fine, do not real once the shark is on, or else it will snap
Do you have to be MAX Level to catch or even hook a shark?
Ok update, I've been hooking them at a level below 10 but they snap the line quickly. I understand now that my rod and reel need to be better.
How do you get the fish finder or were ?😊
It's automatically on there while on easy or normal. It don't appear if it's on hard/expert. It should appear as soon as you grab your pole.
What is the fish finder?
It comes up on hard mode, it gives you an idea of where the fish are and whether or not they like what you are fishing with. Green is best, yellow is second, red is last.

I have a question, why is it that I cannot see "large " fish ( with 2 fins) on my fish finder? Do I have to be at a certain xp level before I can access the big fish?
If you are in freshwater, there are "huge" fish, those are the ones with two fins. In saltwater, you have to reach fishing license level 17 or 18 before the game starts to allow you to catch these.
I caught my first tiger shark which is my first shark and I've caught a bunch of sharks science then this was the last video before I caught it

Owner as in owns a copy of the game? So does alot of people myself included, i do not have max credits.
If you mean owner of the game as in publisher or developer who made it that would make more sense however I'm fairly certain that is not what you mean.
