A passionate sports lover turning into a great para-athlete. Cheer for Champions Ep 14

Sakshi Kasana, a para-discus thrower, Asian Para-Games medalist and a National Champion. Coming from a family of farmers, Sakshi had a strong interest in sports since her school days. But in 2017, a car accident left her paralysed. During her rehabilitation, a doctor introduced her to para-sports.
In 2021, she took up discus throw as her discipline. She competed in her first national-level competition and won 2 silver medals. With sports as her sanctuary, she fiercely pursued her passions. Her passion was rewarded with a gold medal at the Italian Open World Para Athletics Grand Prix in 2022.
Her talent shone on the global stage as she won a bronze medal at the Asian Games 22 and set a national record with 22.06m. A Master's student and an athlete, she's balancing both worlds.
We joined Sakshi in her sporting journey in 2024, and with the help of our corporate partner, we assisted her with an advanced wheelchair & access to competitions. As a true student mastering everything, we wish her all the best!
