Crazy how todays farmers feel the need to use such large tractors to do such simple jobs that we did with those small utility tractors back in the 1960's.
I’ve got an old Ford 501 but it didn’t have the rod or bracket & I’m wanting to fabricate one but need the length of the rod & need to know if it pushes or pulls to raise the tip of the bar!! Help here would be appreciated, I just want to have an extra hay cutter on the rough areas of my field.
I bought a ford 501 sickle mower last year that's in pretty good shape Mowed my 20 acre hay field with it twice already. But I hit a t post with it last time I mowed. The breakaway did what it was supposed to do, but I don't know how to adjust it back to operation again. do you know how to get it back to normal?
Takes me back to the 60s when I was a kid on the farm, I used to mow acres of hay fields
